We had a great time! Definitely get a reservation, don’t chance it.
Friendly service. Delicious food!
Great food and service! Bartender is fantastic!
Food, music and ambience was great. Just our server didn’t write our order down and messed it up. Missed food we ordered and added stuff we didn’t order. If he would have wrote it down instead of trying to remember it’s would have been a overall great experience.
The ambience and food was good. Waiter was a little flustered but polite. Waited a little long for service after receiving our food.
The food was excellent. Music was great...Just didn’t like our seating arrangement. Tables too small and a little too tight to get around.
The food was ok. The service was good. I had to ask for a menu . and my take home meal "shrimp and grits" was favor full but super runny.
The food was awful (Sunday Jazz Brunch). I was raised by a southern cook. The food was far from traditional southern cuisine. The food was just not worth it. The desserts were bad too. The peach cobbler is just canned peached with crumbled pastry on top. Stick with the omelet bar if you just have to go. It was the only thing we could finish. My husband and I were truly disappointed.
The food, music and ambience was overall excellent. However, the seating was poor and posed problems for patrons, and waiters and waitresses walking by. In the future, I suggest they make tables appropriate for seating and not try to squeeze more people in an area that is best suited for 2 or 3 people.
the menu could stand to be updated to include more low-carb choices, but then, that is not what you go to GB's and worry over. The food, atmosphere, friendliness ..it was all there and was great.
This is my favorite place for Sunday Jazz brunch. Anytime I am up in the area I try to get there
Much better than previous visits. Perhaps because we started brunch early. Disappointed that there was no one actually carving at the carving station. The meat served was covered in a sauce - didn’t seem freshly carved.
Still, enjoyed ourselves.
Went to Georgia Brown's for brunch. Restaurant is small. To of us seated very close to the couple at the next table. So close, that we could have participated in their conversation if the live music were not SO loud. Our server did not mention the bottomless mimosas/bloody Marys. Good thing I read the menu online in advance. Food was tasty -- my brunch companion did not like the sweet grits. Omelet station was oddly located behind a counter.
Was seated immediately and greeted by waitstaff very fast. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food arrived in a decent time and it was hot. However, the food (chicken breast, mashed potatoes, and collards) lacked any type of seasoning—it was just bland. My guest had the gumbo which he said was very good. Price was expensive considering the quality and portion of food. I may go back once more to give them another chance
Overall pleased with the experience at Georgia Brown’s. The service was polite and professional ! My wife and myself will be dinner here again soon.
Loved the atmosphere it was very romantic for me and my hubby for valentines day. The food was excellent and the service was perfect ... we are definitely going back!!!
The food was excellent, our waiter was professional but funny. The worst part about our dinner was two of the people at our table received two drinks and the glasses were dirty. They made new drinks but that wasn't enough in my opinion to compensate drinking behind someone else that you don't know.
Long wait for food to be brought to table. The lamb was small, dry and non flavorful. The basket of bread was cold as well.
It was valentines and we were surprised to know it was a set menu. I didn't see that prior to making our reservations. When we arrived the hosts greeted us with open arms. After being shown to our table. We waited for 30-45mins before any waiter came to bring us water. When asked about our waiter we were told ”Mario” was on his way with bread. The waiter kept looking over us and taking care of guest we came in way after us. We had to flag Mario to get his attention and he still act like we were invisible. He forget what we ordered etc. We continue to ask other waiters for help because Mario wasn't doing his job. We asked Mario if I could substitute something because I as vegan and he flat out said no! (it's 70 per person ) after 20mins a manager ask if we were doing ok, I said no and explained why. He said ”let me talk to the cook to see of he can make a black-eyed cake” .. 15mins later it was at the table. My wife’s mash potatoes were cold. It was our first time visiting Georgia Brown’s and it will be our last.
Went for Valentine’s Day, this was a 80 dollar per person prefix menu, rather expensive but I didn’t mind as I was told this restaurant was amazing. Reservation was for 845, wasn’t seated until 910. Attempted to order the surf n turf only to be told that they no longer had this option available...mind you the restaurant closes at 11pm. Not sure how the logistics for food was calculated for such a big day as Valentine’s Day but to have a prefix menu and run out of primary food choices 2 hours before closing, is bad. Had to choose an option I’m not particularly partial too, and did not enjoy it. Overall, horrible experience.
We waiting to get drink 45min and what I pick for the menu don’t have (only have special menu for Valentine’s Day)
The service is so bad I’m not going back ..
1:20 min I there and I not get food !
Food significantly over priced with underwhelming flavors. Only had 1 vegetarian option.
Wonderful ambiance and service. Valentine's Day menu prices slightly inflated, would've preferred regular menu; however food was delicious.
paper on top of cloth tab Eminem. Replaced dirty cutlery on table after appetizers. Server did not discuss children a option
Baited and switched on price. Meal should have been $24pp ended up being $70pp without advance notice. The food wasn’t worth $24pp. This was fraud. Needless to say we won’t be going back.
The service and food was good. I had the shrimp and grits years ago and it ranked as my all time favorite at the time. But this time, the shrimp and grits was under seasoned and very bland. I will come back but not for the shrimp and grits.
Great meal, great ambiance, great drinks! Highly recommend!
A great way to start Southern Comfort aka Happy Hour & finish with dinner listening to live Jazz.
It’s our favorite place to go when our co-workers/friends are in town
Georgia Brown's is a great place for a business lunch or a special meal with friends. The food is always good, although they were missing a few basic items yesterday, tea bags, for example. The dining room was a little cold, but the food was wonderful. I ordered salmon, which was perfectly prepared and seasoned.
Service was superior. Food was out of this world! Still salivating just thinking about it! Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and felt like an old friend. Do yourself a favor and go!
We had a 1:30 pm reservation for a party of 3. Checked in with the hostess right at 1:30 pm who told us there would be a slight wait - however, we were not seated until 2:10 pm. However, once seated, we enjoyed the buffet and got our entree selections to go. The waiter informed that the hostess ended up taking our drinks (we had two cocktails and a soda) off of our bill because of our patience while waiting. So overall a good experience.
Great time enjoy the brunch variety and the jazz music
Great ambiance with band during Sunday brunch. Service was great. I wasn’t impressed with the “soul food”; taste and variety were mediocre, especially for a $50 brunch meal.
Inconsiderate service and had better food at cafeteria!
Great food, great service. On my ‘have to visit’ list every time I am in D.C.
Many things were not available due to the grill being broken. Consequently, the vent fans were not running causing the dining room to be extremely hot and smokey. Also, after asking for our check, we waited for 40 minutes to get it.
Amazing ambiance and environment.
great food...comfort food...and fantastic service!
