Fantastic! Near French level service! Delicious local foods.
Best steak ever...melted in my mouth! The sauce for the grilled shrimp was simply amazing!
Was looking for something a bit quieter and more romantic.
Sunday brunch was incredible. So many options to choose from, all of it delicious. Bottomless mimosas alone are worth every penny!! Wait staff very attentive.
The food was excellent, as was the service. As for ambience - not what you'd call intimate. The lighting is bright, and no attempt is made at making the tables private, as they are all out in the open in one big room. If that doesn't bother you, you should love this place.
Went there 2 nights. Disappointed in new menu. Limited menu. Many people agreed . Service was good. Had salmon both nights. Wish there was another fish alternative like the sea bass you used to have.
Lovely ambiance. Cozy booths and tables averlooking the golf course and pond. Excellent service (our server, Darlene was great)
We had the crabcakes, and while they were all crabmeat, they were over-fried and too brown and very crunchy.
My steak wasn't as tender and I would have liked for the price, and my lobster was under done. Both steak and lobster were over priced for what I had.
The food was pretty mediocre. For example, the rolls at the “sushi bar” consisted of the sushi you would pull off a tray from a grocery store like Jewel or Trader Joe’s. I was not overly impressed by the value for the money ($34/adult for the buffet) unless you are looking to load up on a ton of food. I’d have been better off ordering breakfast off of a regular menu. That said, service was decent and the ambiance was generally pleasant.
Went to meet friends for brunch. The s ervcie was fantastic! The food was very good. Lots of choices.
We were celebrating a girls weekend birthday and it was the perfect kick off to our spa weekend. Ate more than I should have enjoyed every moment.
Everything was great. Food, service. Gave us a Rose too!
The brunch here is fabulous so we were really looking forward to dinner. My brother in law who's birthday it was, ordered the Strip Steak. For $44 he literally was served five thin strips of steak, with a shallot and a sprig of rosemary. We told him to take all the mashed potatoes so he's still have something to eat while we finished our meals. Completely not worth the price we were charnged! I had the filet, is was just ok. I wouldn't return there for dinner - not worth the price at all. The staff was very friendly and courteous so we will go back from brunch which is a great value and great food.
Food was excellent. The service was wonderful and it was a great place to celebrate a special occasion. A very special evening.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food was dry and had minimal taste. Also a word of caution the Brussel sprouts had bacon in them but nowhere on any menu is that stated.
Additionally when we were finishing our meal and before the plates were taken away our dessert was brought out. We were also unimpressed with the service (despite the restaurant being fairly empty
The steak was very good, but many food items served were so distasteful we could not eat them (shrimp cocktail and spinach) and had to send back the French onion soup. The Mac and cheese served from the kids menu was a processed pre-packaged microwave meal for $12. Shameful to serve this to kids in a “high end” restaurant. I’ve eaten here at least 5 times before with great satisfaction, but this past experience was so disappointing that I will never eat here again.
Our reservation was for 1:00pm, we were seated right away. However, I don’t know if it was the late hour but the food selection was very minimal, and our waiter was no where to be found, we had someone else come and refill our glasses and get coffee. We were rather disappointed, we have been there in the past and were looking forward to the same service and food choices. Maybe dinner is a better option then brunch.
I was disappointed with the food this time around. Normally, this is a great place for brunch however, this visit everything was cold(including the carved Prime Rib and Turkey)! It was kind of a bummer because we were there to celebrate Valentine's. Also, the champagne tasted old and had a bad after taste. Very disappointing after having many a good meal there.
I LOVE this place, and when I'm visiting the area I always try to have a dinner out here. However, this past experience was not so great. A large 15 plus party primarily made up of loud children were seated right next to me and my guests. Not only we're the parents inattentive to their kids, but the staff at the chop house didn't speak up or ask them to please control their children. These kids we're running around in circles, playing tag, and yelling. And worst of all, they we're watching loud movies and videos on their iPhones and iPads. This absolutely should not be permitted under any circumstance at a fine dining restaurant like this. My guests and I didn't even want to stay and enjoy a coffee or desert, we couldn't wait to get out. I hope this place will step up enforcing some rules about fine dining.
The server we had was very good! Made recommendations and did not rush us - accommodated our requests.
Very disappointing - - poor service, food was cold (filet mignon) & pricey, and never delivered the raspberry soufflé. Hostess suggested we wait in bar until our table was ready, even though it was a Thursday night & not busy; then forgot about us. Waitress at bar accidentally put another customer's drink on our tab. Filet mignon was cold, so sent back (after asking another waiter to find our waitress). Came back warm, but now medium well vs. medium rare. Side dishes were now cold too (mashed potatoes & mushrooms). Risotto was ok. Ordered their "special dessert" (raspberry soufflé) recommended by waitress when we place our entrée order. Then at 9:50pm told us the soufflé didn't come out right (or did they forgot to make it?) & restaurant closed in 10 minutes. So we could order another dessert on the house - - which we did. Cannot recommend & would never go back - - much better steak houses in the area!
This always a special place for us to spend birthdays and other special occasions. This is a great restaurant with a excellent menu and wine list.
Went for Valentine’s Day....our waitress was very good. My husband’s steak was well done but he ordered medium. They brought another steak but it did not taste good and smelled bad. We were not charged for his steak and we were given 2 desserts at no charge. So they tried to make it right and the waitress tried very hard to make the experience a positive one. We will go back again and try the food again.
Very disappointed with the food. It was day before Valentine's Day so maybe they were holding back on the good food but steaks were overcooked, scallops undercooked and collard greens were pretty bad. Crab cake appetizer and carrot cake desserts were good though.
It was a wonderful brunch! Could not have been better. I had my favorite server and everything! Absolutely perfect.
Food was salty and overpriced. Service was good but they are handcuffed with the poor food quality. Salmon was loaded with salt for example.
The atmosphere is classy, yet not too formal. There is always a certain elegance to the Chophouse. The menu choices are of good variety and the preparations always delicious. The staff are attentive and professional. My server found out that I was on a solo getaway for my birthday and quietly surprised me with a cheesecake, on the house. I thought that was a nice and generous touch and an overall type of experience one would get at Grand Geneva and its restaurants. The drink and wine selections are plentiful. Overall the Geneva Chophouse is an enjoyable dining experience.
Exceptional service and attention to detail for our special occasion. The food was excellent too! Definitely worth the trip!
Best Sunday brunch EVER!!! Staff is amazing. Can't wait to come back...
This was our 2nd time for Brunch. The service was great and the food was pretty decent too.
The food and variety has gone downhill. The prime rib was very disappointing. It doesn't have the flavor that it used to have. It seemed tough and was either too done or too rare. They used to have soup and eggs benedic and now they don't have either. They need to rethink their entrees. They didn't have anything very special considering the cost. The crab legs and sushi were very good and I hope they keep serving both of them. I think I got my moneys worth eating both. Also the dim sum items were excellent. The service was outstanding and the view is fantastic.
Service was excellent-creamed spinach was disappointing-far too much shaved Parmesan cheese-couldn’t taste the spinach. The rest of the meal was fantastic, the service was great and the restaurant is very elegant.
Had a special dinner with my grown son. Such a great night. Loved food and service. Great hotel
Our meals (filets with bordelaise sauce) were excellent, the steaks were dry-aged and cooked to perfection. The service was also excellent, attentive but not intrusive. The only thing which detracted from the experience was that we were seated in the private dining room, and during our nice, quiet dining experience, a loud, obnoxious and profane family of six was seated at the table next to us. We will definitely return, but next time will opt for the main dining room, which ironically, will be more "private,"
Very poor and extremely slow service. The food was also not worth the cost. Will not be returning.
Unlike most upscale steakhouses, Geneva Chophouse makes it affordable to bring children with a kids prix fixe menu that includes a mini filet among the choices for $15 with an app, sides, and dessert. I appreciated not having to pay adult prices for my 9 and 7 year olds.
Arrived on time and was seated right away. They seated us at a 'sinatra' booth which was very nice and had placed rose pedals at the table. Nice touch. The lighting was too bright to be called a real steakhouse. My spouse enjoyed her steak and the sides were cooked properly. My complaint was with my steak. It was under done and I will not send food back for obvious reasons. The real problem though was the price. I selected the domestic wagyu rib eye. On the menu it said "2 oz min. $12." I decided on 6 oz . What the menu doesn't say is $12/oz. so I was surprised when my 6 oz steak was $72 instead of $36. Buyer beware. Overall, for the money, I'll go somewhere else.
Great service and super attentive to kids. Great menu for the kids too!
Have been coming here for years and gave 5 Stars but it's changed even from last year. Candice the server was wonderful but things/portions are, for lack of a better word, stingy.
No beautiful presentation for the butter plate (which is lacking the excitement it has had), appetizer had nice garnish but meals did not, and no comp birthday treat (presentation was incredible!)
We can purchase our own dessert but it was a lovely touch.
So we missed those niceties ...
BUT the newly added grass fed beef was phenomenal!
Overall, we will continue our patronage but REALLY appreciated those special things that made the Chophouse exceptional!
Great place, good food and outstanding wait staff, the menu had variety
