Back here after 8 years. Was it as magical as 8 years ago as my first Michelin experience? Maybe not, but I love the level of service from how the host took my call when I was calling in late to how they fold your napkins when you leave your seat to literally opening the bathroom door for me. Waiter was knowledgeable in the menu, had great recommendations and great positive energy. I love the simple intimate setting of the restaurant, a throwback to 90s fine dining. As for the food, my wife and I picked a variety of dishes in the 5 course menus. They all tasted great, some more so then others. You can pick and mix and match and five courses from the entire menu for the same price! You could have 5 steaks if you wanted to! Amazing value. We had the glazed oysters, golden caviar tasting, branzini, lobster, scallops, quail, beef tartare, filet mignon, French toast and chocolate souffle. Everything was tasty but we noticed there were a lot of creamy sauces in majority of the dishes so I would've liked something to cut the fat a bit. A lot of the sauces had sweetness to them so would've hoped for more variety in flavor profile. I think the least favorite would be the beef tartare. the taste wasn't that special but there was this edible alium flower we didn't know was edible so that would've added to the taste. The caviar tasting came with this buckwheat Bellini that was tasty on its own but a bit oily so I preferred not to eat it with the caviar. The lobster was perfect, the scallops were great, the filet was perfectly cooked as well. The quail legs were super tasty, the rest of the bird with the stuffing was ok, not our favorite. The French toast was a strong recommendation, and it was amazing French toast, great pick if you love French toast, it was a bit heavy for me to finish such a big meal, and the chocolate souffle was amazing.
Overall, loved it. Maybe we ended pairing too many similar sauces, but great people great food. Highly recommend.
