This restaurant was very elegant while also not being too pricey! The food was delicious. The only thing that was off was the fact that the light randomly went dim and it was difficult too see around
Great place! Jessica was our bartender and she was so awesome we gave up our reservations at a table and sat at the bar and ate and drank there. All of her recommendations were spot on. She was a great conversationalist, knew when to leave us alone and when to be attentative. She really made the experience great. The food was excellent. Loved the meatball sliders and the veal saltimbucco. Even their Greek salad was great! Highly recommend this for any occasion but for a great eating experience a the bar with a very professional yet personable and good bartender, go here.
A perfect brunch while in the city. Great food, attentive service. We looked at the dinner menu and it looked wonderful as well. We had salads and omelette, but pasta looked amazing. Will recommend and return.
Went here for our 3yr wedding anniversary and the ambiance, decor and service were wonderful. I had the Norma pasta which was delicious. My husband had the pesto pasta with chicken which was good but could be better. The back area was a lil noisy with tight spaces but great as it added energy to the room. Overall a wonderful experience!!
Great food, loved the local feel of the place. Recommended for a dinner with friends.
I picked this restaurant for my baby celebration with friends dinner because I’ve had several great lunches there.
I chose the shrimp salad, which is my fave there, but it was a tower of greens with 4 small shrimp. I recommend this plate to my friend and we wee both disappointed.
Service was ok.
Ambiance is really nice.
Big menu, big portions, great ambiance, good prices - solid "new Italian" place. Will be back!
We have been there many times and it just keeps getting louder and louder to the point you can only hear yourself. Also, they focus on parties and less on tables of four or less. While the food is good they could not accommodate any changes from the menu because of their attention to their large parties. Tt was not a pleasant dining experience at all and we are unlikely to go again.
Nice service. Tasty food. Nice vibe.
Good value considering overall. They know abou italian cuisine and wines.
We came here for my birthday dinner for a group of 8. Food was very good classic Italian, service was excellent which was a nice surprise considering how busy it was and there were 8 of us. I enjoyed all of it.
The three of us had a great time. The atmosphere was festive, and the food and service were excellent.
I loved the veal and carbonara. I loved dining with Kendrick Lamar and Cardi B playing over the speakers.
Great food and great service - happy hour until 7 is perfect and there is a fun selection of cocktails.
I like the place and the food is fine. But the music is too loud and I couldn't enjoy my time like that. I don't understand why the place is so loud.
The neighborhood was terrific and the food was very nice. However, the music and sound level were incredibly loud. It was extremely difficult to have a conversation with my date who was sitting a very short distance away from me. Unfortunately, that ruined the experience for me.
We were 1/2 an hour late for the 4:30 reservation due to a train fiasco, but we were still able to be seated, whew. We thought we needed to be out for a 6:30 reservation, but the manager happened to check in with us right around that time, and instead of being kicked out we scored a free dessert! Wow, so nice! The food and drinks were both excellent, and the ambiance was classy and intimate. Great spot.
I had a reservation for 8 of my coworkers of varying ages. The atmosphere was cozy and fun. We met at the bar to have a drink before dinner, the bar is small but the happy hour prices were good. We enjoyed good, reasonably priced wine with dinner. We shared a bunch of apps which were small so we ordered multiples of some. Tuna Tartar was great, as were the sliders. I had the "Vodka" for dinner, which was a take on penne vodka with prosciutto. It was the perfect bit of spicy and really tasty. The pasta portions were on the smaller side, but perfect as to not bring home any left overs. We stayed and had more wine after dinner and did not feel rushed at all. The service was very good, our glasses were never empty but they certainly did not feel over bearing as can be common. This would probably be a great place for a date.
The staff was excellent, & the cocktails were well executed. Most of our entrees were ok, but not exciting. The pasta in the Amatriciana was on the undercooked side of al dente, & the kale salad was so dry that I had no interest in eating it. We went on a Friday night, & it was probably one of the loudest dining experiences I've ever had. A great place to party, but tough for dinner.
birthday- what a wonderful place!
Expect to have a quick dinner here. After our main course was cleared, the server came by, with the check in hand, and advised that the restaurant needed the table for the next guests.
We met some friends at Galli for dinner. We found the food, service and overall value excellent!
I love this restaurant! Wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Best chicken parm in the city!
Food was good. Portions are small. Pasta is cheap so we were all surprised at how little we got. None of us left full. The appetizers were small also. You can’t share an appetizer. Actually each person would have to order an appetizer, salad and entree to feel like you had a meal and not a light dish. Food tasted good. And I liked the staff and atmosphere but next time would order more.
Saturday lunch in a casual, brick walled high ceiling room. The space was bright and cheerful. Service was attentive including a host who checked out coats and wet umbrellas. We had the grilled calamari (on bed of arugula) and the mozzarella chips (only 4-5pcs) , both very good. Friends ate various pastas and a burger, all very tasty nicely done. Highly recommend the penne vodka and baked eggplant.
Galli was perfect for a late afternoon meal. The restaurant can accommodate large groups as well. The food was excellent -- plates large enough that could be shared. Great wine list as well.
Read a lot of reviews about the bad front door people and wait staff- totally not our experience last night. The gentleman at the front door was behind fantastic!! From the second we entered he was gracias and super professional. Speaking about professional, our waiter and his team also were amazing. So attentive and genuinely interested in our wellbeing..
Truthfully the food was fine, nothing to write home about , but the service made our night.
Galli used to be one of my favorite spots in Soho. However, the food has recently gone down hill. I’m hoping that it recovers. The service is still great and the cocktails are wonderful!
The food was fantastic and drinks were wonderful. We'll definitely be back! The place has a great vibe and is nicely appointed as well.
The service was okay, at times frustrating and rude, at times just fine. The place was pretty tightly packed in the back dining room and that too on a Monday night, so do keep that in mind if you take a big group. We were a group of 10 and packed in pretty tightly, but it got significantly better as the night went on and the rest of the patrons filtered out leaving us plenty of space and much less noise.
Loved it! We ordered the baby rice balls, Caesar salad, gnocchi, branzino, and berries dessert and everything was Divine! They also remembered I had mentioned it was my birthday when I made the reservation and surprised me with a little trick candle in the dessert :) our server, Gabi was awesome too. The bus people were a bit too quick at removing our silverware and left us with too few forks a couple times lol but no biggie. Perfect for a group of friends. Will be back!
Upon entering the restaurant it was loud and the space is very small. There is one bathroom for over 100 people! The table was ready when we arrived, but the servers seemed in a hurry and expected us to know what we wanted right away! It was so loud as well very difficult to hear the servers as well as the person sitting next to me. The food was bland. Worst Gnocchi (under cooked) I have ever had. My husband had the kale salad- very little dressing and piled so high on a small plate that the food was falling off the plate as he ate it.
This place is a must for me everytime I visit the city. The baby arancini are my favorite. They are little but delicious and filling. The sandwiches and pasta are amazing! Authentic and tasty. Make a reservation because this place is little and fills up fast. Enjoy!
I had made a reservation about a week and half before our monthly get together with my girlfriends. Our reservation was at 6:45 and one of our friends was running about 5 min late., The hostess was incredibly rude. didnt want to check our coats or sit us. and was quick to point out that she had a reservation at 8 for our table and we would need to be done with our meal before then. I was SHOCKED! when we asked 3 times to get out coats check she finally did it and when we were seated she said again we will need this table at! was extremely poor service on her part. The food was good, we felt a little rush and uncomfortable for our holiday gathering!
I loved the atmosphere of this place. Went with three other girlfriends, had three dishes and two bottles of wine. My friend and I both had the Chicken Francese at the recommendation of our waitress. I should have stuck with my original thought of having the Roast Chicken and Veggies. The Francese was pretty bland and the chicken relatively dry. The vegetables it came with needed a good amount of salt and pepper to flavor.
My other friend had the burger and truffle fries and really enjoyed it. I tried the fries and they were delicious!
My last friend had the Branzino and she really enjoyed it. I'm thinking I just ordered the wrong dish.
I would give this place another try. The wine was delicious and the atmosphere at night was really nice.
Went with 10 people and they have a great variety on the menu. Everyone loved their meals and the ambiance and service was great. Will definitely be going back.
I absolutely loved the environment as well as the food and Rose! The restaurant has exposed brick and a very classy yet casual vibe.
Great spot for a last minute group reservation. Food is good, not spectacular, but good and prices are fair. I could come here also with a date, although it is a bit loud.
It was great. Good food!!!
I wish that our service was better, but the food and wine made up for it. Had a good time and would return.
My best restaurant in SoHo the food is super yamiii the win as well and definitely there service in great, I always recommend to get a reservation if u want to go Friday night ❤️
