A beautiful setting worthy of a Victorian Grand Dame hotel. The food is fine, if pricey. The setting makes the experience, however. Had the crab salad for lunch, which the waiter explained was a speciality. Generous amount of crab with greens and green goddess dressing on the side. Wonderful bread. I think I just have an east coast bias when it comes to crab. It seems tasteless, regardless of when or where I get it on this coast.
Beautiful & classic ambiance. Excellent service from over all staff. Our server, Amado was superb, friendly & efficient. Love this place! Have been dining here for years.
Comfortable ambience and the staff were all really nice. The sandwiches and desserts were so fine and delicate—very enjoyable and definitely visually appetizing. Only complaint was towards our waitress that kept forgetting about us and rushing off to help other guests. Luckily other staff were attentive and served us on multiple occasions, from the initial servings of tea & sandwiches, to refills and packing up. I have more complaints about her, but everything/everyone else made up for her. A must visit and experience!!
Afternoon tea service is wonderful. Delicious sandwiches and delightful dessert bites accompy the many choices for tea. A harpist plays classic tunes in a beautiful glass domed room. It doesn’t get much better!
Host was extremely rude to us. Disappointing as I made a reservation and they were very rude when I asked a question.
The lady placed my spoon very rudely on the table, and ran away when I needed it for my coffee, kinda like I don't want to even serve you. Also when she brought food to the table she just said watch out and placed the food in front of me without Informing me in a polite way. She seem like she was forced to work there vs being excited to work at a beauty hotel. The food was cold. It's not a place to eat at, just maybe for pictures and having a cup of coffee.
They used to have a great Bruch at this place. Apparently they don’t do that anymore. That’s a pity. It was THE place to go. Not any more.
All was well with brunch except the indoor temperature of the Garden Court was very cold for my liking. This was January but I was dressed in a warm sweater and it was still chilly.
Not having been to the Garden Court in a number of years, I felt it lacked some of the old charm it once had. The food was very mediocre as was the service.
Wonderful place for breakfast or lunch. Food is excellent, service is great, staff is friendly. Can’t ask for much more
