George Martin's Strip Steak Ratings and Reviews
One of our favorite restaurants, they are first class all the way. From the minute you walk in the front door, you are warmly and personally greeted. The service is outstanding, as is the food! You will not be disappointed. The woman who sang on Saturday night had a beautiful voice that really enhanced our dining experience. Always a great time at George Martin!
I would give this dining experience a solid 10+! The host was so nice and made us feel so comfortable as soon as we stepped foot in the place. The manager was very sweet and thoughtful. She brought my husband and I a champagne toast over shortly after sitting to cheers our anniversary. The food was phenomenal. I had the skirt steak and my husband devoured his ribeye both cooked to perfection. We can’t wait to go back and I would highly recommend this great restaurant.
The porterhouse for two was fabulous. The desserts were also amazing. Everybody in our party of 7 loved their food, the only downside was the service. Or server brought out 2 plates at a time thus there were 4 trips to the kitchen before we were all served.
A decent meal and reasonably priced. There are better steaks to be had in the area but I will certainly visit again. Some of the deserts were creative and daring but not well executed.
Steak temperature was accurate and service was excellent. Server knew the menu which is always appreciated.
We waited far too long despite a reservation. Sat at the bar for an hour and the bartender never looked our way. Then we were sandwiched between two large parties. My boyfriend had to speak to one party bc two men were dropping the “f bomb” every two seconds. Food was fine. Atmosphere was poor and for the price we shouldn’t have felt like sardines. Waitress backside was uncomfortably close to us as she continued to help the other parties throughout our meal Disappointed.
My husband and I visited Strip Steak for Restaurant Week. We have visited this restaurant several times in the past and have always enjoyed our meals. This time was no different. We had an enjoyable meal and thought that the value for the meal was quite reasonable. We will definitely be returning in the future.
My wife and I have been coming here for about 6 years almost every anniversary and Valentine's Day. The steaks are second to none, great beer and wine selections. They always have new cocktails. We sat for a Prix Fix menu during restaurant week and as usual George Martin's did not disappoint.
We went to George Martin's Strip Steak for our first time because we were impressed by the Long Island Restaurant Week menu. Our appetizers were scrumptious - my husband had the Pop Shrimp and I had the GM chopped salad. For the entree my husband had the lobster ravioli - this was also amazing, and I had the skirt steak. It was delicious, but a little on the chewy side, which is why I couldn't give five stars for the food overall. The waiter did say that their higher-priced restaurant-week skirt steak (just below $50) has higher steak quality, to be fair, but we were trying to stick to the standard price. The dessert, I can't remember the exact name, was a berry crisp a la mode - and was perfect.
We will definitely be back - the ambiance was lovely, the service was impeccable and the food was quite tasty.
This was our first visit and when we walked in we were impressed by the 'steak house' decor. Very elegant. We had a reservation but were told we'd have to wait. When asked how long the hostess said she'd find out. To her credit she returned prompted and said around 20 minutes because the table was just being served dessert. After 10 minutes had passed, a manager came over and apologized for our wait. I cannot tell you how much that was appreciated. And it was worth the wait! The food was delicious and the service impeccable. We were a party of seven and there is no doubt we will all return.
We went on the first day of restaurant week , a SUnday night for three people the food was excellent , we enjoyed everything , apps were good and entrees were all excellent . We had skirt steak , grilled pork chop & Salmon . It was my birthday and the waitress came to table after the meal with a gift card as a gesture of genoristy for coming out for my birthday :)
Well before that I made a decsion that we would come back . Very nice evening
IT WAS OK. NOT GREAT. THE STEAK WAS VERY GOOD BUT THE CHICKEN SCARPIELLO WAS MORE LIKE A STEW. SERVICE WAS GOOD UNTIL THE END AND THE WAITER DISAPPEARED FOR A WHILE YET HE DID A GOOD JOB OTHERWISE. NOT SURE IF I WOULD TRY AGAIN. MY FIANCE WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE ONLY CHICKEN DISH ON THE MENU.
