Food was good and server was nice. We made reservations for outdoor seating, but it was another 20 minute wait beyond our reservation time.

Lovely experience

We celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary with dinner here. The weather was beautiful. The restaurant was busy but social distancing was enforced. We ate inside because we weren’t sure about the wind. The deck overlooking the lake was full. Our server had tables inside and outside which we thought was odd. He did the best job he could but sometimes the service seemed slow. The food and drinks were great. Overall, it was a very nice time. This was not our first time here and we will go back and highly recommend this establishment.

This is my second time here. The first time was amazing and I would have given it 5 stars all around but the second time I visited which was 2 days ago (April 6, 2021), the service was very slow although our waitress was very nice. The food was just ok. I got the filet with scampi. It only came with 3 prawns and there was very little potatoes. For $50.00 I expected more although the filet was cooked to perfection. My daughter and husband ordered the crab sandwich and it was mediocre at best. Crab tasted like imitation. The atmosphere however is beautiful and you can’t beat the walk down the pier at the end of the meal.
I would try it once more just for best 2 out of 3 chances.

Lost our ticket and meal at took an hour to receive. Manager comped one app which was nice. Overall service still bad. Waiters had too many tables.

Great service, excellent food. Prices went up 90 cents per item in post-pandemic menu. Is fairly pricey with near $50 entry’s the rule now.

We were visiting from Texas with friends. They'd owned a condo in Tahoe for 20 years and we're anxious to take us to GarWood. My husband has owned several boats and knew of the GarWood brand. He was sad there was not a shirt in his size. Our waitress was wonderful. She kept up with all of our requests and even when we switched sides for the girls to have the view. We hope to return to ski in winter.

We had a lovely Easter brunch, on the deck, and it was beautiful. The service was excellent and all staff were so friendly. Would love to see more brunch options (perhaps an omelet bar?) for Sunday brunch. Highly recommend Gar Woods!

The food and drinks are expensive but they are good and the view makes it with it for a special occasion.

It was SO NICE to sit on the deck for Easter and enjoy Garwoods! We have been coming here for a long time and it's a perfect family spot. Good food and great drinks (Wet Woody's of course!)
Family favorites are the AhiTuna appetizers, all the sandwiches, the salmon salad and the fries are hands down the best around.
Garwoods never disappoints...can't wait to pull the boat up this summer!

Beautiful Easter Sunday brunch on the porch overlooking the lake! The service was spot on and my crabmeat sandwich was so good my husband kept asking for bites. And the Woody drink was 5he perfect accompaniment. Don't miss this place!

We enjoyed the food, service and gorgeous view. The $5.50 coke was excessive but other than that it was worth the $$$.

The food here is immaculate. So crazy delicious. And their signature cocktail, an absolute necessity. The outside patio offers stunning views (though it can definitely be a tad loud, but hey, it's a brilliant place to celebrate). Highly suggest this spot

Excellent place, beautiful scenary, awesome service and great food. I had a very good time and is the perfect place to be in Tahoe.

Even during Covid restrictions Gar Woods is on top of everything to ensure their customers feel great. From the moment you enter to the time you leave, it's as if you're on vacation and nothing can take that away. My husband & I love this place and have made it a stop every Tahoe trip. Thank you Gar Woods for a wonderful 50th bday of celebrating in the best atmosphere on the Lake.

We had a lovely dinner on the deck. View was perfect. Service was wonderful. Noise level was a bit loud.

Our server was excellent... our food tasted great and was delivered timely. The alcohol was good. overall a bit pricy in my opinion but for the quality and service it was worth it. A bit loud sitting outside but luckily it was a beautiful early evening dinner. Loved that we were seated immediately and they were ready for us.

The hostess and manger were rude to the seniors who requested 3x to have the heaters turned on. It was more important for the manager to turn the table and let them freeze. I finally had to ask on their behalf and the response I got was to move to a different table. I guess the hostess was to busy to listen to me say, excuse me, the table next to me is cold and asked to have the heat on.

Well the best aspect of Garwoods. Is it’s location on the shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe. The fact that the food and service are excellent makes for a very pleasurable dining experience

I love this place. Great food and drinks. The view from their deck is really what you go for. The kids meals are all $15.... like for a pb&j $15. Besides that, wonderful!

Always a great experience with great food and drinks. However 3 of us ordered the filet mignon and were given the wrong ones. My husband had eaten half of his before we realized they had given him my daughter’s well done and she had the rare that he ordered. Kind of awkward having to change plates with half eaten by my hubby and my daughter had just started. Kind of important when you are paying $48 a plate.

We just love this restaurant, as well as the others in the Tahoe/Truckee area! Great food and atmosphere. Just right fir entertaining guests who visit us in Tahoe. Would love a location in Incline Village, as we’re desperate for another great restaurant that understands the needs of Tahoe residents.

We live close by but I would not bother going back. Service was not great and I indicated a garlic allergy, asked specifically if there was no garlic in the salad dressing, and they brought me garlic chicken on my salad which I could not eat

Barely an apology and no offer to Comp my meal. Bad form and bad customer service.

Amazing view, amazing food, amazing service, amazing drinks! Felt so lucky to spend my birthday celebration here, it was more than I could’ve asked for!
