Quality of food and service have been declining for several years. Significantly fewer buffet options (excluding desserts) that were either cold or needing refill. Multiple servers and yet each forgot to return with drink refills. For $42 per person, we expect and paid for more. This is the first time I’ve been compelled to write a bad review.
Great service in bar area. A little on the expensive side. Music was exceptional.
Ran out of oyster’s by 11:30am
Service is always impeccable, food is thought thru, comfortable
Said was awesome!
I highly recommend the Sunday bunch. There was a great variety of very fresh food, from breakfast to salads and meats. The desserts did not disappoint either.
The Sunday Brunch is excellent. Very nice variety of foods. Service is always prompt and friendly.
They take reservations, which is nice. Atmosphere is warm, pleasant and great for Sunday morning.
Chose this for Sunday brunch for a family birthday event, to be able to accommodate a variety of different dietary habits and to allow the birthday dude a cornucopia of yum. Very enjoyable. Large, open space, a broad and diverse buffet of well-prepared (and some cooked to order) foods, attractively presented. Excellent drinks from the bar. -- There was an initial glitch with too-slow service (not getting drinks order taken after sitting with bar menu for too long), but with a low-key request to the manager, she herself stepped in and everything went perfectly from then out. Look forward to returning.
Only negative was server attitude at carving station. When asked about raw horseradish was condescending in responding horseradish cream was on the table, suggesting take it or leave. Atypical of previous experience, table waiters and omelet cook were exceptional as usual.
Just fine. Good Service, low traffic
This is well worth the 40 minute drive for brunch. Everytime, they have a wonderful selection and great chefs. There are a number of diverse menu items for all to choose from.
First time dining at The Garden Terrace and we were not disappointed. The great selection of food.
The food, service, setting and location was fantastic!!!!! Highly recommend!
Shelby was great as she was attentive and respectful in regards to our business luncheon. Thanks Shelby!
Always amazing. Never feels rushed, we could enjoy a Sunday Brunch for the girls and stay and chat as long as we wanted. Food is always fresh and plentiful.
Great food great service
Fathers’ Day, 2018
One of the best day for a very special brunch. This has been our go place for many years. Our visit today was made exceptionally enjoyable due to ‘Katrina” who served us.
Katrina made sure that our every need was taken cared of even before we asked.
“She” made this day even brighter!
Such an enjoyable brunch. 5 stars for sure!
We arrived at 11:30 and like last time the food was at best luke warm and a lot of items were empty and had to ask for them to be refilled. No plates!!!! No containers t put butter for crab were available. Had to keep asking for items to be brought out. Once again the young gentlemen working the omelet bar and refill were more interested in swatting each other with napkins. It was not an enjoyable brunch.
There was a huge variety of food to choose from. However the oysters on the half shell left a lot to be desired.....they tasted fishy. Still overall a great place for Sunday brunch .
Good food, but wish they had more non meat dishes. The service was excellent!
Great Mothers Day brunch. Nice views, great jazz trio, and the food was fantastic!
I took my family for Mother’s Day brunch. There was nothing festive about the restaurant or the buffet. Having dined at the Brown Palace and the Broadmoor for the same, I found this to be quite disappointing. The Garden Terrace looks more like a cave. It is poorly lit, featureless and dingy. The buffet is disjointed and poorly thought out. Imagine a cheese station with no bread, no crackers, no Melba toast! Cheese with cake lifters and no cheese knives. No labels for the cheese. Poor variety of cheese. I won’t be back.
The service is amazing, and food even better. You just can't d better than this brunch.
This is our third year celebrating at Garden Terrace. The brunch has remained consistently good. Service was very attentive, coffee & water were kept full and plates were cleared seamlessly. The food was kept fresh, I saw platters being exchanged for new ones any time something was running low. The choices are almost overwhelming as you just don't have enough room to try everything! Crab legs were delicious, carving station was fantastic and the omelette station had great toppings. The only complaint, I wish the desserts tasted as good as they looked. They could offer less variety and pay more attention to flavor. Highly recommended and will be back next year!
We had brunch this last Sunday, the food was luke warm at best. Seemed very unorganized at the buffet with the carver at the beef uninterested in carving the beef. We love this buffet hope it gets better.
We went to the Garden Terrace Sunday Brunch for the first time, based on reviews that were primarily positive. But, while the atmosphere and view are quite pleasant, and the service attentive, the food was indeed hit or miss. Much of the fresh seafood was rather bland, and did not taste all that fresh. The crab legs were disappointing to say the least, while the chilled shrimp were delicious. There was a large selection of items on the buffet however, and other items (other than the fresh seafood) were quite good.
Overall, not worth the price, unfortunately.
Great experience all the way around! Very attentive staff and great food with a wide selection.
Beautiful spread but service was lacking. Under trained hostesses. Staff kept refilling everyone’s water but the birthday girl’s.
Went for the Sunday brunch to celebrate an Anniversary. While a little pricey ($42/pp) it is absolutely worth it. The service is very good and the food is amazing.
We started coming to Brunch and a seafood buffet I think more than 35 years now. The hotel was Scaticon back then but the restaurant may have always been the Garden Terrace. I think it's wonderful and always covers everyone's appetites. No matter weather you prefer Beef or seafood There really is something for everyone. Someday I will save room for dessert. They always look Fabulous!
We were very lucky. It was not too busy so it was quiet. The food was very good. The service was outstanding.. quite a difference from when I went in the past. All the service folks were friendly and very efficient . It was a good value for the money and quality of most of the food.
We had some wonderful service, but Sunday Brunch was terrible. They had lots of food, but the quality was poor. The oysters were not fully cleaned and tasted terrible. The best part of the meal was the omelet I ordered which was fine and the $10.00 for bottomless mimosas. We will not be returning, because while they had plenty and they had good presentations the food overall was subpar and the expense of it was not worth the price.
I will not go again. Service was good but food was less than average.
The brunch buffet was absolutely fantastic with a wide array of dishes. The jazz trio was an extra treat!!
Very nice, good selection for breakfast foods
I was very disappointed with the Sunday brunch at the Garden Terrace. Most of the reviews I read raved about the brunch. There were several food choices. I went for the seafood and found the shrimp and scallops were tasteless. The brunch was not worth $40.00 per person. I will not go back to the Garden Terrace.
Sunday Bunch never fails us when we go. Always something for everyone to eat. Chelsie is the best wait staff they have, she is always smiling and very attentive to our table.
Been here several times, always excellent. Buffet menu changes and not always items I like but always creative and well done. Always enough variety selection for anyone to have a great meal. Service is wonderful and attentive. If I had any recommendations it would be nice if crab clusters were warmer and shrimp spiced like peel & eat boiled. However they are good as served.
