   We celebrated the birthday of my friend, and everything was perfect! The food was great, the atmosphere was great and we loved everything about it. The service was impeccable!

   The garlic fries were off the chart with the homemade ketchup and their aioli. Both of our entrees, the chicken pasta and the short rib, we're wonderful. The margarita Martini, not so fab. And the bar staff, not fab either. Waitress Zoey was lovely.

   The hostess stand had nobody there so I mistakenly went to the front desk for the hotel instead and they checked for my reservation but they couldn’t help with getting me a table; which I had reserved. When the hostess finally came along with a Front of house manager, I was told that we were too early for our reservation and to come back when we were there maybe ten minutes early for an 8 o’clock reservation. I could see that there were plenty of seats and tables available. We were already frustrated so we decide to sit at the bar instead. The bartender was the only person who was helping customers and there was a backup in the kitchen. It took 20 minutes to get our salad course and we didn’t have our mains until 8:45pm. My braised short rib came out cold and unseasoned, but I was so hungry that I could not send it back. I’ll probably never come back!

   Our best meal yet in the area after a 30 day stay. Everything was fresh, especially the herbs and vegetables from the garden. Service was excellent. We are looking forward to returning.

   This is our second time eating here and I still can’t decide what my favorite thing is. Everything is SO good! Service is fast and friendly. Highly recommend dining on the patio and enjoying the fresh air.

    Lots of tasty and healthy options to choose from. Outstanding service at all meals (I had breakfast, lunch and dinner there). I dined alone and was made to feel very comfortable. Nice wine selection.

    We enjoyed our breakfast. I had the egg white omelet with asparagus, peppers and onions. Husband had the basic breakfast with eggs, sausage and hash browns. Everything was tasty, however my husband's eggs were extremely undercooked and everything was pretty greasy. It was a bit spendy as well. We sat outside, the ambience was very nice, and the service was good.

    The service was absolutely terrible and they weren’t even busy at all. Our server messed up our orders, forgot to bring us things we had asked for, our water glasses were empty multiple times and had to keep asking for refills and coffee refills. One of the worst experiences possible. No sense of urgency. No apologies when mistakes were made on their part. The short rib was very tough and over cooked. And i also asked for no mushrooms on the short rib dish, she acknowledged it, and then brought out the dish with mushrooms mixed into the risotto, not telling me they were mixed in. Very disappointed with the whole experience. Was supposed to be a ‘special occasion’ when i reserved our table, as we were celebrating having a new baby and nothing was special about it. Definitely never coming back and could not believe how the whole experience was, as all 3 of us dining have worked in the industry for so long and know how it should have been.

    We hadn't been to this restaurant in several years but were disappointed in the ambiance and the food quality. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants to visit when we were in Avila but no more. My salad was made of brown lettuce that was also dirty. We were seated in the bar area as opposed to the dining room. When we asked what had happened to the dining room we were told they still used it. We were not asked if we preferred to eat in there when we arrived. We figured they must have a different chef than in years past.

    Beautiful cozy restaurant with outstanding service, top-notch bartending, and excellent gourmet style cuisine. We had the ribeye steak and southern-fried chicken and everything was awesome. Portions were extremely generous and every bite was decadent.

    I loved eating here soo much! Waitresses were super sweet! Soo accommodating for my birthday! I asked for a nice table & ‘maybe a flower’ & they gave us the best table plus flowers AND a birthday discount AND a free dessert ❣️ food was great they never closed the kitchen & everything was perfect. Very nice & intimate setting.

    I had a rib eye, medium rare. It was huge, perfectly cooked, and tender. The chocolate mousse cake was decadent. The ladies all enjoyed their wine (Pinot Grigio) We had wonderful conversation without competing with the background noise. A lovely evening!

    Service and food were really good. The decor needs an update as my chair arm kept flaking off on my clothes and my table. Just need a refresh and everything is good.

    Overall, everything was underwhelming. Furniture was worn and food was just barely warm. This review is more about the reservation process….I asked for a lunch reservation but the only time that came up was 10:30 and 10:45. I tried making lunch reservations several times, but got the same results. Figured the place was going to be packed for lunch and didn’t want to show up and have to have a long wait, so we had breakfast there instead (though we had looked forward to lunch). Turns out, according to our waiter, the restaurant is pretty much empty during the weekdays. We were only the second party there for breakfast and he said they had no reservations for lunch. Along with the noted restaurant issues, this reservation system/outcome also put a damper on our experience.

    Everything was cooked perfectly (fish and pork) , not overcooked. The service was efficient and our server was cheerful and pleasant. All the menu items were priced well and the wine list was a value compared to most restaurants. Lovely setting in bar area as well in the main restaurant, and there is outside seating too. Great night!

    Even though for my main dish I ordered scallops risotto using quinoa instead of white rice due to gluten free food, but they served me not quinoa risotto but just steamed quinoa without any taste w/scallops. It made us so disappointed. We also preferred to order something soup, but they don’t have their menu at all.

    Had an early dinner here while staying as a guest. It was very good but I think I was expecting more. My friend had the New York steak which was very tasty. I had the scallops. I don’t think the poached egg really added anything. The ambiance was great and the service was superb.
