George Martin's Grillfire Ratings and Reviews
This was our first visit to Grillfire and we were impressed! The hostess was very cordial, pleasant and professional. Our server was very natural and confident. The food was outstanding. We will most definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be back!
I was pleased with the service. Our server was attentive and friendly. The Caesar salad was delicious. However, we barely were finished our salads when the entrees arrived. We ordered the center-cut filets with mashed potatoes, the biggest disappointment was that our steaks were undercooked. At $33 a person, I expected better quality.
Friday night seems to be a very busy night. I was glad I made reservations, because after we arrived the restaurant filled up quickly. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for a date night. The restaurant was a chilly, a bit loud and we were out in less than an hour.
I had a reservation for 4 and when seated we walked past several empty tables only to be sat in the back near a large family gathering of at least 30 people. It was fine at first but the large party got very loud and we could not hear each other. What bothers me the most is that we walked past several open booths, but they sat us near this large party. Our server was helping out with the large party and we couldn't find her several times.
A relaxing evening out with friends at Grillfire. We enjoyed Delicious food — the grilled salmon, Cajun spiced and Thai cihili glazed, was outstanding as was the shrimp and lobster fettuccine. Our waitress, Sue, was great about ensuring the special dietary needs of one diner were met. We spent almost 3 hours catching up and never were rushed or felt hurried. The only hiccup we experienced was a request for bread minus the standard cheese and butter — the bread didn’t arrive until almost the end of our meal.
My close friends from college had dinner on New Year's Eve. Our servers were great (very attentive and pleasant) and the drinks were even greater. We shared a few appetizers - brussels sprouts (which got mixed reviews from the group) shrimp (which was the fan favorite of the evening) and oysters (which were good but average). Five of us ordered the T-bone steak and NOBODY liked them. The steak was tasteless and tough - like eating leather. Two of us sent our steaks back in exchange for pork chops - which were amazing! The salmon also got a good review. It was disappointing not to have a good steak - especially for the price but, overall, dinner was yummy and our dining experience was memorable. I would go back for the pork chops and cocktails. The place is pretty and upscale, yet not fussy.
Very nice place for a group gathering. Some of the food presentations were very unique (i.e. the miniature crab balls were served in a vintage style crab meat can). The cocktail menu is just right as well and cotton candy ending was sooo cute. Overall my family enjoyed this location and will definitely be visiting again.
Nice spot for a basically casual business lunch. Easy to make and get a reservation (on Open Table), we were immediately seated, greeted by staff, professionally served, very good food, and reasonably priced. The attached free parking garage makes Grillfire a real winner.
Went on Christmas At 5:30. Great Location. Parking was very close. Scenery was very nice. My wife had Meatloaf and I had Crab Cakes. Asked for Riesling and they were out. Had Mascoto instead. It was sweeter than I liked but we both had 2 glasses. They bread was very good, don't like to fill up on it, but we ate the whole thing. The Crab cakes were a little dry, but we Will be going back again soon.
I visited on a Thursday night for a girl's night out. There were three of us. It was very busy, being a few days before Christmas. We purposely went for happy hour. When we arrived, the restaurant was extremely busy, especially the bar area. All tables were taken and the bar was full, and it didn't look like anyone was planning on leaving anytime soon. They had to seat us in the main dining area. Us ladies standing around for who knows how long in heels and nowhere to eat or sit our drinks down- NOT HAPPENING! I asked our server if we could still have the happy hr deals, but he said we couldn't. This is a pet peeve of mine when restaurants do this: Have very little seating in the bar area, so more patrons are forced to sit in an area where they can't take advantage of deals. Please change this. It's an outdated policy. They apparently don't realize that the more people think they are getting a deal, the more they order (please see Marketing 101). Restaurants that have the happy hour menu available all throughout the restaurant make more money. As a result, we ended up ordering way less than what we would have ordered if we were given the happy hr menu. Plus, I had a coupon:)
This is a go-to restaurant - there is something for everyone. The quality of food and service are always excellent. I am never disappointed and highly recommend you give this place a try. There are steaks, ribs, seafood and even good old fashion meatloaf. By the way a great crab cake as well as a 10 oz bone in pork chop that is really excellent. Don't pass up dessert; there are some good choices. And enjoy the complimentary cotton candy.
Always a great meal at this location! Steak is always cooked perfectly and the martini is literally always perfectly cold. Booked a holiday party with the manager Kristina and she made everything so easy and gave me a ton of options! Couldn't recommend this place any more!
My husband and I went on a Friday night. We decided to sit in the bar area for happy hour. Although someone did come by to drop waters off at the table, we waited about ten minutes before anyone came over for drink and food orders. We ordered oysters and wings, which were excellent. We also had glasses of wine, which were only $5 on the happy hr menu. Our server took forever to come check on us, but she was also manning the bar. I would suggest for a Friday night, they staff enough people to be behind the bar, and separate people to wait tables in the bar area.
It was a lot noisier than normal but given the holidays it's understandable. Our Open Table reservation was for 6:30 but the restaurant had us down for 6:00. As well as this request for review states 6:00. However, our Open Table confirmation stated 6:30 and I double check it when we arrived home. There's a glitch in the system somewhere. Nevertheless, the staff was very patient and didn't make a big deal out of it. The food was a bit too sauce centric for our liking, too sweet. But it was a fun time for all. Our waiter was prompt, patient, and helpful.
I love this restaurant. We go there often for business lunches and they are quick to serve the food and the food is excellent. Very good sized portions as well. They have a great variety of salads, health conscious meals as well as great comfort food depending upon you mood.
Reservations via Open table we're ready when we arrived. Table was waiting for us. Once seated, we were immediately served water and bread with cheese and butter. Waitress arrived shortly thereafter. Drinks came out very quickly, no long wait for alcohol either. Appetizers arrived quickly, calimari was a bit well done, but still very good. Half dozen raw oysters were fresh and very good. Two of is ordered 8oz Filet which was perfectly cooked medium rare as requested. Crab loaded baked potato was huge and very tastey. Split the crab stuffed baked potato with my wife. More than enough. Wife ordered chicken Caesar salad. Very good as well. Mom ordered crab ball appetizer. Very tastey. Cotton candy at end was a nice touch. Menu is much better since they changed it. Great service and great food.
