I have not been to Gar Woods Grill in years, so we decided to try it. We had four in our party and all of us throughly enjoyed our meal. The service was excellent and not rushed. The wine list is very good and reasonable. We will definatley go back. An enjoyable evening with great views of the lake.

We came up to celebrate my birthday and were able to book a last minute reservation on the deck for 9. It was a beautiful day on the lake and the staff made our day perfect. I can’t wait to go back!!!

The view is incredible. The servers and staff are nice and attentive. The food is okay, but very over priced. You're clearly paying a premium for the view, which is worth it.

We returned to Gar Woods after a few years' absence. We were thrilled to be back on the patio enjoying Wet Woodys, the delicious food, excellent scenery and atmosphere. My prime rib French dip sandwich with horseradish cream and side salad were yummy. My husband had the large Cobb salad and my son had a burger. Our server was friendly and attentive, and our order came out quick.

Amazing view and super service!!!

Cob salad with blackened chicken was delicious. It's a big salad! Hubby had crab sandwich, which was fabulous. We enjoyed our lunch with a nice big Wet Woody. The only thing missing was being able to eat out on the deck. It has been snowing that morning and there was still snow coming down from the trees and onto the deck. There were a few brave souls who wanted to eat outside, so one of the staff members cleaned and dried off a few tables. We were happy to be indoors. The view of the lake from indoors is pretty good! Not our first time here and not our last, though I do reserve for special occasions since it's about a 45 minute drive from Reno.

Wonderful views of Lake Tahoe. Friendly staff and all followed Covid procedures. The filet barbecue burger was delicious as well as the lobster deviled eggs. One day we will visit and sit outside on the patio.

Excellent service . The manager light a third outdoor heating lamp to keep us warm on the deck.

It was overall great. Food was good, drinks were solid. And the service was great from the host to the server and everyone we interacted with in between.

Food was good and server was nice. We made reservations for outdoor seating, but it was another 20 minute wait beyond our reservation time.

Lovely experience

We celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary with dinner here. The weather was beautiful. The restaurant was busy but social distancing was enforced. We ate inside because we weren’t sure about the wind. The deck overlooking the lake was full. Our server had tables inside and outside which we thought was odd. He did the best job he could but sometimes the service seemed slow. The food and drinks were great. Overall, it was a very nice time. This was not our first time here and we will go back and highly recommend this establishment.

Beautiful day on the deck for early April, Spring is here and our first visit for dining in a year! Great food!

This is my second time here. The first time was amazing and I would have given it 5 stars all around but the second time I visited which was 2 days ago (April 6, 2021), the service was very slow although our waitress was very nice. The food was just ok. I got the filet with scampi. It only came with 3 prawns and there was very little potatoes. For $50.00 I expected more although the filet was cooked to perfection. My daughter and husband ordered the crab sandwich and it was mediocre at best. Crab tasted like imitation. The atmosphere however is beautiful and you can’t beat the walk down the pier at the end of the meal.
I would try it once more just for best 2 out of 3 chances.

Lost our ticket and meal at took an hour to receive. Manager comped one app which was nice. Overall service still bad. Waiters had too many tables.

Great service, excellent food. Prices went up 90 cents per item in post-pandemic menu. Is fairly pricey with near $50 entry’s the rule now.

We were visiting from Texas with friends. They'd owned a condo in Tahoe for 20 years and we're anxious to take us to GarWood. My husband has owned several boats and knew of the GarWood brand. He was sad there was not a shirt in his size. Our waitress was wonderful. She kept up with all of our requests and even when we switched sides for the girls to have the view. We hope to return to ski in winter.

We had a lovely Easter brunch, on the deck, and it was beautiful. The service was excellent and all staff were so friendly. Would love to see more brunch options (perhaps an omelet bar?) for Sunday brunch. Highly recommend Gar Woods!

The food and drinks are expensive but they are good and the view makes it with it for a special occasion.

It was SO NICE to sit on the deck for Easter and enjoy Garwoods! We have been coming here for a long time and it's a perfect family spot. Good food and great drinks (Wet Woody's of course!)
Family favorites are the AhiTuna appetizers, all the sandwiches, the salmon salad and the fries are hands down the best around.
Garwoods never disappoints...can't wait to pull the boat up this summer!

Beautiful Easter Sunday brunch on the porch overlooking the lake! The service was spot on and my crabmeat sandwich was so good my husband kept asking for bites. And the Woody drink was 5he perfect accompaniment. Don't miss this place!

his was the perfect place for outdoor dining right on the lake. The food, service and ambience was good. Our table was ready when we arrived. The staff was very helpful.

We enjoyed the food, service and gorgeous view. The $5.50 coke was excessive but other than that it was worth the $$$.

The food here is immaculate. So crazy delicious. And their signature cocktail, an absolute necessity. The outside patio offers stunning views (though it can definitely be a tad loud, but hey, it's a brilliant place to celebrate). Highly suggest this spot

Excellent place, beautiful scenary, awesome service and great food. I had a very good time and is the perfect place to be in Tahoe.

Even during Covid restrictions Gar Woods is on top of everything to ensure their customers feel great. From the moment you enter to the time you leave, it's as if you're on vacation and nothing can take that away. My husband & I love this place and have made it a stop every Tahoe trip. Thank you Gar Woods for a wonderful 50th bday of celebrating in the best atmosphere on the Lake.
