Lovely experience and incredible view!!
Salmon was quite dry and overcooked. Large portions which is a little unusual for a menu - a lot was wasted on our table.
Otherwise, excellent food, service and ambience. Lovely wine list.
Henry was a fantastic server. The food exceeded our expectations and the arrival to the restaurant was so much fun. Every detail was seen too and we felt very special!
Went for our once a year family Vail top of the mountain special dinner. They got rid of kids menu and only option was Caesar salad (lots of anchovies) and a filet that was so salty kids would not eat it. Both our meals (cod and wild bore) were terrible. Our server was a delight and I hate leaving a negative review because she was great. What a waste of $500+. We might be bailing on years of going to Vail as every restaurant and overall service has taken a major turn for the worst.
Our family of four will never forget our wonderful experience at your restaurant- food , snowcat, gondola and beautiful view! The best part was the people and how we were treated by each one- truly a special evening to be remembered .
We loved it!
Way overpriced for the meal and experience
Was able to introduce friends to a whole new kinda fun. Finished a week of historic snowfall and a historic meal. Thanks GCC see u next year
We enjoyed the Game Creek Restaurant completely! Everything was outstanding!!
We had the set menu for Valentine's day. My husband had the chef's special menu and I had the regular one.
The appetizers and courses prior to the main course were artfully presented and delicious, as was the dessert.
We were both disappointment on the main course. My husband's rack of lamb consisted of only 2 pieces of lamb that were severed extremely rare and barely edible.
My black cod dish was very salty and did not seem to be fresh as it had a "fishy smell". I was changed to the salmon dish, which was better.
The ambiance and service are excellent, and the presentation of each course is beautifully presented.
A must do when you want to splurge. From the available blankets at the base of the gondola to the Cat ride to the restaurant truly a memorable experience. Our server, Ali was terrific.
Food excellent, my only complaint is that the serving sizes a bit too large. Black Cod and foix gras were amazing.
Very high quality food on par with the finest restaurants in Vail or Beaver Creek.
Wonderful meal with our family of 5. Server was fantastic! Food was outstanding. The whole experience is special.
Expensive experience but very special
Food was great
Pacing of courses well done
Great service without any
A wonderful time
Wonderful experience with the cat ride, etc. Excellent food, presentation and service. We will go back next year when we return to Vail.
The food is fancy and so are the prices!
We had an amazing experience! Great service and an amazing meal! Our snow cat driver was super nice and it was our highlight! We will be back next year!
I haven't missed a dining experience at Game Creek Restaurant in my last five trips to Vail. The food has always been five stars from start to finish except for this time. I don't know if it is because chef Toppell is no longer there or what but the overall quality of the meal was far below my expectations and what I have had in the past at Game Creek. I'm not sure I will be back.
One of my top dining experiences ever. Food was fantastic, service exceptional. The experience getting there is fun too. A memorable experience
The gondola and cat up to the restaurant were nice. The indoor cat keep you warm. The food itself is very good, not great, but definitely worthy. Some of the accoutrements were served cold, like the sides for the entrees. My dessert arrived frozen (Panna cotta) which should be more like a creamy cross between pudding and gelatin. The flavor was delicious but part of panna cotta is the texture which was lost. . My husbands dessert (donuts) were perfectly served. The service is also very good. Very similar to like restaurants in beaver creek. No complaints, no exclamations either.
Outstanding wine pairing dinner
Game Creek is a must see and do if you find yourself in Vail. It’s completely unexpected-the food, the service, the snow Cat ride to get there- perched in the middle of a bowl you might ski down.
Every dish was better than the last. We were not rushed and the service was timely and helpful.
Tip- take an early reservation- you can enjoy the views- once it’s dark you can’t see anything.
The Game Creek people, experience and food exceeded ALL expectations. The warmth of the people as you are greeted at the bottom of the gondola, to the coat check and the wait staff was incredible. The snow cat experience was like no other ... you will remember it the rest of your life. The presentation of the food was impeccable ... the creativity, care in assembling and burst of flavor with every bite was food chemistry at its height. We would HIGHLY recommend this experience.
The experience getting there was impressive - very much enjoyed! We were looking for a bit more direction on how to order. We picked the 4-course menu and added in a 5th course because we just couldn't decide. I wish our server had told us that these are not tasting portions - they are full, fairly large, portions. We weren't able to finish our meal and asked them to pack up dessert for us to go, which they were happy to do. We also requested wine pairings with each course. They were paired very well - I was impressed! The sommelier was very busy and only stopped by our table once. For the price of the meal, I was expecting a bit more conversation with the pairings (why each wine was selected, etc), but really didn't get that. I enjoyed pretty much every course except the entree. Pear salad - fabulous. Scallop appetizer - brilliant. The bison tartare was incredible - one of the best things I've eaten! We both selected elk for the entree and, sadly, neither of us were a fan. It was a bit tough to chew. The vegetable gratin, brussels sprouts and huckleberry that came with it were all delicious, though. We ordered the donuts and the cheese for dessert - both were incredible, though the donuts were my personal favorite.
Gondola and Cat ride up and down was fabulous. Service was fabulous, food was excellent right up to the entrée. Especially, the steak tartare, outstanding! Salmon was undercooked, Boar was bland, not much flavor. Service and ambience were truly outstanding!
What an experience from start to finish... we went for a 50th birthday w 10 girls... it was the highlight of our week away in vail. The snowcat ride was unforgettable and a bonus!!!
Beautiful restaurant and amazing food and service!
The experience of riding the gondola and taking a snow cat to the restaurant makes the evening fun. You are expected and addressed by your name, the service is very gracious and the food is good.
Great food, drinks, and service. The gondola and snowcat rides to the restaurant were fun and made the experience extra great.
A great meal in a fabulous environment, with a great experience. The ride up on the gondola on a cold night, seeing the lights of Vail disappear below was a great beginning. The food was great, especially the pumpkin soup and bison tartar. The food pricing is good value, as are the cocktails, although a reasonable bottle of wine was way overpriced.
An experience you really should have next time you’re in Vail.
We booked a dinner here to celebrate our honeymoon for our last night in Vail. Everyone we had talked to leading up to the dinner raved about the experience, so our expectations were high. We were not disappointed. From the moment we stepped on the Gondola, it was a fantastic evening. The snowcat driver was extremely kind and even gave us his recommended favorite dishes, the staff was very attentive, and the overall meal was delicious. We both had the pumpkin soup and scallops, which was so good. My husband had the Wild Boar, which was incredibly tender, as was the Short Rib. My only negative is that my Filet was a little overcooked and tough, but it was not a huge deal. It’s not a cheap evening, but it is totally worth it! We especially loved the champagne toast they gifted us at the start of our meal. Class and charm all the way through.
Lovely experience. Everyone each step of the way (from gondola ride to coat check and server) was super polite. We appreciated the blankets in the gondola. The snow cat was fun! The dinner was tasty. My husband did the chefs special and I did the prix fix. Basically both were delicious. We had a wonderful time. Happy I booked this experience.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner celebration at Game Creek. The chefs choice tasting menu was decadent, so expect a flavorful but rich meal! Afterwards it’s tricky waiting for your Cat ride back down the mountain, they don’t have a way of keeping track of guests who have requested to go back down, and then it basically becomes a mad rush for the door when the next Cat comes. A waitlist or prepping diners for this as they finish their meal would continue on that nice feeling through the end of the experience.
The best experience ever! The food incredible, wine exquisite, Liz was lovely, she explained everything and made sure our experience was outstanding, and sure was! Definitely going back again! The experience with Chris and the snowcat is a must! Best restaurant ever!
We couldn’t rave enough about our experience. The service was the best we’ve ever had, from getting blankets at the gondola, getting our pictures taken on the snowcat, to the impeccable service from our waiter describing each dish. The meal was great and each course was beautifully crafted. We can’t wait to return next year!
The overall experience is lovely, especially for the children. The food was mostly good expect of the brisket which was a little over cooked. The service was adequate but our server never really asked how we wanted our meat dishes and the meat filet/brisket combo was a little over cooked for our liking. He never came to check how we liked our meals either just if "we were done enjoying". The children loved their filets and the lobster bisque was flavorful, although it could have used more lobster.
Excellent. My kids haven’t stopped talking about the snowcat ride
Had a great night, Chad took wonderful care of my family of 7. The snow cat ride up and back was fun as well. I
wonderful!! very fun and delicious too!
Great. Had an amazing warm ride up and a chilly ride down
