Low Country
Come and experience our lively interpretation of South Carolina Low-Country cuisine. Enjoy good southern food, servers who bubble over with hospitality, and a dining room that is truly distinctive. With its golden woods and bronze sculptures that crawl across the ceiling, designer Adam Tihany has created an atmosphere to awaken your senses. What better place to enjoy low country cuisine than in this contemporary environment celebrating the south. Offering the flavor of the South - the Soul of Washington; where we will be sure to leave a light burning in the window for you, our guests.

The food was good, however the service was very slow. Our drinks came after the appetizer and main course was out.

There was a screaming child at the restaurant that screamed for the whole time I was there it disturbed the whole restaurant . The food is very very overrated worst green I ever had no flavor to much vinegar and dry. Marconi and cheese gross. Catfish fingers were good and biscuits great. That about it we spent 220 dollars for 3 people . We all felt like we wasted money. We were visiting from California . We won’t be back never

I hate to give a poor review, but this was the absolute worse dining experience I have ever encountered. I was embarrassed as a Black person for the way our food was represented at GB. It lacked ALL of the soul that one would expect in some good ol’ home down southern soul food that your grandma would make for you after church for Sunday dinner. The gumbo was too spicy to eat and the roux extremely thick; all 3 orders weren’t eaten and one sent back. The “deviled” shrimp-please don’t do this. Just take it off the menu. The fried green tomatoes were flavorless and undercooked; too thick. Traditional sides: mac-n-cheese and yams, once again no flavor and the MC was oily too. When the cornbread was placed on the table as an app, we should have gotten up at the table then. Cornbread was cold, lacked butter, and was so sweet it could have been cake. Besides, who serves cornbread with unsalted margarine? The cocktails were sent back to make again and the peach cobbler was really a peach crisp that was also disappointing. The kitchen had one Black gentleman who was the head chef who should have been given a better kitchen staff who understands flavor profile. Additionally, it should have been an indicator to us that the restaurant was empty on a Friday evening at 7:30. Oh yea! The seats…upholstered without cushions or at least that’s the way they felt. My back was in so much pain when I got up, I could barely move. When the bill came, we couldn’t believe… almost $500 for 6 people and for what? NOTHING was good about GB except maybe the servers, and it was good service… just meh. We came for my sister’s birthday but all we kept doing was comparing her experience to mine at RPM the day before. Impeccable service and food over there… and our bill was $100 cheaper for the same amount of folks. After we left GB, we were so hungry. We would up walking a block and a half to grab food.

I recently dined at Georgia Brown’s for a business dinner and, unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory, and I’m embarrassed that I recommended Georgia Brown’s for my clients dinner. From the moment we were seated, the service felt incredibly rushed. Our server seemed more interested in turning over our table quickly than ensuring we had an enjoyable meal. To make matters worse, after we finished eating, we had to wait an unusually long time for our bill. Despite this delay being entirely out of our control, we were abruptly informed that we needed to leave, adding an unnecessary layer of frustration to an already disappointing evening. Overall, the rushed service and the discourtesy we experienced made for an unpleasant visit. I hope Georgia Brown’s can improve their service and provide a more welcoming atmosphere for future guests.

Awesome experience! I've been here before, but I took my grandmother for the jazz brunch. She absolutely loved it. The guy on sax played happy birthday for her personally at our table. The food was excellent and the smiles on her face were even better.
