Genesee Grande - 1060 Restaurant
Continues to be a favorite. Great food, great service. Good choices for full dinner or small plates.
Our filets were wonderful. Server cast a doubtful eye when we ordered rare plus, but we said that is the way we were previously told to order them. Best filet any where
The food was excellent! Service was great! Their desserts are absolutely delicious!
Everything was great, as usual. Ryan our server was a true pleasure to talk to. It was a great lunch!
We had a fantastic, unhurried dinner, the food was amazing, the menu was interesting and our experience was made even more enjoyable by our expert server, Omar. It was a special night and I’m so glad we chose to spend it at 1060.
We always enjoy eating there. One of our favorite spots
Meal was delicious and cooked perfectly. Love the filet. Also had the New England Clam Chowder for the first time. It is the best I ever tasted. Loaded with clams, potatoes and bacon. I would go back just for the chowder. Overall it was another great experience.
Everything was great. Nice wine
List as well
I ORDERED THE "HEALTHY" ENTREE WHICH WAS HORRIBLE. WHEN I TOLD OUR WAITER THAT IT WAS AWFUL, INSTEAD OF SAYING CAN I OFFER YOU SOMETHING ELSE, HE SAYS I SEE. THE SERVICE WAS A TAD SLOW FOR HAVING ONLY 2 TABLES ALSO.
We usually get the filet and did this time. Always cooked perfectly. Has a great flavor...best filet in Syracuse. Service was good. Another great dinner!
Love it here. Great atmosphere and great service. Food is always good. Gluten free options. Vegan options. Everything is good.
This was our first time at 1060. Despite the hotel hosting a convention when we walked in, we received excellent service and the food was delicious. The menu is pretty diverse and works well for lacto-ovo vegetarians, although a vegan would be a little limited. We had two different cocktails, both were quite good, the bacon bloody mary and an orange martini. We ordered caesar salads and a harvest salad and they were both nicely prepared and not overly dressed, a mistake many restaurants make.
The entrees ordered were the tofu version of the atlantic salmon, the beet puree, rice and peas were tasty but the tofu could have been prepared with more care, it was simply seasoned with some herbs. The fish and chips were excellent with more of a tempura-like batter and the coleslaw was good with apple added. The angus burger was well received, too, and the fries on both the fish and burger were crispy and tender inside. We shared a peanut butter chocolate tart for dessert. Be warned to save room because the dessert was very rich. It had a cookie crust, topped with a creamy peanut butter filling and topped with a chocolate ganache.
We will definitely be going back to 1060 and will try breakfast and lunch there, as well.
A good spot for brunch in Syracuse. Food is very good but the service is a bit slow. We were told the kitchen was "backed up". Still, for a leisurely and tasty brunch I would recommend it.
Delicious food, interesting menu with options for everyone, attentive staff, and value appropriate for the quality. Would eat here again!
Went for dessert- had the best peanut butter chocolate cake. Loved.
Open table was great for making our reservation! Quick and easy! One of my favorite restaurants in Syracuse.
Peter was a great server! Food awesome! Don’t miss this place when in town.
Great steak dinners!! Good service and atmosphere.
Pre theater meal was just perfect. Timing was good without feeling rushed. Ample parking. We all had salads with salmon or steak added and they were prepared well without overloading with lettuce.
It was a slow night for the restaurant but the service was even slower. Food was good but not special. The place is a bit dark. I have been here before and been satisfied, however this time was just not what I expected. This is turning in a typical hotel restaurant serving just guest that have gotten stuck there. I doubt I will return here.
Took my Daughter and her Dorm Roomies to Dinner and then also had Brunch the next day with my daughter, food/service we great.
We celebrated our 45th Anniversary 3/3 . The reservations were easy to make , except the desired time slot . The site said the time slot was full but while we were there , the dining area where we sat was mostly empty.
That was the only problem . The service was exceptional as was the menu choices . Everything was cooked perfectly and coffee and deserts were terrific also !
Steak was good, scallops pasta was very good but could've been bigger or come with a side. Chicken wings were undercooked and lacked sauce and Bleu cheese was like water. The wine was wonderful. Service was poor. Overall, ok experience. Don't think I'd return.
We go here quite often. Thoroughly enjoyable
While I'm sure the entrees are worth a return trip, the small plates had our interest. The short rib was huge and delicious. Fall off the bone tender. The gnocchi had a nice crisp outside but soft and chewy inside. The spinach in the cream sauce added a nice balance to the richness. For a date night where you don't want to leave overstuffed it's the way to go. Pair it with the rioja for an easy drinking and versatile red. I think our server was named Max. Friendly and timely with check ins, even as the dining room started to fill. I bit on the pricey side, which is common for hotel restaurants, but a Groupon will help with that.
Birthday celebration with friends. Excellent food and service
Truly enjoyed our first visit to 1060 ... Food was wonderful and our server Brittany was very accommodating, answered all our questions and helped us find the perfect wine from Spain!!
We'll definitely be back!!
My fiancee and I love this restaurant! Great food. Highly recommend.
Food was very tasty. Service was excellent. Great selection of beers. Would recommend
Service and food always amazing!
We enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere of the facility. The staff was friendly, helpful and readily available when needed. They were not crowded and we were not rushed in any way. The server let us continue at our own pace and gave us time to check out the menus, eat our food and relax at the end of the evening. Would return at any time we are back in Syracuse.
Cold, undercooked food. Good service. Probably won't go back again
Best filet in Syracuse and always cooked perfectly. Peter was a great server and checked with us often. We can't wait to go back.
Anastassia our waitress made the whole experience amazing. She catered to our every whim. I was not feeling great, which she noticed and brought me tea and honey. She truly made us feel special.
The unique menu also was refreshing and we will definitely be bad
Excellent as always. The filet is the best we ever had and that is what we keep going back for.
Great food! Great service! Love everything there.
The ambience was lovely. The wait staff was great. We got our wine quickly & our food was out before we finished a glass. The food was -ok. We had an array of small plates/appetizers. We had the fish tacos, cheesy tots, Asian shrimp (which was delicious) and the flat bread pizza of th day. Aside from the shrimp, everything else was lacking much flavor. The food was very bland & in my opinion, not worth the $. If it wasn’t for the delicious bottle of wine, i would Have given this restaurant one star.
Love their filet. Always cooked perfectly. Had the soup of the day...cream of mushroom. The best I have ever had!
We sat in dining room off bar area. Area was nice, but not very intimate or well appointed. Server was less polished than expected. Initially attentive, but didn’t reappear for a long time after food served.
Entrees (salmon and tuna) were both very good. Overall good, not great dining experience.
Flew in from out of town, looked for a new restaurant to try. It was alright
