Gaucho Dubai Ratings and Reviews
Gaucho has the best quality meat in Town cooked to perfection. Although full our table felt exclusive & private. The greetings however, felt forced & scripted & it took at least 2 attempts before our waiter appreciated that we did not need or want his advice on the menu.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful and authentic - the black and white with chow hide trim the vast wine display seen through spotlessly clean windows and low lights. The staff were really friendly with great product knowledge and the uniforms were well co-ordinated and with similarities but with differences to the roles performed on the floor. A very polished smooth flow to the whole night.
We are big Gaucho fans. My husband regularly visits their London restaurants, so he is very familiar with the brand.
The servers were very knowledgable and made suggestions, without coming across as too pushy. They really took the time to chat with us, and although Gaucho can be described as an upscale steakhouse they were very down to earth and approachable.
The service really did make the meal. Food was excellent as always, but our waiter was topnotch. Well done Gaucho Dubai for finding exceptional talent.
Staff were very welcoming, efficient and very knowledgeable about the beef cuts. I had beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon recommended by the waiter, spiral steak marinated in garlic & parsley, thin fries and bernaise sauce. Stunning fois gras on top plus an Argentinian sweetcorn dish recommended by the chef - I was wonderful. My partner had 400g rib eye and we finished every bit. It was too good to waste! Amazing.
Gaucho definitely lived up to their reputation for having excellent food. Our waiter was excellent and able to recommend dishes from the business lunch menu and he was SO right! The food was not only beautifully presented, but also delicious! The staff was very friendly and I left feeling as very happy with my overall experience. I will definitely be back to try some of those handcrafted cocktails!
Friday Brunch at Gaucho was perfect. Fantastic food, excellent service and an all-round great atmosphere.
The brunch starters are amazing and they kept coming and coming and coming....
The service was friendly, attentive but never intrusive.
Only one main per person is definitely enough and the meat was exquisite.
Deserts were delicious too.
One of the outstanding memories was the mid-course chili tequila shot followed by prawn ceviche (I think...) - tremendous and well presented/explained to us which we liked.
Thanks for a great afternoon
We had a terrible experience at Gaucho. The waiter Nathaniel was very nice and welcoming when we arrived but as soon as it was clear we didn't want to order any of the steak he didn't come back until the end of the evening. We waited over half an hour for drinks to arrive and the food wasn't great but nobody was around to ask how things were. Nathaniel came over to bring the bill and said "sorry I haven't spent any time with you it has been so busy" yet there were two large tables in his area empty? He clearly knew he had neglected us. It was a truly terrible customer service and I've never been treated so badly in somewhere that was highly recommended. I feel it was a waste of time and money and was very upset to have been ripped off. We all left feeling very negative.
I tend to make it a point of dining in Gaucho restaurants throughout the world in that generally they project a bit of Argentina to the far reaches of the world, in that they have the asado and the wine and, sometimes the people. At Gaucho Dubai, they got it almost right. They got the nomenclature right, the food was nearly perfect in that it tasted similar to what one would savour at a high-end steak place in Buenos Aires, the wine list is a very good selection of classy Argentina wines, principally Malbec's but also single-varietal Cabernet Francs and Petit Verdots. The very good ones regrettably unaffordable. Gaucho Dubai is a good night out if you are in the mood for classically prepared Argentinian beef and if you have the deep pockets for a good Malbec. Do not however expect to encounter any classical Argentinian gauchos. The service was nevertheless excellent.
Had the Saturday Roast which was delicious, worth it alone for the Yorkshire pudding. Only gripe was that we would of preferred the food in a plate opposed to a board as was a bit messy with the gravy. Staff were all lovely and friendly. Used a entertainer voucher which made it value for money.
