    Ok, so the waitress we had was super kind, but the overall place always has issues when we go. This time we had made reservations for sit down and not the hibachi table because we just didn’t have the time for it. After waiting forever to sit (mind you, they were empty) they said we had to do the table if we wanted hibachi food. I guess the manager ok’d it after our waitress asked. This was already 30 mins into our time. Then they had no pop machine functioning. Once we got our food it was great, which is a shame because the experience always puts a damper on the food- which is good.

    It was a Sunday night and was dead inside , the waitress seemed like she was annoyed we were there and there were so many open tables I couldent believe it, I’ve been to a lot of habachi places, bennihanna, Sapporo, ichiban and this was at the bottom of the list, We went there because we had a gift card (remember this for later) The bathrooms were nasty. Needs a good deep clean They were out of ginger dressing for the salad. So they only offered ranch and Italian. ( that really fits the theme of the night ) The chef was good and friendly but the quality of the seafood was less than we were expecting for the price, there was a lot of staff for how slow they were. The amount of food was good and on par with Luther hibachi places. When it was time to pay we used our credit card and the gift card, they had no way to check to see who’s much was on the gift card so they had to ask us, good thing we knew how much was on it and we’re honest or we could have got the meal really cheap. I don’t think I would go back again.

    Staff was very nice, and the wine we had was good! Manager needs to have a good look at the facility, it needs some touch up, move the dish carts out of view, and the restrooms need a good cleaning, they are marginal. The Show was bare minimum relative to other habachi meals we have enjoyed in the past. Food did not come close to the flavor a good habachi meal has.

    We went in the evening. No ambiance, all lights were on and bright. I had been in the past and it had cool vibes in the evening, dim lighting, music, etc. this just felt very lazy.

    I love this place as a muslim because almost everything is Halal. Any special occasion or any family that visits from out of town, this is where we take them. Its got quality food, the chefs are awesome, great personality staff. If this place was located in Dearborn they would easily do double or triple the business they have now. Its a great place. We love Thomas!

    Horrible service, only two servers. Took forever for food. Long wait time for bill. Order was wrong. Took 30 min for the order to be corrected but still was essentially not corrected. Food was nasty. 0/10 would not recommend.

    I reserved for my husband birthday took our kids with us on a Thursday place was not busy at all. But from last time experience to this time was really bad! I booked the teppanyaki table last time our chef was more engaged joking talking showing tricks this time around horrible felt like here’s your food eat and leave!

    My sons and I celebrated the New year by dining at their favorite place. The service was attentive. We never saw our glasses empty. My filet mignon was prepared nicely medium rare with garlic butter and soy sauce. All food was delicious as usual!!

    Very nice restaurant as far as looks. The food was just OK, moat of the meal was rice and a little bit of veggies and some meat. The rice literally took over the entire plate. We were there yesterday and everything that we wore still smells like the food and not in a good way. They need better ventilation to avoid this. The staff was nice enough but we waited at the front for a while without being helped and then it seemed liked forever for them to bring us our bill and bags for our to go containers. They just need more staff I think. Overall I'd probably go somewhere else for this type of meal.

    The servers need to know the difference in the dishes when customers ask as some food was not accurate when ordered. The chef was nice and the food was just okay but I hope that it improves.

    Honestly so upsetting. I set a reservation with my friends for 7:30, there were 6 of us. It was my birthday dinner and we’d already been to 1 other place trying to eat. We got to the door and were told we had to leave because the restaurant was at capacity. The woman said 200 people were in line in front of us and my reservation was invalid. This is ridiculous, this restaurant has been here for ages and should know how to manage their restaurant. Never getting my business again. Funny joke.

    We arrived at our designated time to be told they were over booked and could no longer accommodate reservations. The tables looked half empty. This has now happens to us twice. Very disappointing.

    The outside of the building was awful, several weeds and a broken tv outside. This place looked a banded from the outside. The sushi was bland and needed more flavor. The steak was over cooked, asked for medium it was well done. Not impressed with this place, Sagano’s is way better.

    Really horrible service and 20% gratuity automatically added regardless of party size is ridiculous. It took an hour and 15 minutes for me to get a glass of water and no one at our table received any water refills. Food was just ok. Shrimp weren’t deveined.

    Atrocious service, waited 45 minutes for drinks with no end in sight. Should have taken the advice of another diner who warned us he had been waiting 90 minutes for hibachi. Cashed out early and found another dinner spot. Strongly do not recommend.

    We went here a few years ago and it was fantastic. However, something must have changed because this place has gone really downhill. The parking lot was a mess walking in and the place was empty. It took us forever to get our food and at the end our waitress ignored us when we tried to pay the bill.

    90 min. Before the food arrived and that’s with a reservation. 6 tables left around us. The chef was good, but they only do the onion volcano. No egg roll, no tossing food, no squirting, no fire. Took us over 2 hours. Ridiculous.

    We were sat for 46 minutes before we were acknowledged! Thankfully, we had drinks from the bar. We went through 3 different servers (I don’t know why) before Howard finally waited on us. We finally got a chef 58 minutes after our reservation time. I don’t think was anyone’s fault, necessarily, but I don’t know what was happening with the staff that were on shift. The hibachi side was not busy…there was only one other table sat for the majority of our 2+ hours at the restaurant. When we were acknowledged, the host/chef/wait staff were nice enough, but overall, it was not an enjoyable dinner. I don’t think I’ll be back.

    We sat there for an entire hour with no service. Our reservation was at 7. We say at our table around 7:10 No service until 8:15 We have to be at our homecoming dance before 9. This was not a good experience at all.

    The host initially advised that because of a large party who wasn't all there yet, it would be approximately 90 minutes before our seating. That manager came in and took over and was able to get us seated with in a few minutes. The chef was no showy at all. He barely even engaged with our table (which was full had 10 people) at it. We had to keep asking for the server and getting refills. We didn't get our sushi until almost 3/4 of the way of dinner being done.

    I have been to genii a few times over the years, but last Friday was the experience from hell! Our cook was awesome….let me start there….everything else was horrible . We were sat about 30 min after our reservation time, the hibachi table we were sat at was filthy. In had to ask someone to clean it after I stared at it for 20 min. Our server was clueless. Took all day to ask if we needed refills. And even longer to actually bring them. I wish I could give zero stars instead of 1. It was my girlfriends first time and she made it clear that it would be her last as well. Do better!

    This was my first & last visit. I stood at the front door for 15 mins before I seen a hostess who told the line that if you don’t have a reservation you will not be seated. So that cleared out a family of 4 who had been waiting for 20 mins. She sat 7 at a table which made the 4 of us next. The hostess said we have only 3 waitresses which included the manager, bartender & herself so please be patient. The group 5 that was seated ahead of us left which put us at the table with 2. The 2 left our table which left us 4. Our waitress was nice but her pants were a little to small because she had to be asked to pull her pants up because her plumber crack was showing. The Pepsi was flat, the soup was colder than the salad. The cook was nice & entertaining. The food was so so. The bathroom was disgusting. My worst birthday dinner EVER!

    Long wait, even with a reservation. A 5:30 reservation, did not get that basic ginger dressed salad until 7:00. Service was extremely slow all evening. The exterior looks so bad, it looks like the establishment is not open for business. The food was average.

    Food and chefs were excellent. The appearance of the restaurant could use some fresh up and paint. The side of the exterior building is overgrown with weeds. But, the food and entertainment was great!
