If you are hesitating about going to this restaurant, please put it aside. Not only was the food fantastic, our server, Diamond, was outstanding!!! First time mom and I decided to give this restaurant a try and so glad we did. On our menu, fried chicken liver, Charleston perlau, fried catfish, dirty rice and collard greens - everything was delicious. Now back to our server Diamond. I called earlier in the week to ask about parking since my mom is unable to walk long distances and spoke with Diamond - she told me to ask for her when we arrived at the restaurant, but luckily, I was able to get a parking spot right out front of the establishment. I found out later, after we were seated, that Diamond was going to move her car for us, so my mom would only have to walk across the street - who does this?!? I'll tell you who, a caring server named Diamond who melted my heart when she told me this!!! With staff like this and outstanding food, how can this restaurant go wrong. Head to Georgia Brown's in DC as soon as can. You definitely won't be disappointed in the food and service. Once again, Diamond, thank for you outstanding service and your kindness. Our food was delivered hot and never did we have to ask for drink refills - she took great care of us as I am sure she does all her customers. These first timers will defintely be back. Thank you!!
While the service here was great the food left a lot to be desired. I’m from the south and this “southern” cuisine did nothing for my palate. I loved the atmosphere and again the service was superb, we just did not love the food.
Dined at GB’s for RW! The ambiance was perfect for a 7PM dinner date! My fiancé and I ordered specifically from the Restaurant Week menu aside of our cocktails. We ordered the Mr. Hartley and Down Yonder Cocktails; both were satisfying, but the Down Yonder was our favorite.
For Apps we got the Kale Salad and Fried Green tomatoes which were flavorful. Now the entrees — ehh, I expected more, but was under whelmed. We selected the Seafood Pasta and the Smothered Surf and Turf. We agree that both dishes lacked flavor. You know when something is just “missing” ? That’s how our taste buds felt. For dessert we chose the banana pudding and peach cobbler. The bananas included in the pudding were about 3. I didn’t bother with the peach cobbler Bc they forgot my ice cream.
All in all, 7.5/10. I’d return to try brunch.
Georgia Brown's has delicious food, exceptional staff, beautiful ambience, and decadent desserts. I appreciated the spacing between tables.
I was disappointed in the menu selection for Restaurant Week; definitely not worth the cost!

50th birthdate celebration
Food was great! Love it
Birthday celebration was great! Food was awesome! I will return.
Really accommodating and professional staff! Will definitely be back for their 6 course brunch on Sundays 🔥🔥
Great dinner! Wonderful Service! Nice team. Lovely atmosphere.
It was a nice brunch
The food and service were excellent - because our table was directly in front of the band it was a bit loud however the music was good.
As always, Georgia Brown’s brunch never fails! Amazing biscuits, fluffy omelettes and live music! This was the perfect restaurant for a small birthday brunch.
Big disappointment. Not worth the $60/person.
Always a good time. We went for a Friday night dinner. Jose, our waiter, was on top of everything.
Food was great and our waiter Jose was excellent! I’m a repeat customer so I’ll be back soon!!!
The food and service was excellent. Our server was the absolute best. The live band was a bonus. The band was great! Loved the Corinne Bailey Rae selection and they sang HBD to my daughter and me.
Can’t wait to come back.
we were sitting outside and it was a little annoying because we could hear the jazz band and the recorded music. it was distracting and just sounded like noise. but we loved everything else.
As always, the food was great. It’s clear the restaurant is in reset mode. Several menu options not available. If they could use some sort of tool to inform servers as menus are being delivered that would go a long way service-wise:
Enjoyed the food at Georgia Brown’s, and the service was friendly and reasonably attentive. We are vegetarians and the options are somewhat limited except for ordering ala carte side dishes (which are a bit pricey at $10 per). The mac and cheese and sautéed spinach were favorites, the garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed green beans were also tasty. Dined on a getting busy early Saturday evening (Jan 1st) and the OpenTable reservation was our ticket to a table right away. Huzzah!
They require a 20%gratutity which is no problem but give service. Not once did waiter pour any of my wine or ask if it was good. Lots of people I noticed were sending food back and the deviled eggs were bland and definitely not worth the price but they did take them off the menu. However the fried chicken was excellent
The quality of the food is not worth the high prices. Very disappointing to spend so much money on extremely average foodm We waited 15 minutes for water. A waiter (not our main waiter) served our food to another table and kept pulling his mask down.
Great meal. The restaurant is beautiful. Cocktails were ok. Would go again to try other dishes on the menu
The food was kind of bland. There was nothing that really stuck out in flavor or taste. The jerk catfish didn’t have a kick and the fried red snapper didn’t have any flavor.
Food was excellent, bar service was a little slow. Other than that would 100% go back. The kitchen exceeded all expectations!
New Years Eve family dinner was great. The only negative experience was having a reservation at 8:15pm and getting seated at 8:42pm. Beside this our waiter was efficient and the food and drinks was amazing.
Amazing service from the hostess to the server Gianni!!!
Unbelievable. It started with the wonderful hostess and the service staff. The food was wonderful. So fresh. The atmosphere was incredibly festive.
Food was outstanding and I love the ambiance and how upscale would food can be served! Definitely coming back and telling everyone about this place. I was also recommended by a friend to come here and I’m so glad I did.
I gave this restaurant mostly five stars because the wonderful staff. Very nice and polite hostess. The bartenders made really good drinks, and our server was great. Some of the food items did not taste all that good. For instance, the max & cheese was not good. And they didn’t have crab cakes. Crab cakes are a must. Last, this may seem unimportant but the ladies room was really, really clean and nice. That always makes me feel better about a place. If a restaurant makes sure it’s bathrooms are clean after lots of people use it all day. That’s a good sign to me. Blackened salmon and greens was also good. As was the catfish sticks and the sauce for the catfish sticks. Enjoy
Food was ok. The location was great our server was amazing. You must get sweet tea if you go.
After 20+ years coming to Georgia Brown’s it is consistent. Thank you and Happy New Year!
Georgia Browns is still my favorite restaurant in the city!!
Best food in DC hands down! Ambiance and wait staff is on point making for a truly wonderful dining experience. Everything we tried on the menu was superb-buttermilk chicken, chops, perlau, biscuits…could go on and on. Don’t pass this place up!
Great food and service!!!! I will definitely be back 😍
Great food and great service. We ate outside because of Covid and it was a lovely evening!
On holiday. William was awesome server.
My visit was a gift from a client of mine whom I sold a home too a few months ago. I hadn't been there for some time, but really liked the food and the way that it was prepared. My brother and step father were long time chefs and cooks for CRC and I was not disappointed with anything when I was there last night. I will be back again soon.
I wouldn't return. Service was lacking. Food flavoring was off. The sides were decent though. Cocktails inconsistent. Not what I remember it to be at all. S terrible dive.
