Really delicious and beautiful view
Awesome meal..the tasting menu was fresh and innovative. The view cant be beat
Excellent food, service and ambiance....we will definitely be back. Love this restaurant!!
Very nice venue, food was good. Great place for our Team Gathering.
Great views, great service for a special lunch. Yummy fried mushrooms and root salad for appetizers!!
Always a favorite. One of the quietest nicest restaurants you can go to in the bustling ktown. And the prix Fixe prices are way too valid. Great quality food and service.
We were celebrating a birthday. Lunch was delicious. There were two prix fixes and an a la carte menu. Service was prompt and efficient. We were lucky enough to get a table by the window-spectacular view
It was for my girlfriend’s birthday and it was amazing. Thank you for the night
The experience at Gaonnuri was awesome on every level
I celebrated my boyfriends birthday here and dinner was fabulous. I requested a table by the window which we received and we saw a beautiful sunset. They even brought out desert with a candle and the plate said Happy Birthday in chocolate. I’d love to take a large group of friends or family here next time!
Fantastic experience! The views are amazing. The staff was warm and courteous. The service at our table was outstanding, with plenty of recommendations. The food was delicious from start to dessert. It was our birthday celebration and they gave us a nice table and a trio of sorbetes with a birthday candle (not requested, but it was a very nice gesture from the restaurant).
Overall, I would highly recommend and would go back there!
The best secret (maybe secret) in NY... especially for lunch or for a nice date night.
Was called by host earlier in the day to confirm a table close to the window without a grill. We were seated at a table far from the window with a grill (up the stairs by the booths). Requested a candle for the dessert because it was a birthday and didn’t get any candle or any mention of “happy birthday” Maybe the servers were too busy concentrating on cleaning up and just forgot. Or the host didn’t bother checking any notes. Either way, didn’t happen.
Great atmosphere service could have been a bit better
Delicious food and great views! A little on the pricy side, but would highly recommend for a nice dinner or business lunch.
Amazing view amazing food!! Loved it! It was delicious!
Great night at Gaonnuri beautiful views great food and service....we were on the early side 6PM reservation for business dinner it was empty as we walked in but within a half hour it was hopping. Good mix of people out with friends/business and couples. Service was friendly and efficient. Really enjoyed will definitely go back.
Magnifique restaurant. Nourriture exceptionnelle. Cadre somptueux.
Nice view, excellent food, quite expensive, service could be more attentive
Gaonnuri was recommended by a friend. “Worth a fairly long taxi ride,” she said. I’m not so sure, although the nighttime view of the NYC skyline from the 38th floor was certainly impressive and largely made up for the so-so food. One dish, the Black Cod Gui, was up to expectations and I heartily recommend it. Our other dish, Galbi Jjim, was not at all up to the praise for it I read in a review. The short ribs swimming in a pot of watery sauce looked unappetizing and were very tough, even grisly in parts. I mentioned this to a waitress and received a lukewarm apology. The side dishes were not very special either and included cold roast potatoes. So, if you are flush with money and you are looking for a fancy restaurant with a breathtaking view and a fifty-fifty shot at a delicious meal, Gaonnuri might be the place.
I would recommend the place for the gorgeous view, the nice large room with night soft lights and atmosphere. We appreciated that the music wasn’t too loud as it is in many other places.
Food was a little disappointing though. I came before and remembered it as more refined and fresh. Nothing memorable this time.
Gaonnuri was exceptional!! From the food to the service and ambiance. I would definitely recommend to friends and go back. We had the dinner prefix and it was the perfect portions for two people.
Excellent service. Great ambiance. Delicious food.
The food was delicious! Unfriendly service, waiting too long for food to arrive and attention from the waitress where almost impossible. Portions are good,
Excellent food and service. The views are great but the food is better.
The food was delicious and the view was beautiful. The staff was friendly without being too overbearing.
Waiters are not attentive, quite snooby
Thank you for nice birthday dinner.
Me and my girlfriend celebrated her birthday.
Delicious, beautiful view and we will definitely be back again!!
A widow table is key - it's on the 39th floor of the building! We had the non-beef BBQ and the Saki tasting flight. They were both delicious. Service was excellent.
upscale korean with a gorgeous ambience and view
good value for the money
Elegant location with an amazing view of the city and delicious food.
We were on a short visit to New York from Ireland and wanted to go somewhere special for out last evening. Gaonnuri was just wonderful, great food and amazing views over Manhattan. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Enjoyed everything about our dining experience!
I payed and gave a tip then went to the bar for a drink, the waitress then came over and asked if there was a problem with the service as I didn’t tip 20% as they were slow with looting drinks and showing me to the table
The food was mediocre at best. I believe the price tag reflects the beautiful NYC skyline, not the caliber of the food. The wait staff was not helpful in helping us decide our meal. When I asked the difference between two menu items, I got “one comes in a cold plate, (as he pointed to an empty plate on the table) and one comes in a hot.” I noticed the server prepare the hot dish that I had ordered for the next next to us. He did not prepare it for out table. I would have excused the poor service if the food was outstanding. This restaurant falls short on everything expect for ambience. Will not be returning.
Went there to celebrate my son’s birthday w/ family The food was good but the service was awful. We will never go back again, it was not worth the price.
Location was a little difficult to find. Staff made us feel a little rushed. Staff could have been a little more helpful with the menu. Food however was excellent.
Lovely place and views but food was nothing special
