Since 1988, Gar Woods Grill and Pier has been the premier waterfront dining destination in North Lake Tahoe. Floor-to-ceiling windows, large deck and balconies provide breath-taking views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierras. Gar Woods Grill and Pier is an upscale casual restaurant that accommodates groups of 160 just as easily as groups of two. Our Chef has created a menu highlighting California cuisine, hand cut steaks and fresh Pacific seafood, served in a fun-in-the-sun atmosphere. The wine list is a collection of best-known California vintners featuring more than a dozen wines by the glass. Enjoy the waterfront deck while sipping on Gar Woods world famous Wet Woody®. Gar woods Easter buffet was very good. Spread was open and inviting. Lobster risotto was excellent I enjoyed the lobster and shrimp rolls as well as the crab legs. I didn’t have the lamb or prime rib. The candy,lemon bars And cream puff were good dessert choices. The Lake was hazy but quiet

There’s hardly a better Lake Tahoe experience than sitting on the deck with that amazing view and enjoying the equally amazing food. And sure, have a Wet Woody while you’re at it. Relatives visiting from out of town (and out of the country) were properly impressed.

Our experience at Gar Woods was fantastic. My wife and in-laws joined me for dinner, and I was delighted to find that the restaurant and staff were as accommodating as I remembered from my previous visit. My wife, who has been on a strict diet, was thoroughly impressed with the food. The restaurant went above and beyond to accommodate my wife’s dietary restrictions, which we were grateful for. My in-laws also enjoyed the restaurant’s ambiance and the beautiful scenery. I highly recommend Gar Woods to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience with an exceptional view. We will definitely be returning.
