Private Party Facilities:
Located in the heart of Savannah"s historic City Market, Garibaldi is housed in the 1871 Germanian Fire House. Built in classic Paladdian architecture, the building is a beautiful presence in the market area. In the fashion of the era, the firehouses were commonly community meeting places. Thus, the Germanian Society erected a Grand Ballroom on the second floor of the building. With sixteen foot ceilings, fourteen foot arched windows and vintage iron chandeliers, it is one of the most beautiful dining rooms in Savannah, seating 120 and complete with its own private bar. The main floor is a beautiful Victorian room with lavish gilt mirrors, original pressed tin ceiling, romantically illuminated with whimsical chandeliers. Garibaldi offers a variety of menus, and specializes in customizing menus to your specific needs. Gracious service and outstanding food is our highest goal and has helped us earn the Zagat Award of Distinction once again for 2011/12.

Garibaldi - Savannah Ratings and Reviews
we have eaten here before and it was great. Not so much the last time. The main course came out before my wife was finished with her salad! My veal chop was way under cooked and by the time it came back my wife was finished with her dinner thus I canceled the chop. Talked with the manager and we were not charged for the veal chop and he apologized for the problems . Not sure I would return .
Good food! Everyone will enjoy this restaurant. I really loved the French onion soup and ordered a fish special with grouper and risotto. Little on the loud side, but mostly because it was a Friday night and many celebrations happening in the restaurant. I will return!
Wanted to say thanks for a wonderful experience on Friday night the17th.
We were greeted well and being that we arrived early we were seating with no problem.
The first time visiting Garibaldi and it will not be the last.
The entire staff was very professional and our server Philip was five star with his service!
Please thank him again for me and I look forward to visiting again.
I put in the comments that it was our anniversary but they never acknowledged it. We were sat right next to the door which wasn't ideal and the people at the bar were really loud. The food was excellent and it looks "romantic" but the noise level makes it not so.
This place was DIVINE! We went there as an after-wedding dinner ☺️The menu was definitely on the high-end, so it’s definitely something suitable for anniversaries and special occasions. The food was delicious and very well presented and worth the price. The waitstaff was very professional and personable. The restaurant is small and cozy, very beautifully lit and just an overall amazing experience ☺️
Excellent time dining here! Seafood pasta and pear goat cheese salad were on point! My only complaint was that because there is such a small downstairs dining, the noise can be a bit more than you'd expect at such a nice establishment. But, that being said, the Pink House is much worse and in higher demand.
We were a party of 5 and this included a 4 year old girl. The atmosphere was lovely with dark paneled walls and lots of mirrors. The mirrors reflected the most beautiful warm light fixtures. Beautiful art work was most interesting too. And then we ordered the food. Bloody Mary oysters were delicious. Crab soup was excellent as well. Did I mention the fresh bread? Perfect crust and crumb ratio. They were able to make fried fish for the 4 yr old and she was most happy. The grouper, which was a special that night was perfection. I had creme brûlée for dessert and was as good as any I’ve ever tasted. We followed our waiters recommendation for the wine and were very pleased with his suggestion. We would love to dine at this restaurant again.
Our anniversary dinner was fabulous! I had the lobster cocktail and crispy duct and my husband had the french onion soup and Veal Parmesan. We have been there before and always had a wonderful meal. I have also arranged for large parties in the beautiful room upstairs hosting folks from all over the country. Everyone had a very nice time and told me that plan to return. All in all, a wonderful evening.
My steak was very under seasoned, need salt and pepper. I ordered med rare, this was def rare.
My husband ordered seafood and pasta and it too, was terribly under seasoned. After adding parm chesse and salt and pepper was better. Would not return. Too expensive for just OK food.
Great Evening. The service could not have been any better. We were upstairs which was nice and quiet. Looking forward to dining downstairs next time as the atmosphere was quite elegant. Had a drink at the bar with Charlie who was very personable and helpful regarding the menu options. This was to celebrate my step son's completion of the Savannah Marathon. He also has a special diet which the chef was flexible to assist with.
