Ordered medium rare hamburgers which came out raw in center. Was an ordeal to get them sent back and replaced. Waiter lacked experienced to understand it wasn’t a preference to not eat raw meat and kept telling meat was cooked medium rare. We asked for manager who came and immediately looked at the meat and took the food back and replaced it. We have gone to this restaurant many times over the years and have fond memories but we will not come back.

Mother’s Day brunch was mediocre at best. Went through the buffet twice, both times out of quite a bit. They were not on top of it. Cream cheese was empty and not refilled. Fish dish was empty. Caesar and fruit were wiped out. Waited for a new platter. Disappointing for the price.

I made Mother's day reservations a couple weeks ago. It was not mentioned that the menu was fixed (you could not order from the regular menu) nor that the buffet was $79/person. Kids $35. We felt deceived and trapped. We did not stay and may not go back. My wife and I felt Garwoods exploited the holiday for personal gain.

As regulars highly disappointed in overall food quality for Mother's Day Brunch. No scrambled egg hot dish, only cook to order (lines), potatoes horrible, no pancakes, french toast/waffles had to be ordered (they were very good), no egg substitute and NO COFFEE (what?).

The restaurant has a nice view but the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered the Caesar Salad and the lettuce was old. They were very nice about it and gave me drinks tokens to use next time I came back. They explained that the lettuce had arrived that morning. Ok sure, but that doesn’t make it fresh. It’s a good place to go for the lake view. I wish they had better quality food.

The view and wait staff, as always , were excellent. Howeverthe prices are ridiculous. No main entry (except pasta) under $50 and no white wine under $45. We elected to have two salads (one with salmon and one with steak) and they were less expensive and very good.

Lovely view of Lake Tahoe from our window seat. Servers were very attentive and friendly. Our dinners were tasty and plentiful. My husband had the French dip sandwich, and I had the steamed clams appetizer as my meal. We ordered the lobster deviled eggs, which were overpriced and the amount of lobster meat on each was scant at best. For $19, we would not recommend those, but the rest of the meal was good. The best part of this restaurant is its lovely location on Lake Tahoe.

The lobster bisque and french onion soup were amazing, as always. The calzone was tasty, but wow, I wished for a steak knife or some shop tool to get through the crust. It was VERY hard. Even so, it's hard to be anything but happy gazing out at the amazing lake.

Nothing decent for a vegetarian, not even a decent salad. I ordered a veggie burger that tasted so much like meat that I couldn't eat it. The waiter assured me that it was not meat. But when he saw me give it to my friends, he made no offer to try to find me something else. Because there was nothing else. Vegetarians, do not come here.

Fantastic! Everything was perfect. The drink menu is clever and offers a variety of fun named drinks. Our meal was the daily fish special and was delicious. Our server was super friendly and had a great sense of humor. Definitely will be coming back to check out some of those fun drinks and eat more fantastic food.
