We were disappointed that we had to eat a Valentines menu when it wasn’t Valentines Day. My husband wasn’t a fan of most courses and I’m sure a lot of the cost of wine that was not drank. It would’ve been nice if the website stated that the Valentines menu was the whole weekend.

We were seated for our reservation without being told that it was a specialized Valentine’s Day menu (feb 15). As guests of the hotel we feel we should have been told this before being seated. We overhead at least 3 other couples having the same question for their server. We did not care for the majority of the 6 courses and our steaks were not cooked to order. We were looking forward to this meal for weeks so very disappointed.

Meat was overcooked and burnt. For two people they added a large group gratuity, which we would never had paid. Very disappointed.

Very noisy. For what was advertised as a romantic dinner of wine and food pairing, it didn’t reach the mark. Service was erratic. Atmosphere was too noisy and bright. The fact that we had to weave our way around children bouncing basketballs and doing gymnastics though the hotel halls didn’t help. The actual food was good, but the wines were mediocre and no explanation as to why which wines were chosen for which courses. Wouldn’t be a first or second choice to return.

Drinks, service and appetizers were great!! Wife's filet was perfect. However, my rib-eye was overcooked. I chose to eat part of the steak. They were very gracious about it and comped my steak. I would wholeheartedly recommend an evening here!!!

We were extremely disappointed in our dining experience at the Chophouse this visit. We ate the the Chophouse last year on vacation in Lake Geneva. It was excellent. The food was very good. There were many food options on the buffet, and everything we tried was good. However, this year we ate here again on vacation thinking it would be the same experience as last year. We were notified by the server that the buffet changed with different food options. We were incredibly disappointed to find hardly anything that looked good or even close to the selection offered last year. There were nontraditional breakfast items (not the traditional breakfast food we were hoping for). The majority of the food we tried wasn't good. The only two good options were the build your own omelets, and the french toast. After the disappointing breakfast buffet, we received our bill that went up in price as well from last year. It was $82 for a underwhelming disappointing breakfast. Such a rip off! The only positive experience from our visit to the Chophouse was the great service we received from the wait staff. We will never return to the Chophouse. An insanely priced breakfast, with limited buffet options, that didn't' even taste good. There are many other restaurants in Lake Geneva to go to instead of having this experience again.

Food was excellent. Salmon and chicken were a little dry. Salad bar is fantastic. I don’t know whatever happened to the spinach. Never any spinach anymore. Everything was beautiful. My server was not very nice. She acted like I was a pain. I asked her a question that she never answered. I gave her an excellent tip anyway.

Much better than last visit. Tried a different salad: beets and it was fantastic. Went to fish: scallops with risotto was outstanding. Halibut came not warm but to full to worry about it. Sides: mushrooms were to die for and creamed spinach came hot and delicious. Back on my "go to" list.

Our kudos to Chef Brian and the entire wait staff! We truly enjoyed our afternoon Sunday Brunch. Brian explained it was the new Chef's intent to take things up a notch...We were very impressed and will most certainly be back! The salad bar and all the fruits were very fresh and tasty. The desserts were simply to die for and the Prime Rib was exquisite! Did I mention we truly enjoyed it?

This was our second time at the Geneva Chophouse. Food was excellent, no complaints. I had the Lamb and my wife had a Delmonico, both were tasty and cooked to perfection. We asked for a table by the front windows which has a view of the river, these are in my opinion the best seats. We will return again.

Seated by a window table, watching the snow fall on the lighted "igloos" was a beautiful backdrop to a spectacular meal. Steak and seafood perfectly cooked and staff attended to us frequently. A must stop if staying at Grand Geneva Resort.

The tomahawk for 2 was amazing. Teala made my birthday dinner a memorable evening . Brought 3 guests with us ,who have never been to the Chop House ( even though they are local) . They are making plans to return. Chef Dominic even can out to wish me happy birthday and check on our meals. THAT'S OLD SCHOOL!

The meet carving station had only one meat; au jus was not hot. The food on the hot bar was barely lukewarm. In fact, my "poached egg on a latka" was chilled...clearly made in advance. Friendly and attentive servers with the mimosas.

I called to add 1 person to the table. I was told we would have to move the reservation back an hour and a half. We did not add the extra person only to find that the restaurant was 1/2 full for the night.

I also ordered a sea food meal. It came with a sausage on it. I told the waiter it did not say that on the menu. He took it back had it remade then verified that the menu did not state it contained sausage. We were charged for the meal. Even thought it was brought to the table 15 minutes later and everyone else at the table had been done eating.

So, we have been going to CH for 30 years but last night was a let down. Chopped salad was not “the best” and really not tasty at all. Creamed spinach was not warm enough to melt the cheese on top.

Upon arrival I was told I had to reservation. After they searched it was finally found - been given to others.

Steaks were great as always but just not the great food we had been use to! 😩

My sister & I were up at Grand Geneva for an overnight post-Christmas getaway. This was her first time up there and I knew she would love The Chophouse. The food was very good, we split the shrimp cocktail to start & our waiter very nicely offered to split the wedge salad for us so we would not be too full for dinner. We both had the filet & shared the mashed potatoes (yummy)& mushrooms (sub-par) as our sides. The pace of the service was excellent until dessert-we were full but Tod talked us into peeking at the dessert menu. Unfortunately after that he vanished for the next 15-20 minutes which then killed any desire for coffee and/or dessert, plus when he finally did return with the bill he didn’t leave me a pen & took off again. Luckily my sister had a pen with her so I could sign our (triple-digit) bill & finally get out of there. We purposely made our reservation for 6 p.m. so we could dine early & still enjoy our evening-unfortunately it was close to 8:30 by the time we left the restaurant. Much too long of a time period to spend at dinner without coffee & dessert. I was extremely dissatisfied with the service which was especially disappointing since it is now my sister’s only impression of the usually excellent Chophouse.

Of all the restaurants in the hotel, this is the only one worth the money. The food is amazing. Service is great.
