Definitely over priced food. Drinks higher than usual. Food was good, service excellent!
The staff and ambience of the restaurant were great. The food was disappointing. It started out great with the complimentary amuse-bouche and the soup. My crab starter was unappetizing, and the flavor was so strong that I couldn't get rid of the taste. My tenderloin was also overcooked. The views were beautiful, but the food fell flat. I have been here for brunch and enjoyed that experience much more. You have a beautiful restaurant with knowledgeable staff and sommelier, but the dinner needs to be improved. Overall, my husband and I just didn't feel it was worth the price.
Such A great setting, view, and experience. Remember that your gondola ride is covered by the cost of the brunch.
It was our 20th Anniversary and the absolute perfect restaurant to celebrate. I enjoyed the Chef's 5 course meal with wine pairing and my wife had the 4 course selection. Our visit can be described as an exciting culinary experience, as we finished each course our enthusiasm grew as we waited to taste what was next. Each course was so unique and delicious we thought it impossible to be match, but were proven wrong as each course arrived. By far my favorite course was the ELK! Ryan, our waiter, did an excellent job with explaining each dish in detail and timing of the delivery. Cheers to the Chef and Somalia with the wine pairing choices! The entire meal could only be outdone by mother nature and the spectacular sunset but it was close!
Fantastic dinner and service. The Prix Fixe menu had four or so options for each course and, between the four of us, we covered much of the offering. Everything extremely well prepared and the service was outstanding - great staff. The hit of the evening was the sunset - you will not find a better vantage point in the Vail valley! Its expensive and worth it. NOTE: Get to the bottom of the gondola at least 30 minutes before your reservation. A short shuttle takes you from the top of the gondola to the restaurant.
INCREDIBLE!!!! 5 year anniversary dinner and we loved every moment! The gondola ride is fun
impeccable service. Amazing food. You just don’t see that level of attention to detail anymore. You all really got it right. Thank you!
Game Creek is a tradition in the Vail Valley. We celebrated our 51st anniversary there with Sunday Brunch. We have previously been to Game Creek sking, and for dinner with family and guests.
Arriving at the tailend of a Brunch we were delighted to have privacy and quiet and a magnificent view. The staff had time to chat and were very gracious and friendly. Although the fare was only “fair,” - to be fair, we arrived after the fare had been sitting a while. Best to try earlier if you are a foodie.
We enjoyed our day and wandered all over Adventure Ridge following Brunch.
What a GREAT restaurant! The views are unbelievable, our meal was outstanding and the whole vibe was perfect for a date night! Get a reservation and go here! The gondola ride up was a plus!
Beautiful location-- excellent service-- great food!
Fabulous experience, wonderful view. The food was great and the ambience better. Nice wine list
We found this gem last year during happy hour and had a great sunset view. This year we returned for an anniversary dinner and had an amazing meal. The views are unequaled and the staff is excellent. We will definitely return when we are back in Vail.
One of the best meals we have ever had! Beautiful evening started on the deck with cocktails and apps and continued into a truly delicious meal. My only complaint was there was a large private group at the same time and the service was very slow even though the main dining room was almost empty.
The restaurant is located on the top of Vail mountain and ithe views were spectatcular, as was the gondola trip to and from the base of the mountain and the restaurant. But the food was pretty mundane, not nearlly as good in terms of quality and choice one would expect for a venue as nice as this and the pre fixe of $100 was way over priced
The service was impeccable and the food was Michelin worthy. Time your reservation to see the sunset - the view is amazing. Will definitely return!
By far our favorite place when we are skiing in Vail. You need to take the gondola in Lionshead and then a snow cat that takes you to this gem. It's normally a private club that opens for dinner during winter. It's definitely worth the little hassle to get there, it's a very romantic chalet, spectacular sunsets, excellent food and service
Grear place. Food and service is amazing and the views of the sunset were incredible.
This was the best dinner we have ever had. Great job Dan the Exec Chef.
Best lamb I have tried
We found Game Creek to be very nice, with great views and fantastic food. Service was perfect. Highly recommend this take and good value given pre fixe price included 4 course meal, gondola ride and snowcat ride to the restaurant! Carlton and Leslie, Plymouth, MA
Game Creek has been a long time favorite for us. Saturday evening's experience was no exception. The staff was attentive as always The atmosphere and food are always outstanding. The difference this time was that we made the trip up the mountain in daylight and had the wonderful experience of watching the sunset from the dining room. The view is magical. The food was wonderful from appetizer to dessert. We were introducing good friends to Vail and this was the capstone of their visit. Completely worth the trip up the gondola!
Food was amazing. Experience of the gondola and sno-cat was pretty awesome. Two issues: the mass amount of children with a couple of melt-downs did not go well with my beautifully crusted cod. The other issue was I had called ahead concerning a special request and I was assured no problem. But it in fact was an issue. If there was an apology without the shaming and that it was my fault even after I called their restaurant all would have been forgiven. Sad because the food was fabulous!
It’s a one of a kind experience the short trip in a sno cat ( luxury version ) from the top of the Lions Head gondola to the resturant. The restaurant is excellent the service was attentive but not obtrusive The casual elegence and overall experience make this a must do. This was my second visit ( last 2015 ) l’ll brings back the next time I’m in Vail
Only option is set menu/ up charges for ice
A wonderful experience. From the snow cat ride to the delicious food.
Great food and service!
Everything done to perfection.
Truly remarkable experience!
For a Prix Fixe price of $115 per person I expected much better food than this. My steak was not edible - very dry and tough. I literally only took 3 bites and had to set is aside. The server didn't even take notice that it had barely been touched. As a couple we spent over $400 on this meal (food, wine and gratuity) and would not do it again.
Despite the weather being somewhat inclimate, dining at Game Creek was well worth braving the cold. Service was exceptional, our waiter was very attentive to our needs. My husband and I got different items of the preFix menu and everything was done perfectly. I highly recommend Game Creek!
Great service from Brandon throughout. Sadly the kitchen served cold dishes to some of us and that let him down a bit!
He handled it brilliantly and the cold food was rightly deducted from the bill. The Appetizers were the best part of the meal.
The trip in the cat was spectacular.
Amazing Dinner!!! Food was incredible. Wow!!! Thinking about going again tonight.
Ambiance and experience were great. Food should have been much better. Flame and Terra Bistro were much better restaurants.
Very much enjoyed our experience. Great service and wine list. Food was very good and the ambiance is excellent.
Excellent and high quality food. Good service and very nice ambience. The ride to and from the restaurant in a snow-cat adds to the experience. Very extensive and astonishing wine list, but difficult to find any reasonable priced bottles.
Very attentive staff and SnoCat ride was great.
Enjoyable experience as a whole. When you tie in the Gondola and snowcat rides it is a great adventure for the kids too.
They do well catering for food issues.
Attentive in a nice way. Knowledgable Sommelier. Varied menu choices. Something to suit most everyone.
Valentine s day
Cool experience and something to impress a significant other. This was our second time, but the novelty was gone.
