The name GAONNURI represents our placement in what we believe is the center of the world, both physically and figuratively. Located in the heart of New York City,

    Food and service was fantastic. The quality and attention to detail was really good. Highly recommend this place. It’s on the higher side of prices for Korean bbq; however, you get what you pay for.

    Great food and service, but my friend’s vegetarian dish was (understandably) mediocre. Goes without saying this is not a place for vegetarians. Appetizer dumplings were also nothing to write home about. Mushroom appetizer was very tasty and unique.

    Birthday celebration with my daughter and a dear friend at Gaonnuri was exceptional. The maitre d Jason welcomed us and accommodated my daughter who is on a wheelchair with a great table with amazing views of Manhattan. It was our first time returning to Gaonnuri since the pandemic! Thank you Jason and Gaonnuri staff for a memorial meal, we will be returning soon!

    Price is for the view not the food. The bbq itself has nothing to do with Korean food. It just seems like a mix of Korean food and bbq. If looking for a fancier dinner and the view, this is a good place, but if you are looking for quality Wagyu bbq go to a Japanese bbq place, if you are looking for Korean bbq go anywhere else in k town

    We were rushed through the entire meal as they were in a hurry to close their kitchen, and then their bar, and then their register. From beginning to end, we were made to feel like we were an inconvenience. Don’t have 8.30pm reservations available on a Sunday if it’s such an inconvenience.

    I am a global restaurant visitor. I haven’t had such a bad experience in ah long time. They pretend to be a high scale place. Elbe yon we walked in on the ground floor the receptionist welcomed us which was nice however the entrance was very dirty. She didn’t care to stand in trash from the street. I upstairs we were greeted by a second receptionist. She had an attitude problem. Our request to sit by the window was rejected because these tables are reserved for guests ordering the five course menu. So we sat in the back despite many tables being empty in the front. What a stupid way to treat customers. The food quality, especially the meat quality was terrible. For the prices they charge their meat is a joke.

    We were just a party of two and we ordered the premium set with Marinated Galbi. Quality of meat cooked was savory. Staff was very attentive to our needs. Banchan was delicious. It wasn’t too loud until the party sitting next to us got there. But definitely will visit again. Highly recommend.

    My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Gaonnuri - which was our first time at the restaurant. Service was wonderful and we reserved a window table with the tasting menu. Wonderful presentation and flavor in the tasting menu. Would definitely recommend.

    Gannouri is one of our favorite spots and a true treat when we go there. Not only is the food extraordinary and the view exquisite but the servers are knowledgeable and lovely. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

    Too be honest it was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had in the city. Food was bland and cold. Nice view and that’s why there so expensive. I’d stay away. You can find so much better like Jongro around the corner or COTE which is around the same price and a much much better experience.

    Great place for special occasions and not only. If you can get a table by the window it will even more special as will get a direct view of the Herald Square and upper part of the Empire State. Great food and atmosphere…seafood pancakes a must. :)
