Mothers Day - understandably busy for Mothers Day. Waitress kept forgetting half the drink/food order. Food and drinks were pretty good. If it weren’t for the holiday, I assume it would be better but it’s definitely worth coming back on a non-holiday. Ultimate fav was the shrimp and grits and the salmon and grits...to die for!!!
Food was good but the waiter was better. He took really good care of my table.
Other than having to wait 30 minutes to be seated everything else was fantastic. Great food, great wait staff and great hostess.
Excellent food and service. A great place to Brunch with the girls
We went for Mother's Day Brunch. We had a reservation, we didn't have to wait long when we arrived. The servers were excellent! They kept the mimosa's flowing. The food was good, even though it was small plates, you did not have to wait long in between orders.
Great food and service, I would recommend the bathroom be attended to more and include a paper towel dispenser instead of the air dryer. Also taking the handles off the bathroom entry/exit door so we don't have to use hands
The food was not good, but the service was fantastic
Loved the food, but the execution was poor due to the restaurant being understaffed. Our server tried his best but had way too many tables to provide adequate service. I am sure this difficult during COVID, I would love to try again on a nonholiday date.
The service was wonderful. The food was also wonderful. I went for brunch, I do not eat much. I did not like that the food was basically a buffet style presented in full service restaurant style. Ultimately I paid $70 do brunch and ate one of the small plates which is equivalent to approximately $10
3 couples there to celebrate our May anniversaries. Our table was ready on time, our server was attentive and the food was good.
The service was great the food was excellent and great atmosphere. I always love Georgia Brown. Have never had a bad meal at this establishment.
Great Customer experience, great food, and great time!
We absolutely loved it. We’ll be back next time we’re in the area
Overall, everything was ok. Food was ok but very pricey. Everything felt a little rushed and they were behind schedule.
Crowded, but great service and the food was excellent.
Met up with friends for Sunday brunch and had a blast. Food was excellent and server Will did an exceptional job!, Not only that, my chair leg broke off unexpectedly and I tumbled backwards to the ground.. Elbow and arm were banged up pretty bad along with my pride. The manager, Claudius and staff came immediately to ensure I was alright..
Overall, i would highly recommend this establishment for an afternoon or night out..
Admittedly, the last time I had visited Georgia Browns was in 2005/2006. At that time, the buffet included a take-home entree.
Perhaps my palette has been refined in the last 15+yrs but the food was unappealing, especially at $70/person. There’s no live music (due to Covid restrictions) and you do not get a take-home entree. Given the adequate at best food options, it is difficult to determine what you’re paying for, outside of the name.
Price was outrages
Food wasn't worth $70
and not good. Will not go back not the same.
Brunch was awesome! And Georgia Brown’s adjustment to work through the Covid situation is great. Thanks for the great experience, music, food and cocktails.
The music food and service was awesome
Great food and service. The Sea Bass was excellent!
Wonderful experience! We enjoyed the food and atmosphere! Covid safety guidelines are adhered, and the outside patio option is beautiful. We can’t wait to come back. Please open one in Chicago!
Brunch service was great, service was slow, but server may have been overloaded. Music kept going in and out. Food was immaculate
Amazing food and ambiance! Best Sunday brunch!
an official DC staple. i haven't been in over 10yrs so it was good to partake. i'll be back
Everything was PHENOMENAL!! From decorum, to ambience. The food was spectacular. I definitely recommend the banana pudding!!
Slow service, good was average, drinks were very good. The restrooms need to be cleaned.
Delicious food , wonderful place, very warm and comfortable. I would recommend this place many times over.
Four of us had dinner here on a Wed. night. We almost had the restaurant to ourselves as pandemic restrictions were being lifted. The atmosphere was good and the service great. However, the food was average. I had heard so much about the place and being from out-of-town I had high expectations. The gumbo was ok but seemed overcooked, and low on flavor. The shrimp was added on top of the gumbo which was a bit unusual. The fried green tomatoes weren’t tasty either and undercooked. They were kind enough to remove them from my bill since I only ate one slice. The service was great and the margaritas I had were on point.
Went for Sunday brunch, the selection was vast. We tried nearly everything on the brunch menu, it was fantastic. We had gumbo, shrimp n grits, salmon, steak n eggs, crab Benedict, chicken n waffles, mac n cheese, duck hash, and dirty rice. The mimosas & bellinis were very good as well. It did take quite a while for the server to bring our additional plates. However it was pretty busy that morning and he was extremely polite. I found it a bit pricey in my opinion.
Overall it was a wonderful experience. Couple of the staple dishes (Mac and cheese, potato salad were not well seasoned/ bland ). Don’t forget to make the main thing the main thing... food quality has always been exceptional. But just coming back after being down a year and accounting for the changes made adjust for safety.... still outstanding! Glad you are back!!!
Food is simply exceptional. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, presented well. Southern food at its best.
My fiancée and I had a great time at Georgia Brown’s. The food was good though pricey, and the atmosphere was really nice. We had a nice time just being out again during COVID and having a nice meal.
The price was somewhat high but very delicious. Our family was visiting DC for the first time and the experience was amazing. It did take a short time to be seated with a reservation but it is understandable given the restaurant was not operating at full capacity.
Had a great first experience here, food was great!!
Worst shrimp and grits I've ever had.
Food was great, it just seemed like there was a need for more servers to be working.
The food and the service was excellent. The staff was extremely welcoming and offered honest opinions when my wife and I asked questions about the menu.
Generally good southern style cuisine. Fried liver excellent
