About
four of us had the meat loaf, three out of 4 liked it very much, the forth didn't care for it at all...
This restaurant is becoming too much of a bar and less of a restaurant. The evening we were there there was a birthday party in the bar area but they were so loud and once the band started our dinner went south. Also, bathrooms were filthy
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere but did not enjoy wading through the large group partying right inside the front door—while there was significant open space available all along the bar.
Had a lot of catching up to do with friends I hadn't seen in years - there was no pressure from staff to get us out of there. The food, ambiance, and service were wonderful!!! We've made plans to meet there again next month!
Nice for an evening out!
We had a wonderful celebration for my mom's 85th birthday. Food, service and ambiance was outstanding!!!
Went here for brunch. The food was decent but definitely less than expected for the high price. Our server was pretty good, though the other guy who helped out wasn’t the best. There was a moment where food, dishes, and a teabag went flying. Which he then left on the floor under the table. He left it for the young lady to discover and collect. Overall a nice place but overpriced for the amount and quality of food in my opinion.
I have been to this establishment three times now with my wife. The food is always excellent, the service is quick, drinks are great, and the value is exceptional; especially for the area.
Easy feel. Server very accommodating. Food good , nicely crafted cocktails.
A great place for lunch. I need to go back for dinner. The food and the staff were great. Free parking was a great perk!
The ambiance was very nice but we were not impressed with the food. We got the tuna but it came with noodles and they were covered in sauce and too spicy.
Had to send back out burger it was over cooked. Fries were undercooked slightly Frozen in the nissle
Fun time with my two kids prior to the theater.
Food was good and service was good as well. Mac and Cheese is highly recommended. As well the 12 yr Flight!!
Food quality and presentation was below mediocre. Diner food is far superior. Food was lukewarm, poorly seasoned. Steak was tough and not cooked as requested. Bison burger was tiny and dry and the apple chips did not work. Waitress was pleasant but spread thin and not attentive enough. Best part may have been the free biscuits and flavored butter. But at this price point - that does not make sense. Fail. Not coming back here.
Food was great. We enjoyed a lunch meal where we easily could carry on a conversation.
Mediocre in every way
Food was ok. Maple chili wings as an appetizer were wonderful. The turkey noodle soup was enjoyed. The waiter disappeared for longish intervals but was very nice when around. The salmon entree arrived overcooked. The goffle Farms chicken was extremely good. A side order of mashed potatoes was delicious.
Loved the live music by Joe Izen.
Food was great but service was a little slow. Good price point!
This was our second visit to George and Martha's and it was even better than the first. The turkey noodle soup was outstanding. There could have been more shrimp on our po' boy sandwiches (maybe use popcorn shrimp instead of jumbo shrimp?) and the portion of corn bread was plenty large enough for the two of us to still bring some home. The decor seemed much nicer than we remember - maybe there has been a recent renovation? We plan to return!
We had a waitress whose name was Krystal, I think. Anyway, she was right on top of things and ensured that we had a wonderful dining experience. I did mention this to the manager before leaving as I believe people need more positive comments than negative ones!! If your in Morristown, you will not be disappointed by catching a meal here!!!!! Try the corn bread.
Our server, Matt, was outstanding! The food was very good, as was the ambiance,
Delicious food and friendly staff. Highly recommend the cornbread appetizer!
The food was good but the staff were rushing us out even before we arrived.
It was our anniversary! I mentioned it when making the reservation, and all of the staff and servers were congratulating us, we even got a complimentary dessert! It was a great evening! Would recommend the restaurant highly! Thanks for a great evening!
Stopped in for a travel meal with a partner during a trip. We had the calamari which was ok. The biscuits with the maple butter was the best part of the meal. I ordered the duck breast which was one of the specials for the night and it was the worst meal EVER, I could not even get through a quarter of the meal, the duck was overcooked the cherry sauce was tart and every other part of that dish was just awful. The manager comped that dish as I could not even hold back how horrible it was. But the biscuits was really good. My partner had the Salmon warped in dough and it was also awful but got worse as the dish cooled. I will not be returning EVER.
Was a very nice pub. Would go back but there are a lot of them around. They do offer there own parking!!!!
The absolute worst service at the bar. I waited to 20 minutes by the bar whereby the bartenders could see I was waiting to order a drink and completely ignored me the entire time. Then I had to hear them complain to each other that they were busy and annoyed that they were busy. That’s exactly what customers want to hear especially when they are waiting to order to drinks. What a great welcome to your restaurant. Also, when we finally ordered a drink we had to wait another 10 minutes to get it. Because the initial wait was just too little apparently. How is this difficult to do with three bartenders on a Saturday night?! Then there needs to be one more additional bartender hired or wait staff added to assist during peak hours. And no one seemed to care or be embarrassed by this poor service except our waitress who understood how ridiculous this was. Then when we sat at our table to order to dinner - the wait for the drinks continued. And when 15 minutes later we got our additional drinks you could imagine how annoyed we were to find some of our drinks missing bc the bartender got it wrong. We were like here were go- another 15 minute wait. And sure enough that’s what happened. This restaurant is not run well at all because if they had better service at the bar - they would have had a huge increase in orders which bring money to the business. Will NOT return back to this place.
This place used to be good. The service was terrible. I was brought the wrong drink after waiting over 20 min and then had to wait another 20 min for the right one. Waitress was shrill and unprofessional. The staff was trying to fold a table behind us making loud obnoxious bangs. The lights were bright. The food was mediocre. The chicken was dry and the potato was a croquet likely from Costco. I don’t usually give bad reviews to restaurants. Overall I would not recommend this place.
First timer here, meeting a colleague for dinner. Was very happy with the choice. Being just a bit off of the green gave us enough space to talk. The dinner started with a nice biscuit. We shared a great flatbread with mushroom. Delicious. We stuck to hand-helds, a bison burger and an open-faced steak sandwich. While the burger was a bit overdone (but tasty), the steak sandwich was delicious. Both of us said that we’d be back.
Rainy but beautiful morning. Great staff, very attentive
Easter with a group of 14
My girlfriend has been here a few times before and liked it so we went this past Saturday night. I like the Decour and the ambience and the restaurant is very clean the hostesses that greeted us were very friendly and accommodating. I’m not quite sure if they were understaffed or if our waiter was just lackadaisical, but he did not tell us about the specials we later heard a very attentive waitress telling the table next to us the specials and I would’ve much rather had one of those entrées than what I chose from their limited vegetarian menu. The food quality was good the wine selection was also good but our food took a long time to come out in between courses and our waiter also forgot to bring out the sweet bread that comes when you sit down or thereabouts we had to ask for that as well. I will see that there was management presence and I know the two different shift managers were trying to accommodate because there was a table next to us that was also underserved but not sure if we will be back anytime soon.
Our meals and service were outstanding. We've been to George and Martha's a few times in the past 2 years and have enjoyed watching meal.
The food was great and the service was quick and friendly especially for the large group we were in.
We were a family party of 9 and we all enjoyed the brunch options. Every dish was cooked perfectly and Darwin was a great server.
Great place for dinner and drinks, cool ambience and not so overly crowded bars how the rest are in Morristown. This is my preferred place for drinks and happy hour is good too! More mature crowd!
This was a great experience. We were in a hurry and ordered quickly, our server was right on time with everything! We had a bit of everything, from salad, fish, appetizers, dessert, and drinks. I loved the El Diablo in a Red Dress drink. I will be back and would love to try their lunch.
My mom and I may come back once I told her about the maple glaze that I had on my pancakes
We had my husband's 50th birthday party at George and Martha's. That was after we had had dinner there several times and we're always happy with the food service ambience. We would recommend this restaurant for a first date, a special occasion, or just a dinner out with the family. We love this restaurant! The food is unique and always delicious. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. And the ambiance is lovely.
