It was an amazing and flawless dinner. Perfectly executed. Staff made for an enjoyable experience. We will be back.
Always a pleasure....never disappointed. Have been visiting George since it opened and hosted a PR event here in the past.
Historically the food has always been WOW good. This time it was good but not WOW good so I was disappointed. We had the halibut mains and the fish was a touch overdone to me plus it did not have a lot of flavour. My other major complaint was the mains were served almost immediately after we ordered. The wine bottle was just being opened when the mains arrived. Everything felt so rushed like the wanted us out of there ASAP. Service was good but rushed. The sommelier recommended a very nice wine to match the food. Full marks to the sommelier. The restaurant is quite noisy.
Amazingly creative and delicious!
3 of us got the seven course tasting menu. Surprisingly, with the exception of the amuse bouche, the three dishes for each course were different. We sampled each other’s so we actually had a 19 course tasting menu.
A great experience for a special occasion.
My dinner at George was exceptional good and memorable.
The seven course tasting menu with wine was perfectly paired and nicely paced. I have dined at fine restaurants in many cities around the world. I would rank my experience at George in the top ten.
We went for lunch. The waiter was very attentive and careful. Small details were carefully observed, such as turning the cups so that the handle would be in the right place. When he observed a patron with walking difficulties, he pointed her to a bathroom on the main floor instead of downstair. He was knowledgable and polite, and made a number of helpful suggestions.
The bread came without any butter, but we soon realized it didn't need any. It had just the right combination of softness, chewiness, and crispness on the outside. The 3-grain salad was delicious and delightful. The combination of flavours was surprising in a lovely way. We enjoyed each bit. The tenderloin sandwich was also a discovery, with meat as tender as you can imagine. We had the cornish hen as the main course. At most other restaurants it would have been great, but after the first two courses, it didn't stand out as much as we had expected.
The two of us don't have huge appetites, so we shared the three dishes and it was just the right amount for a long lunch.
Overall, it was a lovely afternoon.
We went to George for a birthday celebration, always wonderful. Service is excellent and food was delicious.
A tasteful symphony of textures and flavors. If you’re looking for enticing dishes to sweep you off your feet, look no further. A menu full of curated dishes and a staff that’s every bit as knowledgeable about the menu as the chef, this place is every foodie’s dream come true
Excellent experience! We had the 7 course tasting menu. Each dish was unique and exceptional. Great service as well.
Highly recommend it!
