   We’ve been to GD several times and we feel that the level of service has gone down. The food is excellent but that has also gone down in quality. The Sommelier was excellent.

   we decided to celebrate our 40th anniversary with the do it yourself tasting menu. Great approach! we got to taste more fabulous dishes. We also took the wine pairing. Absolutely loved each dish from oysters to lobster to duck confit to filet each accompanied with lovely veg creations. portion were all manageable despite 4 desserts!! Highly recommend Gary Danko. Very personable wait staff who adjusted wine served based on my input. not at all stuffy as some fine dining establishments can be

   Gary Danko is our most favorite restaurant. The food and service are both exceptional, every single time! The decor and atmosphere are just lovely. It’s always our top pick for any special occasion. The staff is so considerate about accommodating my dietary needs. It’s just a perfect place to go. We LOVE Gary Danko!! ❤️

   Excellent food and service! Since we were a party of 7, we were given the private room. This was a pleasant surprise. Parking in the Ghiradelli Square garage was convenient -- only one block away. Overall, a wonderful experience.

   Scrumptious food as always , iffy on the initial beverage service (we were forgotten for 30-40 minutes I think), I was served my cocktail immediately but my partner was never offered to order his beverage, the remainder of the service was superb/impeccable and our cocktails were comp’d . We love Gary Danko and will return …

    Haven’t been back here since the early 2000s. Service is still subpar where everyone has a task and they perfect in it. Super attentive as well. I wanted the 3 course meal and my husband wanted the 5 course meal. The waiter asked if we’re sharing so we said yes. Since we were going to try each others dishes. Then proceeded to ask if it’s okay if they place my husbands dish in front of me since we’re sharing. We were like, “sure, it’s fine”. When we got the bill, we noticed instead of placing the order as a 3 and 5 course meal, he changed it to two 4 course meals, it’s $8 more by doing this. It’s not a big difference but his sales tactic was shady and shouldn’t have try to change the number of courses to accommodate his tips. So we just took the difference out of his tips.
