Beautiful views . I found the food disappointing for the $$$. I didn’t like the paella that the waiter recommended. The best bite was my Kale Salad. Service was good but nothing was amazing.
Food was very very average
Food was wonderful it is pricey but you are also paying for a wonderful location and ambience. Service could have been better from the waiters (the busboys and valet workers were lovely) but it may have been due to the fact that we were there near closing.
The ambiance is beautiful in the evening definite date night spot.
Coconut shrimp was okay not worth the price because there was no coconut flavor and lacked flavor. Tasted more like like fried shrimp.
Watermelon salad was pretty good could use a little more watermelon and wasn’t quite as ripe as I was expecting for summer
Mushroom soup was excellent
Salmon and scallop is entree were excellent along with the sides paired with them
Chocolate hazelnut crunch bars taste as if a fancy deep chocolate Kit Kat. I recommend them.
The scallops come on a cauliflower risotto bed with peas and it’s the perfect light and easy Oceanside dinner. Service is spectacular, food comes out extremely fast!
The front desk staff are rude and unhelpful with bad attitudes.

Drinks were made poorly. I ordered a Scotch on the rock and was given a much-diluted glass of Scotch; felt like I was drinking water. I ordered another Manhattan and that was made really strong.
The service was okay. The server didn't introduce us through the menu or spend any time to run through different options. The table next to us was treated very well and the menu was covered by their waiter. Maybe our waiter was busy? Not much of an excuse regardless.
I’ve been to Geoffreys a few times now, over the years and every single time I’ve been so very impressed. I was a little worried, being my first time to a restaurant in 7 months since COVID-19 but they did everything by the book. Tables distanced, serve staff wore masks and face shields, etc. The food and service were impeccable as usual. Thank you Geoffrey’s for always being consistent with your excellence!
Like a mini vacation during tough times. Felt extremely safe and everything was clean and sanitized often.

If you like fine dinning this place is perfect. The atmosphere is beautiful, the food is amazing . Over all a great place to take a loved on or go on a date .
Cocktails are excellent. Filet was Good not great. Sides and sea bass flavorless. Appetizers were just ok. You are paying for the view which is fine. Don’t expect a gourmet meal, just expect the looks of one. Don’t recommend going at night. Service is excellent and inviting. No pretentiousness.

Bday dinner/girls trip - flew in from Az for 5 days In Malibu! Beautiful place! We couldn’t stop discovering each area! The details were amazing! Key Lime Martini was delish! Scallops were fantastic! Will highly recommend to anyone wanting an awesome dining experience in Malibu!

we will definitely go back. we are a part of the slow food fine dining movement . just seeing the very impressive "what kind of car is that? as we approached was fun! we have a 2020 BMW and that was the cheapest plainest car around. :)

I called the restaurant and ask what they usually do for a bday. I was told if we order desert they will put candle on it. I especially ask if they can do that since it’s my BF bday. Unfortunately when we get our desert no candle on it. I was really disappointed about it.

Ambience and the view is the main reason to come here and the staff is really great. Food is good, I miss their Ceviche from past menus but the tuna tartare is fine. The baked Brie is fantastic! The spicy mango cocktail is unabashedly great. The only thing that could be improved for me is the coffee which could be better but that’s nitpicking ...

Great ambiance, good friendly service, lovely ocean view, but the food is a little inconsistent. Most dishes very good, but the occasional clunker. Very good: mussels appetizer, coconut shrimp appetizer, butterscotch pot de crème dessert. Clunker: crab cake benedict. The problem was, the crab cake itself did not taste fresh. It tasted like canned crab. I cook, so I know: that was canned crab for sure. I’d been looking forward to that dish for days, and it was my main dish, so it was naturally quite disappointing. Still, the other stuff was good, so I wouldn’t say stay away. Just stay away from the crab cake benedict.
We arrived about 10 minutes early and were seated immediately. The restaurant and view itself is beautiful and I appreciated the decor. We ordered a bottle of wine, the tuna tar tar, crab cakes, mushroom soup, Chilean Sea Bass, and the Sea Scallops. The crab cakes and scallops were both disappointing, I had asked for lemon which never came and my scallops were not cooked all of the way through.
Our server, Ricky, never introduced himself to us. I only found out his name because I overheard him say it to the table next to us. He was not accommodating and was awkward. He did not offer recommendations even when asked, making it seem like it wasn’t a normal question. He also said something that ruined our night and offended both of us. I also found it odd that he nor the restaurant in any way made the evening special regarding the graduation, let alone bringing it up only to offend us. Why make note of the special occasion at all when making the reservation in this case?
Lastly, we paid for the valet and left only to be treated poorly by him as well. Upon leaving, only one person was working the valet area. He was busy helping another customer so we waited. As we gave him our ticket and tip, he didn’t drive our car up or open our doors. We didn’t get greeted in any way other than to take our ticket and tip, right after someone else pulled up and got out of the car and he rushed to help them. We had to help ourselves to the car and leave confused not knowing if he was coming back, which he didn’t.
Overall I spent about $350 for a special occasion for my boyfriend and I, only to leave disappointed. I also emailed about my experience directly to the restaurant so they can maybe improve their service for future guests but have not received a response.
This is a great place for a special occasion. My last visit was for my 30th wedding anniversary. The ocean view will blow you away.
Returned after 25 years and still as good as ever. Forgot just how good it was and just like 25 years before dolphins swam by and graced us with their presence. Delicious food, fantastic service and amazing location. We’ll be seeing you soon. Thank you!
I felt very comfortable there in view of COVID. The customers were seated at least 6 feet apart and. Ring out side helped my co fort level. The waiter was amazing and well protected. The car attendants sanitized their hands before bringing us our car. It was a great lunch for my birthday.
