My husband, son and daughter-in-law went to have dinner at around 6 on Sunday, November 26. There were no cars in parking lot and although there was a lighted sign with name Gaslamp, the door was locked. We left. I was so disappointed.
Had dinner while we watched several bands take the stage. The server was friendly and kept checking on us. We were expecting typical bar food. We were pleasantly surprised that the food we ordered was actually pretty good. The drinks were well made too. Plus, we appreciated that we weren't booted from the table and allowing us to enjoy the rest of the show from our seats.
I don't understand why I was allowed to make a reservation for Monday when the restaurant is closed on Monday. I drove there (far drive for me) and it was closed. Open Table usually does not allow a booking to be made during non-operating hours. I am extremely disappointed and irritated.
Waitress was courteous but did not see her much tables for small parties are back against the wall or windows and large parties are in front difficult to see band when large parties are all standing up in front blocking the view to stage . Should put small parties closer and let big parties stand in back .
Except for putting us in a far corner and not being able to see the band even after I told them when I made the reservation that it was our Anniversary two months before And this the third time we were given a bad table I probably won’t be going back to the gaslamp
