George Martin's Grillfire Ratings and Reviews
All I can say is wow! We were seated reluctantly, even though the restaurant wasn't packed and we had a reservation. We arrived about 20 mins. early. After being seated, we were quickly serviced for drink and appetizer orders. When the waitress returned, we ordered dinner, only to learn that 2 of the entrees our table wanted were "sold out." How? they had a limited Valentine's Day menu -- So that HELPS restaurants "prepare" and "stay ahead." Not here. We ordered things that we didn't want, as a result. After about 45 minutes, the waitress says, "Oh, your food is on the way out...Sorry for the delay. Your next drink is on our manager." 15 minutes later, they serve the 3 of us our entrees -- 2 of them are refrigerator cold. 1 of the cold ones (PORK) was rare and pink inside. When we told the waitress, she sent the manager over who said he would them over, BUT "we serve our pork pink." YUCK. I ended up just ordering crabcakes, which were just okay. Insanely disappointing experience for our Girl's Valentine's Day out. It's one thing that our men were out of the country on business (2 of our guys), but to get there on Love Day, and have such a horrible experience -- Terrible. Go somewhere else...Save the frustration.
Had dinner on Valentine's Day. Spiked Lemonade was a great starter drink. Sangria was delightful 2nd runner-up. Highly recommend the Short Rib entree. Although it came delivered to my table luke warm on a hot to touch plate, it was very flavorful. My companion had the Mahi Mahi, and it was bland, so it was sent back for a short rib. Jess, our waitress was wonderful! Tried to use my Open Table gift card but the manager denied it, so that frustrated me, but I didn't make a big deal of it. Overall, would go back again but be alittle more stern as a patron but couldn't this go round because we were in a rush to get to a movie.
Great Happy Hour and lounge/bar scene! They have great food - not just the greasy appetizers that most bars have for happy hour but wonderful apps at great prices. The slider of the day is a real treat as well! In addition you can always order from the menu to supplement with a salad or other appetizers. If you aren't in the mood for the great craft beers or house wines / bar drinks, the handcrafted cocktails here are really special. The bar staff are friendly and efficient. Love this restaurant for dinner but will also now meet friends for Happy Hour too!
We love this restaurant. It is well managed, thanks to the leadership of Matt and Kristina. They set the bar high for all the staff. Food is consistently excellent. The service is always attentive. There are always specials, and we never tire of coming here. Our latest discovery are the custom cocktails. I loved the Maui MaiTai and the Sangria-the best I ever had ! I often order Sangria so this is a big compliment. In addition if you are beer lover, which my husband is, they have a great selection of craft beers. A shout out to Luke, the manager on duty, who always makes everyone feel welcomed and makes sure things are running smoothly. The food, service, drinks, and atmosphere are all five stars !
This was our first visit to Grillfire and we were impressed! The hostess was very cordial, pleasant and professional. Our server was very natural and confident. The food was outstanding. We will most definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be back!
I had a reservation for 4 and when seated we walked past several empty tables only to be sat in the back near a large family gathering of at least 30 people. It was fine at first but the large party got very loud and we could not hear each other. What bothers me the most is that we walked past several open booths, but they sat us near this large party. Our server was helping out with the large party and we couldn't find her several times.
I was pleased with the service. Our server was attentive and friendly. The Caesar salad was delicious. However, we barely were finished our salads when the entrees arrived. We ordered the center-cut filets with mashed potatoes, the biggest disappointment was that our steaks were undercooked. At $33 a person, I expected better quality.
Friday night seems to be a very busy night. I was glad I made reservations, because after we arrived the restaurant filled up quickly. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for a date night. The restaurant was a chilly, a bit loud and we were out in less than an hour.
A relaxing evening out with friends at Grillfire. We enjoyed Delicious food — the grilled salmon, Cajun spiced and Thai cihili glazed, was outstanding as was the shrimp and lobster fettuccine. Our waitress, Sue, was great about ensuring the special dietary needs of one diner were met. We spent almost 3 hours catching up and never were rushed or felt hurried. The only hiccup we experienced was a request for bread minus the standard cheese and butter — the bread didn’t arrive until almost the end of our meal.
My close friends from college had dinner on New Year's Eve. Our servers were great (very attentive and pleasant) and the drinks were even greater. We shared a few appetizers - brussels sprouts (which got mixed reviews from the group) shrimp (which was the fan favorite of the evening) and oysters (which were good but average). Five of us ordered the T-bone steak and NOBODY liked them. The steak was tasteless and tough - like eating leather. Two of us sent our steaks back in exchange for pork chops - which were amazing! The salmon also got a good review. It was disappointing not to have a good steak - especially for the price but, overall, dinner was yummy and our dining experience was memorable. I would go back for the pork chops and cocktails. The place is pretty and upscale, yet not fussy.
Very nice place for a group gathering. Some of the food presentations were very unique (i.e. the miniature crab balls were served in a vintage style crab meat can). The cocktail menu is just right as well and cotton candy ending was sooo cute. Overall my family enjoyed this location and will definitely be visiting again.
