My favorite place in the Vail Valley, food is always delicious, great little wine list. Eat at the bar with Scottie he will tear you well
fun place to hang out after a day of skiing. it's a bit overpriced but quality of food is fine.
Quality and selection are the best in the area
Service and food was fantastic. We enjoyed the elk tidbits appetizer which was enough for 3 of us to each try a few bites. Our entree choices were the elk tenderloin, blackened trout and the pasta with salmon. Each plate had a good presentation and generous portions.
We loved our dinner!! Prompt service. Bernie was amazing and very attentive. Highly recommend the elk.
Reviews were accurate. Good food and good service.
Great service and absolutely delicious food. We even made reservations to dine later in the week!!
Very good choice of meats and seafood. The oysters were superb including the Rocky Mountain Oysters which was the reason of our visit.
Excellent selection of wild game and the food was prepared exactly as requested.
The consistency of this restaurant is what keeps me coming back
Great atmosphere, excellent service, and tasty food. The elk was delicious.
Awesome! Could not have loved it more!
this place is always wonderful!
we found it while in Edwards last year abs we drive from Breckenridge or wherever we are in the area as it’s always a highlight !!
LOVE it here… From the AMAZING food to AMAZING services!!! One of our favorites!!!
It was amazing like always great stuff delicious food a lovely evening with my wife
Dear owners of the Gashouse,
Please READ your customers’ reviews. There are numerous references to tough and overcooked meat. For the prices you charge you need better quality meat and a new chef. My own meal was no exception. The elk steak was over cooked and when I sent it back the kitchen returned the steak to me saying it was fine!! The meat was also very tough. Very very disappointing
Tom our waiter was great. Made us feel at home.
Despite COVID and hard to find staff issues that seem to plague so many restaurants these days, The Gashouse has continued to serve excellent food with excellent service. Last night our server, Matt, held submitting our entree order until we were done with our app and salads. Thank goodness he did because our entrees were ready and in front of us 7 minutes later -- hot and delicious. This is our go-to place in Vail Valley.
Was there last year and really excellent. This year all was cooked poorly and poor taste.
We absolutely loved our experience. Our server Donna was amazing and food was beyond words!!!
Gashouse continues to serve great food at good prices and despite a pandemic, service has never wavered. A locals favorite and visitors flock there. Always good to do. a reservation
Food was so-so ... Ordered the trout that was a bit overdone. Service was extremely annoying with major hard sell on $80 bottle of wine and when we didn't buy, the attention went to zero.
Great variety of menu - drinks slow to deliver, but service generally very good.
OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE!! Ask for Sean (or Shawn not sure of spelling). We enjoy the Gashouse every time we come to Vail. It was the absolute best experience. Ask for Shawn! You will be so glad you did. He recommends the best dishes/wines and shares the history of the restaurant. Also invited us to tour the back room with memorabilia of the restaurant. We enjoyed the Elk combo, quail, wagu steak, Maryland crab cakes, Buffalo steak, fabulous red wine and Pino Grigio!!! Put this on your list every time you visit anywhere around Edwards!!! Thanks, Shawn!!! You da best!!!!
Labor Day Burgers?
Why not the best in the Vail Valley ?
For our romantic end of summer celebration, our table on the patio was ideal. Great food, great service, great ambiance.
Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Great food and service! One of our favorites & the first place we dine when in the Vail Valley.
Just a great place.
Phenomenal staff. Mike was a fantastic server. Knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. Food was phenomenal. Atmosphere was just what we were looking for. Skip the smoke and mirrors of Vail Village and come to Edwards to support Gashouse.
GasHouse is an old fashioned type place. A place locals come for dinner. Dinner was just ok.
Dinner was fabulous. I was there 15 years ago and it hasn’t changed. Maybe new ideas on food. A must to try!
This restaurant being the oldest restaurant in Edwards, CO, certainly gives you a feel of dining in an old log cabin. The menu is extensive, so is the wine list. We liked the grilled quail and crab cake, but not that much the elk steak, although it was very well prepared. I'd say it's a good experience having dinner here, at least for anyone who visits the Beaver Creek area.
Wow! Delicious, unique local food and warm hospitality. Try the Buffalo carpaccio. Diverse menu!
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Every plate was overdone, but my burger was burnt so bad it was inedible. Our server was missing so I took it inside myself. I stood there with my plate asking for assistance and was met with rude indifference. They offered to remake but it was so bad I decided to go without dinner instead. My family had steaks that were overdone but edible, at least. The server blamed the kitchen, but she never should have brought that to a diner. I keep hearing of the struggle restaurants are facing opening after Covid, but for $130 ticket I expect for my food to be edible. Save yourself and eat somewhere else.
Historical place, very quaint, but not elegant. Food and service were excellent.
Wonderful waitress Claudia food was great
Waiter was very “robotic”… just did and said what he was supposed to. He put our salad, drinks ., etc. At the end of the table instead of putting them in front of us, it was weird. My husband ordered the trout, waiter recommended it blackened, I ordered the shrimp and crab cake he recommended it blackened. It was terrible. Drowning in Cajun spices, could not even taste the fish. The veggies were mushy. Patio is very bare-bones and has very uncomfortable iron chairs, very old-school. Will not go here again
Always my go to when family is visiting and want a good meal. Bernie our server was incredible! Hes a natural
Terrible service. There were wooden sticks in my salad and the server did not care, did not offer me another one, and still made us pay for it. I would have loved to get the issue resolved, but serving us in a timely manner was nobodies priority there. We waited for our check for about 35 minutes after we were completely done eating. Our food was cold when it came out and definitely not worth the price. Steaks are below average. Terrible service, will never go there again
One of my guests is an avid hunter, including in Africa, so I took them to the Gashouse to see the mounts and to enjoy the game entrees. We were not disappointed. Our service was especially good.
Great food and great service! The quail appetizer was delicious. Also the wedge salad was fresh and tasty.
