Showed up for my anniversary and found out the restaurant was closed for construction. Was never informed and in fact, received a confirmation for my reservation the day before and day of. Thanks for nothing.
You're web-site and the restaurant NEVER indicated that they were closed for renovations. I didn't find out until I drove my car in front of the restaurant. It was embarrassing because I was meeting clients!
New Years Eve
The food is great but a bit pricey.
Nonetheless you will get a great meal with a comfortable ambiance.
If I had to spend $100+ per person, this place is as good as any steakhouse in the area.
This is my favorite place. Very good food and nice environment.
This was my second visit to Gaucho's Grill. My family was an hour and a half late. The staff could not have been more gracious and understanding. When they arrived including an active 2-year old in tow, my family were welcomed warmly and seated. The food, of course, is outstanding. My weakness is the beef empenada. Since Gauchos is an Argentinian steak house, I decided to try the surf and turf and savor that special beef. The lobster was also superbly cooked. My guests had the sea bass and paella. Our 2 and 7 year olds ordered from the children's menu. Creme brulee is one of my favorites and Gauchos doesn't it beautifully. The valet parking also makes a huge difference for a senior (me). Just an easy and great overall experience.
Dinner was fabulous, we had the lamb chops and stuffed pork chops both were just fabulous.
The only thing is I didn't like the Italian Cheese cake but they didn't charge me for it after I said something. I will go back again but NO CHEESE CAKE.
Good food and good overall restaurant. For a top steakhouse, it is average
Good not up to their usual
Gaucho has become my favorite White Plains restaurant. Gathered with good friends. Lost track of time. 3.5 hours of great food drinks and conversation.
Gaucho was fairly good, my husband had th duck wrap which he liked. I am not a fan of duck, i tried his appetizer and i didn’t like I️t but that can be personal preference. I ordered chicken empanadas and being a fan of empanadas, i prefer the ones we make at home more: i had the sea bass over spinach with a side a of mash potatoes and I️t was delicious. So good. My husband had the parradilla, the chursascco from it was very good also. We also ordered tostones and they were yummy. His dish was huge and brought a lot of different meats. He really enjoyed I️t. We went for his bday, and I loved how they decorated the dessert for him, we had flan and cheesecake, we enjoyed both. The decor is very pretty as well.
Great service. Fantastic food - steaks were cooked perfectly. Strong drinks at the bar. :-)
The food is always delicious. The menu has something for all. The 5 of us started off with chicken empanadas, mussels, and 3 different salads. For entrees we had Chilean sea bass (my favorite there), stuffed flounder and the Argentinan churrasco steak. We all loved what we ate. My friend was given a beautifully decorated plate of dessert for her birthday. Great evening.
We have been there few times when the old owners were there, food is good service was good but I was disappointed with my steak, I ordered the 26oz steak which had a price tag of $52.00 I got to tell you it was more like a 16oz , it also came with 4 small pieces of steak fries and chimichurri sauce on the side so I'm not sure if I will ever order that again.
Been to gaucho grill several times with friends
Very lovely dining room , attentive service food very good to excellent
Had red sangria and skirt steak
Hubby had sea bass , both very good
Arrived early at 6:30 , was not too busy , able
To talk with friend at table , by 7:30 very crowded and difficult to have conversation
A bit pricey but ove very nice night out and will come again
While the food was decent and we had great service, I think this place may be overpriced.
My husband and I invited a couple of our friends for dinner. We all loved what we had. The shrimp appetizer, salad, steaks, seafood palleya were all well made. Although they ran out of Tiramisu we ordered, they offered cheesecake as an alternative. It was good, especially with their coffee. The service was very good. The staffs were well trained. The room was a bit darker. I had trouble reading the receipt, and double tipping. But the wait staff came back to let me know that the tips already included on the receipt. I appreciated his honesty. And the restaurant offers free valet parking, that save us time walking on the street in a freezing night.
I had paella and my wife had sole and both were excellent. The staff was attentive and well organized but busy
This place was awesome! Good food, ambiance , service and of course the best part was my date ☺! Victor was our waiter and he was exceptional in his service, attention and his personality was a genuine personality. Thank you and I'll see you again!
To be honest I have been here a few times I’ve never had a bad experience here except for the last time I went which was this past Tuesday which happened to be during their Restaurant week. Big mistake ordering off the restaurant week menu you could tell the quality wasn’t there they used sub par ingredients and flavorless food. If you however ordered off the regular menu everything was fine. Moral of the story, don’t waste your money on the restaurant week menu there, go spend the regular price and get the full experience.
Food was very good, service itself was good but seemed a bit slow, even for a Saturday night. Once again, the quality of the meal was at or above expected.
The seafood paella was very bland. It would seem to me that the rice was cooked separately fro seafood. My husband’s sole was delicious. I don’t think the restaurant with the price especially the beverages. I also think that even though restaurant week only offers 3 course meal it would be in the restaurants best interest to thrown in a cup of coffee with dessert.
We live one block away. Pasted by for a year. Did not know we have a great dining gem in our neighborhood. My favorite restaurant in White Plains
Even during Restaurant week (we have been here many times throughout the years) and even with the new ownership, they still don't miss a beat . From appetizers to dessert, everthing was terrific.
The valet area needs clear signage, maybe prevent people from parking in front that are not visiting the restaurant and have the attendants be present and visible from the street, as well as being professional to the diners arriving. We were confused when driving up and met with yelling from the attendants as well as witnessing diner after diner leave their car in the street to walk into the restaurant and inquire about the valet service. I did not expect this kind of service, especially in this area. Aside from that, we had a wonderful meal and the staff was pleasant, from the hostess to the servers. The food is exceptional and I love the decor. I'm glad we found this restaurant. I have already begun to spread the word and will be visiting again for after work get-togethers, most definitely.
The food was awesome as was the ambiance.
Service was excellent.
Will be back soon.
My friend and I went for restaurant week and I had the Chicken Empanada, the Seafood Paella, and Tiramisu. The empanada and Tiramisù were good, but I was very disappointed with the Seafood Paella. It had no flavor at all and the clams were very chewy and difficult to swallow. I don't think I will be going back.
Read a few great reviews, thought I would try it. Steak was good, service was mediocre. I most likely will not return. Very loud also.
Absolutely TOO NOISy. They stuff everyone in the same room. Whereas there are other empty rooms. Steaks are excellent!
Another excellent meal at Gaucho Grill. Food and service were excellent - creative and flavorful.
The food was good. Lovely decor. The staff was the BEST. Will definitely be back
I have been to their Sunday brunches many times but I was very disappointed the last time I visited the restaurant. The brunch was cold, lack of flavors and defiantly not the gaucho grill I was used to. Either they have a new chef or the quality of the food went down
Had the Argentinian parrillada again! Love it and it did not disappoint. Plenty to eat and very tasty and tender meats. Also like the Yucca and potatoes too.
Beautiful place. Great bar and staff.
The food was amazing drinks were great the atmosphere was lovely had a wonderful time will definitely recommend can't wait to go back
First time here and I loved it! The food was great.
The food was fabulous! I had the tuna which was perfectly cooked and deliciously rare served with a spicy mango and mixed vegetable salsa. The pork chop was thinly pounded, rolled and stuffed with mushrooms, onions and cheese. Both dishes were both creative and delicious.
The service was both attentive and professional. This restaurant is a gem!
Steak was good, and the Argentinian wine was very nice.
Enjoyed the service and ambience. We felt like VIP, just enough attention to detail, wonderful presentation. 🎉
My Cowboy Steak was cooked to perfection. I love skirt steak so I'm going to try the churrasco next.
love this restaurant! Food and service are great and never noisy!!
