⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ OpenTable Diner
Dined on March 24, 2018
Fabulous family meal. The cocktails we're exceptional. And the charcuterie platter was delicious. Our part had the fried chicken, duck, steak, and lamb. All were very well prepared and delicious. Our server was very lovely and efficient.
Happy Hour: 5-6 All Drinks Half Priced
The food was inventive and well prepared. The service was adequate; bartender was stressed and not very friendly and once we sat down the server was not aware we had been seated. Issues that are not fatal but are easily rectified with good systems and training. We were impressed with the quality of the food and our server was accommodating when we requested a slight alteration to the preparation. We would return for sure.
This was our second visit and we loved it!! We brought our 3 grandkids ages 14-10 and there were plenty of great options for everyone. We love this place.
This restaurant is a block off the Main Street and we were walking around to see what was in Jackson. This was an incredible restaurant. The decor is woodsy but not overdone. The first thing after we’re seated a waiter comes over to tell us not to miss the sunset, which was beautiful. The waitress we had gave tips on each dish and helped our selections. The wine list was great, the food delicious and the atmosphere very comfortable.
Another great meal at Gather, staff are excellent and food never disappoints.
The food is very good. Excellent cocktails and service.
Really great food and service! The Burrata was amazing as well as the pork buns. My husband had the bison which was fabulous. This is a great place to eat! You will not be disappointed.
I ordered three courses including an appetizer, salad and entree. All of the food came literally ten minutes after I ordered which was super awkward. I meant to have a leisurely three course me but instead I had a super awkward huge 1 course meal. I told the good runner and my server and nothing was done about it. They offered me boxes and gave me a coke “on the house”. The food was quite good especially the pasta and the burrata, but the poor customer service was inexcusable.
Friendly staff and good food. Th menu is unique, healthy and tasty.
First off, the server was attentive and friendly, without being over the top. Ambiance was casual and comfortable. I had the elk bolognese which was not a bolognese, but a marinara with elk meat and overpowered by some herb (?sage) - I think a bolognese with elk could have been delicious, but this was a disappointment.
We really like Gather. One of our favorites. The food is excellent. Our only complaint is that the menu is rather limited. Other than that, excellent.
The small plates were fabulous, and you must try the chocolate cake desserts served warm in mini jars!
The menu needs improvement. The description of items are not correct.
Service was great.
Once again Gathers food didn’t disappoint. Try the Brussels sprout appetizer. The red wines are not kept in a cellar - so request a bucket of ice to give it a chill before serving.
The corner round tables are good for 4-5 people but not 6 - too crowded
Overall really enjoyed our experience. Very creative menu. Suggest getting a better pastry chef.
Delicious, creative food! Everything we ate was wonderful.
Our server was amazing. He was knowledgeable and had great recommendations. The food was spectacular!
The brussels sprouts made a tasty shared dish for the table. It was hard not to take more than one's fair share. Pecorino cheese, dried cranberries & pepitas. What's not to like? That's some spicy pork chop!!
Three of the four of us ordered the pork shank - and fortunately I was sharing with my husband. Nice crust on the outside, fork tender, but beware IT IS SPICY. Perhaps a little too much. And I like spice. My elk bolognese was nothing special. It lacked flavor & excitement. I wouldn't order it again. As for dessert we shared the "peach tart;" was really 4 small pieces of dough with some tiny cut up peaches to go with it complemented by ice cream. Skip it. Underwhelming. You're better going to get an ice cream in town.
But those brussels sprouts & the pork shank will keep us coming back.
The food here was fantastic - the best I had comparing several well-reviewed restaurants in Teton Village and Jackson. Get the pork buns and go during happy hour. Delicious, creative menu!
We tried this restaurant while on vacation in Jackson. It exceeded our expectations. The staff was fabulous. We also received a recommendation as we left for lunch at the sister restaurant, Palatte, it was exceptional as well.
We ordered elk bolognese, a preparation we always enjoy with a featured meat that we were excited about. As it turned out, it was impossible to taste either the pasta or the elk. All that could be tasted was raw garlic. Understand, the dish didn’t have a little too much garlic, or twice too much garlic. It had 25 times too much garlic. That cook absolutely needs his garlic privileges cut off or his garlic usage monitored. When we were asked how he pasta was, we even told the waiter that it very heavy on the garlic. He simply agreed and walked away. It was hard to enjoy the rest of the meal after that.
The food was fantastic. The four of us ordered different items. Our guest has eaten a lot of bison from many restaurants. He said his meal was not only the best bison he’d ever had but the best meal he’d ever had. The salmon was amazing (especially the asparagus/potato purée) as was the pork shank. I had the fried chicken and pancake and it was great too but not as swoon worthy as the other 3 waiter-recommended dishes. We also had the highly recommended brussel sprouts and they were delicious. Finally two of us ordered the Huckleberry Moscow Mule and after the others tasted it, they ordered one. It was sooo good!!!
We will look forward to eating there again on our next trip. The chef made our trip that much more fantastic...thanks!
Vacation with family
Vacationed in Jackson (from Boston). Honestly, one of the best meals ever...buratta, Brussels, burger, Waldorf salad, peach tart...!
Had dinner here after a backpacking trip in the Tetons. The ambiance is casual upscale and the food was great! Everyone ordered something different and the pork shank and the bison were by far the best! The pork buns were also delicious. Definitely would come back here if I’m ever in Jackson again!
The menu has several creative options. We enjoyed the fried chicken and elk boulegnese. The ambiance was casual and comfortable. Our server was nice but was on the job so her timing on order of service was off. Overall a good value.
Vacationing in Jackson and had an excellent experience, a lot of care put into the menu--preparation/presentation was very good.
We have visited Gather on a number of occasions. It has not proven very consistent. From the size of the portions to the quality of the food. This time around we had a server who clearly just started. Everyone has a learning curve but she truly was not trained at all. She did not know what the house wines were and was not very good at following up. I was served my meal with no silverware and had to ask for it.
We will be giving gather a break for a while and hopefully things will have improved by then. We are locals and feel that unfortunatly that being in a tourest town everyone is turn over the table as fast as you can and we won't see you again.... Hope you liked it!!!!
Best meal we had in Jackson! Amazing food! There were 6 of us and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Save room for desserts b/c they are incredible. The ribeye, elk bolognese, chicken drumettes and Brussels were highlights.
Innovative and very good food. Very good table service, hostess not so much. Nice beer selection with many local brews. Short wine pours for the price. Tables very close which impedes conversation for two tops.
The Brussels sprouts are the best in Jackson...and we've tried them EVERYWHERE. Innovative menu..terrific burger. The jackfruit curry was amazing and they made it gluten free for us. Buffalo was fabulous. Want to try at least 8 other items...and reorder what we had -- can't wait to go back. Attentive wait staff. This is the best spot in Jackson.
My husband and I were visiting & enjoyed a wonderful dinner. We shared the charcuterie board appetizer- was almost a meal in itself! Beautiful presentation with a large variety of cheeses, meat, & smoked Idaho trout. My husband then had the elk & pasta while I enjoyed the pork. Loved the use of local fresh berries throughout. Excellent meal and service.
Service was ok but not great. Entre was good but salad only so-so.
Best meal we had in Jackson! Great service and food
Gather's food continues to get better and better. I'm a local and find Gather a great place to go after the movies. It's a bit pricey, but if the quality of food and service continue then I'm ok with it.
Ordered meal of lamb and vegetables. Veggies were coated in some kind of greasy oil and were inedible. The meat was tough.
Wife ordered an item and asked them to take out an ingredient but they did not.
Fab service (thanks to Wesley) and our compliments to the chef for the AMAZING food!!!! Moan out loud good down to the very last bite! I'll be sure to eat here every time I'm in the Jackson Hole area!
Our family of 4 all ordered different entrees. Cheese/peach/pecan appetizer was more like dessert, in a good way. Varied menu, but not a massive selection. Some items cooked to chef's preferences if not specific when ordering. Service was great.
Great place to dine downtown . The service was great and the food was delicious. We would recommend to anyone.
Gather served as a wonderful restaurant for us to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The food was fabulous and the service was over the top.
