The octopus was great, but the pasta with crab sauce was amazing. This is a great find in an odd area of the upper west.

The menu included a small but good choice of salads, fish, chicken, pizza and pasta. (branzino was divine!) they have a very light touch with fish and they honor the flavour of the food, without trying to cover it up. their fish/veg and fruit are of the best quality. the atmosphere is a bit rustic chic--scarred wooden tables, frayed but very clean table linens, and the neighbourhood is off the beaten track but safe. If the same food was served on the upper east side, the place would be packed every night. you may be a big surprised on entry, but that gives way quickly. It would be ideal for a romantic dinner (tables small) or rent the whole space and make a chic and cool dinner party.

Arrive early for a 7 PM reservation; no other customer. By 7:30 it was full and unpleasantly loud. The food is good, with interesting dishes not often seen on local Italian menus. Worth a visit before 7 or after 8

Most interesting menu choices, lovely presentation of food and good service. We shared four different dishes and all were delicious. Will definitely return to this neighborhood gem.

Really good food but something always goes wrong. Once we waited an hours between courses. Several times the credit card machine broke down. They almost always are out of a wine or a dish listed on the menu. The menu was written by an illiterate with words spelled wrong and no punctuation. Would be a shame to see this place disappear because the food is quite good but I know I'm not alone in giving the joint a rest until, we hope, they figure things out. Right now it's not a pleasant dining experience.

A great neighborhood spot for people who love simple, elegant, authentic Italian cooking that, that unlike my review, is expressed without a hint of pretentiousness. This is a place to go with your significant other and maybe another couple to share a bottle of wine and some genius dishes without trying to impress anybody. Nobody's photographing their food here. It's not a place you go to impress your friends. It's a place you go for you and people you love. It's small. You'll have to open up and be at ease with people right up next to you. It's for the person who loves to savor the small moments that remind you that the most important thing is to enjoy being right where you are. And that's part of what I adore about this place. When I'm there I don't want to be anywhere else.

The portions seemed small, but proved to be quite adequate. Each meal was simply prepared , but outstandingly delicious! I will definitely return......I just wish the tables were larger...we kept fearing that something would fall from the table
