The name GAONNURI represents our placement in what we believe is the center of the world, both physically and figuratively. Located in the heart of New York City,
a city that represents the intersection of the finest cuisines and eclectic cultures, GAONNURI seeks to gather people of all backgrounds to share

    Our anniversary dinner was a pleasant surprise. It was a 2nd choice that should have been the first. Back story, we tried to walk in (didn’t reserve thinking it was a Monday) at a high end Michelin star Korean restaurant few blocks down but was declined (was told we could eat at the standing bar). Also the receptionist made it a point to us that we need to make reservations months in advance! So thanks to Mr google, I found Gaonnuri with 4+ star rating and gave it a try. Luckily i did and made a reservation for two via Open table. Everything was perfect from reception to dessert - they even gave us an on-the-house anniversary desert - and their staff Alan was awesome! Excellent accidental choice! Not to be missed! PS. Amending the address to 1250 Broadway corner 32nd St. would be of big help to first time diners like us:-)

    We had an amazing experience having dinner at Gannouri. They food was delicious, service was very nice and attentive, and the view from our table was stunning. It’s on the pricier side, but it’s definitely worth it

    Special location and truly delicious food. Wonderful waitstaff. Was a little loud with a bunch of young children seated near our table, but that felt like out of the norm there.

    The food at atmosphere was good. Although we reserved main dining we were given a window seat. At the end of our service we were told window view are usually only given for the $145 per person tasting. I felt this could have been left unsaid as we did not request a window seat.

    The server was careless dropping food on the table, then put it back on the customer's plate. The American "Wagyu" steak was tough and of low quality.

    For the price you pay, the banchan is laughable. It’s just 3 items: cucumbers, shredded cabbage, and a side of kimchi. Every other restaurant in the area loads you up other stuff like rice cakes, dried fish, etc. You’re really just paying for a few squares of wagyu and the city views. Friendly staff and a few nice desserts. Overall not worth it for the food. Maybe if you want a few photos for instagram.

    I brought my wife to Gaonnuri for her birthday and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. The food, service, ambiance and drinks were wonderful. We selected the pre set menu with some side meats and left feeling full and satisfied. I strongly recommend Gaonnuri for any occasion.

    Let me start by saying Jason and his staff were beyond exceptional!! I contacted Jason via email 2 days before our reservation requesting to do a gender reveal for my fiancé and myself. Let me tell you. He went above and beyond!! He made a special case with dry ice that we opened at the table to reveal we were having a baby boy!!! He crafted a special cocktail & mocktail for us in blue and created a special desert plate !! It was such an amazing experience!!! Not to mention the entire staff was extremely friendly and so attentive!! I loved our experience and are so glad we came here. Now the food. The cuts of meat that are served here are some of the absolute best cuts of meat I’ve tasted. The ribeye was amazing and my fiancé loved the kimchi fried rice. So good! Thank you again Gaonnuri staff and Jason for such an unforgettable moment.

    Very pleasant experience. Everything was well prepared. Only disappointment was the octopus in an appetizer was significantly more rubbery than it was in other restaurants. Beautiful setting and sunset in late afternoon. Servers was attentive and helpful.

    Great vibe!! Got to our table on time. Waiter was very attentive, food excellent, did not feel rushed even though the place was packed. Much dancing in the "isles"

    The food was absolutely delicious. The ambience was great. It was really cool views with nice spacious seating. Our waiters were exceptional. The desserts were insane in the meat was delectable. It was pretty expensive but overall I think it was worth it.

    Came here for a special day and everything was spectacular! The food, the views, the service. Highly recommend the galbi, which was excellent. Loved that it wasn’t very noisy at all and we were able to carry conversation easily. Honestly hopping we can come back soon, even if just for a drink in the lounge. Really loved this experience!

    We had an amazing experience at Gaonnuri!!! Sat at a large round table right by windows with a beautiful view. Alex took us through the menu and made great suggestions. They barbecued the meat tableside and it was delicious. Also highly recommend the deconstructed snickers for dessert :) We will definitely be back.

    Booked Gaonnuri for our family of 6 for my wife’s special birthday after reading a Time Out review. Visiting from the UK we weren’t sure what to expect…but certainly weren’t disappointed! ALL the appetisers were delicious…beef dumplings, pork belly, mushrooms, seafood pancakes…portion sizes are much bigger than the UK, so really good to share. We chose a variety of mains, two of us shared a set barbecue platter which is cooked at the table…every morsel had the “mmmm” factor. Others had the Kimchi Lobster fried rice which again was a large portion of deliciousness…the portion size didn’t deter both recipients from clearing their plates. Others had different bibimbaps, which I am assured was equally as good. Dining in the shadow of the Empire State Building with excellent service and a well stocked bar, what else could you want. So in summary if you’re looking for something a little bit different with delicious food and superb service look no further than Gaonnuri.
