Garibaldi's on Presidio
Food was delicious. not much privacy, but fine. Enjoyed
Fabulous food and excellent service; will definitely recommend to others and visit again :-)
Comfortable quiet place for lunch. Service was a bit slow for such a small attendance, food was good.
The place is a favorite with the locals and Jenny behind the bar is a babe
I love Garibaldi's and have been going there for almost 20 years...I had a few palpitations after the change of ownership a few years ago as the quality and service seemed to go down, but they've turned it back around....yay !
I love the food and Pilar (our server) is a gem. She's knowledgeable, very attentive and kind.
Highly recommend !
Lovely birthday lunch.
understaffed one sever for too many feel like it is slipping
Birthday. Garibaldis is a reliable restaurant
I've always thought of Garibaldi's as reliable B+ but our recent visit disappointed me. We were a party of five celebrating a birthday, which I mentioned when making the reservation and then again when we sat down. We got no candle, no little cake, nothing. Further, we ordered several appetizers to share and when they arrived, we were given no share plates. We had to ask. Plus one of our party got the wrong entree despite his lengthy discussion with the server about what to order.
Great spot for lunch or dinner.
A favorite for sure tgat never disappoints!
I've been frequenting this restaurant for years when it was another ownership, & less pricey!
I don't come as often anymore, but I still think it's a lovely place for lunch, & Happy hour is the best!
I like that they offer smaller plates, their combinations in salads are great. Our dinner was wonderful.
The service was terrible. Poorly managed. Our requests went unheeded a couple. We were there a year ago and had a similar experience. We will not go back...and we live nearby!
If you're in the neighborhood you MUST stop by! If you're not in the neighborhood, find a reason to be there! Great unique menu, and the staff (all around) is very friendly. I felt like I was in someone's private home being served dinner. Everyone on the staff cares about you having an awesome experience. I have a special diet, and they were enthusiastic to make sure I was taken care of!
The prime rib was amazing. However the starters and the desserts were very basic. The $22 glass of cabernet was also terrible. It was pretty good overall but for a dinner at over $300 for 2 I expect way more than "just ok".
On A rainy Valentines evening Garabaldi had our table waiting followed by a most excellent price fixed meal, expertly serviced by friendly waitstaff. What more could you ask?
Love the food, service and atmosphere! A favorite for sure!
We love this a quaint restaurant in pacific heights. Food is great and it has the right ambiance. Service is excellent. Will be back again.
food not as good as it use to be and a little noisier...
Belated birthday dinner
Great food and location, a must try. Easy walking distance.
This is a lovely place for a leisurely lunch. Although tables are generally close to each other, it was not crowded at lunch earlier this week, so it was easy to carry on a conversation. Our server was friendly and professional. We enjoyed sharing a delicious Garibaldi burger (with avocado that brought it to exceptional!) as well as the Garibaldi salad with blue cheese, nuts and tender greens. Our drinks, hot tea and iced tea, were refilled automatically and without any extra charge, making that a gracious and appreciated part of our dining experience.
We had a great time!
Always great and consistent, in food and service. Innovative ideas and great staff! Love it.
Great lunch place
Great neighborhood spot to catch up with friends. Good service. Great classics.
It is just too noisy. Impossible to carry on a conversation. If we had not been meeting friends, I would have left. Food was OK, nothing special...carrot soup, mussels. Brussel Sprouts were overly seasoned. Panna Cotta had a distinct buttermilk-like flavor. And four persons...2 eating the “special prix fixe”...over $250 plus tip...and we brought our own wine ($25 corkage).
Always good, always consistent. Great spot for a dinner date or get together with friends.
Travis was an excellent server! We had a great time and loved the food!
Our favorite place in Presidio area. Always comfortable. Wonderful food
A neighborhood staple and always consistent food and service. I just wish they had more food options for kids. The 'go to' option for my kids is usually their burger but a bit steep at $17 which they can barely finish. A limited kids menu would go a long way.
Chicken Milanese does not disappoint but do not order the chopped salad. Old lettuce, uninteresting and bland. Poor choice on my part. Also, if you want bread and tapenade you have to ask for it.
I’ve been going here for YEARS! Back when I was single on “match” dates, to grad school graduation dinner with family, to birthday dinners, to a casual Tuesday night date with my husband, to last week...drinks and dinner in the bar with a friend. Almost any occasion! Great food, great service and a gem 💎 in the neighborhood!
Shhh...don’t tell anyone!
The steak was very very salty...
The food was below average. Service was great. We will not return.
Great staff and management--always crowded so this may be counter intuitive --the menu hasn't changed in ages---sure 1 new item or maybe 2 change---and maybe why the locals fill the place--no change---we don't come very often and would come more if more creative.
Also--price for value is questionable--we spent $160 out the door for 2---no wine. 2 cocktails. 1 small sparkling water--2 salads, 2 mains, 1 app. wow--seems high.
Every trip back to S.F. we try to get to Garibaldi's on Presidio. Food is great every time, and the ambience has a real neighborhood feel. Staff are very professional--yet friendly--especially Carlos, one of the wait staff, and Juan. You will not be disappointed!
We'ce been going to Garibaldi for 20 years. It's walking distance and has been reliably good for many years. However, my husband and I agreed this was probably our last visit. In the last few years, the menu has become smaller, the prices much higher (even compared to other similar type restaurants) and the food just not quite as good. My porkchop was just ok. Sad but we must move on. Convenience no longer going to be enough for us.
