I, Ken Hiebert (ONZ Liaison Team Director), brought an individual here to have his Lumbar Spine Surgery with the ONZ spine surgeons, Dr. Thomas Bierstedt and Dr. Bernd Illerhaus in Elisabeth Hospital, Recklinghausen, Germany and now we are at the Medicos AufSchalke Rehab Center for 14 days of therapy. The patient was tired of hospital food and wanted a Steak. We googled the best steakhouse nearby and this "Ruhrkind" steakhouse came up. We said we must try it. WOW~~~!!!! What an amazing experience. It was a 12 out of 10 experience. The waiter (curly haired fella, whose name I have forgotten) spoke perfect English and was extremely helpful in all areas of what drinks to order, appetizers, and we order the tomahawk steak. Wow, 1.3 kg steak. He was truly a genuine gentleman. Truly could not have wished for anyone better than him. The food and drinks were beyond our expectation. The price was totally worth it. I, Ken Hiebert, will inform all the patients that I assist to come to Germany for surgery to come for at least one meal to the "Ruhrkind" steakhouse.
