Was not impressed at all. Very unhappy. I heard good things about this place so I set a date with my fiance, it was so loud we couldn't hear each other 2 feet away, and the food was nothing authentic. I will not be returning
Easily the best dining experience I've had in my life. Service was professional, food was beyond stellar. What else can you ask for.
Garozzos accommodated our reservation of 10. They were on top of everything. The food was awesome and well as the ambiance! Definitely a Kansas City favorite.
My special occasion place since we live an hour away!
Wonderful family oriented Italian dining with both traditional and less common choices, all done well
Exceptional as always! One of our favorite places anywhere. It never disappoints.
Bon Appetit!! We were in Kansas City running errands two days before and had lunch at Garozz's. The plate size for lunch was big and amazing with great service and price. So we ended up back for our daughter's 17th birthday dinner. We all enjoyed ourselves. This place has a lot of history, a definite must when in KC, KS.
Food was good. Sauce was really spicy on my lasagna. Service was great but it was really loud. Hard to talk to the rest of the people at the table
Our "go to place" for special events! Always consistently GREAT!!
We usually have a family gathering for a Birthday or other event. We are closely connected to the old neighborhood and it's like home. Nonni's cooking. We were seated in the bar this time and it felt very secluded and relaxed. We will ask for that spot again. Always a wonderful experience.
Great good, great staff and a overall great experience!!
We celebrated a family members birthday, and the food was amazing as always!
This is a neighborhood restaurant, family owned for 28 years. We LOVED the food. Our server DEE has worked there 23 years. She was wonderful. The pastas, fish, and signature chicken dishes were all fabulous. If you love good Italian in a terrific, authentic, neighborhood environment, this is the place to go. Portions are huge, prices reasonable, nice wine list, lots of locals (which says it's worth finding), and helpful front of the house staff. We increased out party's size by two at the last minute and they were gracious and accommodating. We ate on Wednesday and the place was PACKED. NOW we know why--because it is a true gem in Kansas City tucked away off the beaten path. I cannot recommend it more highly! Family photos through the decades line the walls...it felt like being back in the 60s with my Italian friend's family...all having dinner and enjoying it immensely. GO THERE.
My wife and I have 10 kids and we do not get out often. This is our favorite place to go when we have some time to ourselves. My wife and I look forward each year to going to Garozzo's. We love the food, the family photos on the wall, and the wall of celebrities that have visited the restaurant. You can't beat any of the Garozzo's locations for a romantic getaway with your wife or a date. Every Garozzo's location is just as awesome! We hope to have the whole family back when they get older for one big celebration!
Love Garozzos! Try to eat there when in KC, have been going there for 10+ years! Food is always good, great service and same loud, Italian vibe!
Eggplant parmesan wonderful. My hubby loved the Frankies Chicken. Dessert was wonderful as always.
Food and service outstanding. We have been here several times and each time gets better!
Love this place!
Hidden gem. Portions were a bit smaller than what I am used to receiving at Italian restaurants, but the food itself was delicious. I had the cannelloni. Service was incredible; the server recognized that our table was a bit unsteady and went out of his way to to fix it for us. This venue made for a great night out.
Dinner was Absolutely Delicious! The staff was attentive to our every need. Planning our next visit.
As always, the food was great, the service was so so.
You took care of us and we were able to meet while we dined. Thank you.
Disappointed this time -- the waitress was friendly, but we were out of water a couple of times and had asked for additional bread, which never came. My spedini was more "done" than any other time in the past.
Food was fantastic, not too many places you can cut a good piece of steak with a spoon. Service was great, all around a wonderful evening.
Food was delicious. Loved our server. Will be back soon.
Excellent food and service as always!
Business dinner . Very good food, great service. long wait to be seated even with a reservation set many days in advance.
Nick is always amazing and the food was fabulous.
The Sicilian Garlic Dip is amazing & addicting! Loved the Cesar salad, but did not care for the raviolis. They were plain and did not have much of a flavor.
Incredible Italian food!
Crowded, loud, great service, okay food, expensive
Love the ambiance of this location!
The food is great and the atmosphere is even better. I wouldn't take any small children. Its a very intimate dining experience. Candles on top of white table cloths. Kinda pricey but definitely worth it
Great experience, wonderful atmosphere. Prices are a little steep but you get what you pay for.
Really great service and very good food. Only drawback was lack of privacy. Too crowded, but it was Valentine's Day. Everyone was friendly but it was hard to talk without getting involved in the conversation of others.
It was our first time there but we'll definitely go back.
It was very romantic, the food was delicious and the service was excellent!!!
The location is in a very dangerous part of KCMO. Once we were seated they look us outsides and up some stairs, which I thought was very odd. The waiter was rude, and quite awkward. The food was heinous. The meat on the lasagna was basically puréed, and the chicken Alfredo was the most bland dish I’ve ever tasted. Above all, the place is extremely over priced for what you receive. Just go to Olive Garden, guys.
We had Valentine lunch at Garozzo's, one of our all time favorites for almost 30 years!
We love, love the Spidini Garozzo and Chopped Salad. We live almost an hour away, and the trip is always worth it!!
I've been coming here for special occasions since I was a kid, and I'm excited to bring my kids now. The food is amazing, service always top notch, and atmosphere exciting but warm and inviting. You feel like you're in a family there and it's not unusual to find tables and diners interacting with others outside of their own. Hands down my favorite place for special occasions.
I asked for flowers and a card for our dinner plans. When i arrived i was looked at crazy for veing 30 minutes early. I was then asked my name twice to confirm my reservation and he still couldnt find it. Finally another gentelman asked my name and found it. At 3pm that day i called and spoke with a Matt about the flowers and the card and he told me he will pass it along and it wont be an issue and it was. Apparently thats not a option, which is fine if i would have known but Matt said no problem. I told the waitress and showed her my request and still nothing came of it. 25 years ago my wife and i were there for prom and i thought id take her down memory lane and i feel i failed with no flowers and a card like i did in the past.
