Amazing experience. We had the rib eye steak and thyme chips with a bottle of White Malbec. The meat melted in the mouth and the skin on chips were delicately flavoured. I had never heard of White Malbec and it was delightful. Rich yet somehow light. Staff were sensitive, efficient and not obtrusive - perfect! Will be back.....
Was great food
a must in London. Great location, great drinks, food is superb and the service is exceptional.
Music much to noisy, to busy staff. Good quality food.
Food at this restaurant is very high quality, the steaks being about the best I have tasted.
Service was attentive, polite and friendly.
However reception/cloakroom service was chaotic and inefficient.
The gents toilet had no paper and someone had helpfully left a pile of hand towels in the cubicle.
Unfortunately, even with a very good food, I will never come back as there is really too much noise in the restaurant. May be it was because of Friday
I did enjoy this meal overall. Gaucho’s food is always delicious but it is also expensive and I do expect really excellent service and atmosphere to match that. I found the restaurant a bit too loud for my taste and as we were seated near the bar area it did feel a bit like we were eating in a bar. There were also a couple of mistakes with our service. This does happen sometimes but I didn’t really appreciate how my coat not being on the right hanger was dealt with. It was clearly a mistake with the numbering system and they ended up apologising but one of the hosts initially came over saying I had given the wrong number back to them. If they had not tried to blame me for the mistake and apologised from the beginning it would have been a non-issue but that approach did detract a bit from the meal.
Filet Mignon was not a filet mignon, everyone ordered the same, except mine looked like a different cut of meat, I asked manager to redo and he didn’t want to but I persisted and he brought me a “real” filet mignon Chimichurri sauce changed, it’s not made the same way as before. Our waitress was lovely 😊
Great as usual.!
Nice food but for a special occasion (as our visit was) I wouldn’t recommend.
First and second choices of wine were unavailable resulting in third choice arriving after our steaks had been served.
Tables very close together and diners next to us kept their coats on and watched TV on theirs phones throughout our meal. So close, felt like they were on our table.
Service had no finesse. More akin to a much cheaper establishment.
Food was fantastic, service was great, music was good, everything was absolutely fantastic! Would 100% come back later and recommend to a friend.
Twice I chose wine they had run out of, service was inattentive and we had a table for two so close next to us they could not get to the seat (<10” gap!) and we simply couldn’t discuss anything meaningful. Not good enough at these prices. Definitely had its day.
Starter got served raw twice. Asked for medium to well done steak, it was served rare. Won’t be going back
We were early for our reservation so we’re sent to the bar for a drink. The barman seemed a little put out at having to serve us and we didn’t feel very important. At £12 a cocktail I expected at least a smile and a warm welcome. The food itself was lovely. I was a little disappointed that with the set menu there was no option to order a side dish. We ordered the steak and sea bass, both of which came with a few chips and that was it. The option of an alternative would have been nice. Saying that it was cooked excellently!
Delicious food and excellent selections. Lovely Argentinian red wines. Do not miss!
Exceptional service 👌🏼 and they didn’t forget to add “happy birthday” as asked. Perfect date
Lovely location with a lot of picturesque buildings.
The atmosphere inside was just something different. And personally I think everything was brilliantly valued.
I think we probably contributed to a lower ambience score on behalf of other diners, with an excitable 18 month old with us. But she lived the chips! As did we. Nice lunch and great service.
Food and service great, however very disappointed that you have to pay a lot extra for a sauce and sides.
Great food and even better service
Excellent, there’s nothing to fault. Food is VG, wonderful menu for the set price lunch and we all thoroughly enjoyed oyr meal and will definitely return. Service was excellent.
Amazing Food in a great location. Very relaxed and a lovely meal to enjoy with family and friends
Very attentive staff in dark, sultry surroundings, right in the heart of the fabulous shopping of Regent Street. Food delicious even if you’re not a great red meat eater.
Hopeless service. And early evening and the place half empty. Asked to eat outside but receptionist couldnt find out if they were serving outside that evening (loads of tables all layed up). So in the end, after ten minites waiting, I asked to be shown to the reserved table. Asked for sparkling water while waiting for my colleague which literally took 15 minutes to arrive, despite five waiters/managers all arguing with one another at the till 10 feet away from me. All avoiding eye contact. Food okay but not best steak in world. It was a work thing so okay. But would not go back whether for work or personal. London is too big and too ovrwhelmed by good restaurants to bother with this one.
One of the best restaurant I have ever been to! I would definitely recommend the “Churrasco de Chorizo” and the cheesecake for dessert! Staff were really kind and helpful and food was a 10/10! Will be coming back very soon!
Great as always. Staff were very good. Even gave us a little sweet treat for wifes birthday
Fantastic service, delicious food and a really wonderful birthday night for my partner who said it was the best steak he’d ever eaten!
One word: DISAPPOINTING.
At Gaucho O2 everything is better: hospitality, service, quality of the food.
Terrible service and staff looked disinterested. 4 different waiters during the course of the meal.
Food arrived at the table at different times. My sea bass was cold.
Phoned beforehand to say it was my son's 18th birthday and could Gaucho do anything?...small cake and candle...nothing arrived. V. disappointing!
We came for my Mam’s birthday and were a party of 7. We asked for four fillet steaks- 3 medium and one well done. Three were butterflied despite specifically asking for this not to be done. Three were very well done and none were medium. We had to ask four times for a steak knife. Very poor service and food.
The plate looks empty , there is no salade or something to cheer the plate up , too much noise people talking plus music loud not a good combination .
Was excellent! I can recommend the Churrasco Filet Lomo!
excellent food but be careful of extras!! £4.50 for water? £3 for small portion of sauce? etc... Probably puts about another 50% on what you expect the bill to be.
The building is very stylishly decorated and the staff are very attentive from the moment you arrive. Food was also top class and a really enjoyable experience.
Great food, beautiful restaurant, lovely service
Awful experience. Would not go back if it was a free meal.
Gauchos is the place for a steak. Starters were adequate, but a little average. We both had ribeye and they were cooked to perfection, tender meat with just the right amount of marbling.
House rose was acceptable, and red was perfect to go with steak (Malbec).
Had chips and garlic mushrooms as sides and both were good.
The reason I gave four stars was the deserts were not really worth what was charged, and although most things appeared reasonably priced by the time you get to the bill it is easy to rack up a £100 per person bill for a lunch, which I think is a bit excessive.
All we had was a la carte as we didn't fancy the choices on the set menu. With my steak I had three pan fried gambas which cost £7.50 and went fantastic with the steak.
So overall rated four stars but could have easily been perfect five with a bit more work.
The food at Gaucho was excellent. The meat was perfectly cooked and also the sides and sauces were very delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive and we felt very well cared of. The prices are more in the upper price range, but the quality was right.
From start to finish it was brilliant, service was the best I’ve ever experienced didn’t feel rushed or excluded because we choose the set meal, there was a petite lady she was lovely! Amazing I’ll be rushing back to go there!
