The name GAONNURI represents our placement in what we believe is the center of the world, both physically and figuratively. Located in the heart of New York City,
a city that represents the intersection of the finest cuisines and eclectic cultures, GAONNURI seeks to gather people of all backgrounds to share
in a traditional Korean dining experience. We hope that the authenticity of the food

    There were not enough server and the food was not the same as before. Food was burned and side dish was not enough, The food came late. I was so looking forward to go there and the good quality went down. Mostly, they did not have enough steps and everyone was struggle to serve. Place was busy. I think american don’t know the difference probably

    We came to Gaonnuri for a friend’s birthday and I would recommend this place 1000 times over. Our waiter was Jose, and he made our experience amazing here. Jose provided Impeccable service and great recommendations for our group and even a special birthday dessert celebration for the birthday girl. The views at Gaonnuri can’t be beat and the food is mouthwatering. Highly recommend Gaonnuri for an elevated Korean BBQ experience. Ask for Jose 10/10

    Exquisite food in a sublime setting … go early if you want a more elegant vibe and later if you want a party vibe. Tuna tartare and dumplings were lovely but the mushrooms app was most memorable! We got the ribeye / wagyu combination and the meat was the best we’ve had. The servers were gracious and efficient. We had asked for a window seat but didn’t get one. Before dessert, a table opened up and they offered to move us.

    I absolutely loved the service here, they were so helpful and attentive. Came here for my daughters 11 birthday and it was all she wanted a boujee delicious dinner, and those views. 10/10 recommend and will come back

    The food, service and manager were exceptional. The food was delicious, recommendations were amazing, not overly seasoned and piping hot when they arrived at the table. The waiters were extremely attentive and beyond pleasant. The drinks were perfectly mixed and the view was breathtaking. There was one hostess who should consider another line of work but other than that I was beyond pleased with the restaurant.

    ✅ good food ✅ good service ✅ good ambience 👎 a little pricey Overall we had a good experience, but it’s not the Korean BBQ experience that I was expecting. Why? For the price of set meal $75/person, I was expecting a little more, the sides like kimchis and radishes is very limited and small portion, shared plate for two people which is very very small. Sorry I don’t have pic only the dessert.

    Waiters kept interrupting us and nagging us to order food and pay the check, as they were eager to turn the table in just one hour! It was incredibly rude service and an embarrassment to my business guest from out of town. Won’t be going here again.

    Seafood pancakes were quite bland while the beef, japchae and tuna tartare dishes were excellent. I had notified restaurant in advance that we were celebrating my wife's birthday, but there was no acknowledgment of that at the dinner. I had also requested a window table as we had in our last visit (if it was available--since we were not having the tasting menu). When I asked the hostess about whether a window table was available, she proceeded to inform me that we needed to make reservations much earlier than we did!

    We had a wonderful time at our dinner! The barbecue was so delicious…the service was perfect. They made my husband’s birthday very special. Thanks also for returning my husbands ring that had fallen off at the table!

    Excellent presentation from the moment you enter the lobby. You are very high up and it is definitely high end. Service was very knowledgeable and courteous. The food was tasty, but the menu can be deceiving…make sure you use portion control. Great place for pictures and the GRAM!!

    I haven't been to Gaonnuri since before the pandemic. I had liked it for it's stunning views and delicious food. This first time back was spectacular. The staff were attentive and helped us select the right amount of food. Our waiter also suggested the Mushroom Tangsoo - a sweet and sour Korean/Chinese hybrid appetizer. If you like mushrooms, you'l love this! And with the BBQ sets, the wait staff also made sure the meat was cooked to our liking. The set comes with several sides like kimchi, daikon that tasted like horseradish, a delicious salad, and a miso-based stew. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend this restaurant!

    Very nice, celebrated my wife’s birthday here and everyone was very attentive throughout the experience. We had an idea of what to expect from previous reviews about the cuisine and this helped prepare our expectations for a more delicacy focused adventure. It’s a high class place and not there to try and tank up on beef. Drinks were delicious and the view was amazing as advertised. Happy to recommend for special occasions.
