The food was just decadent, friendly staff. Just took a while for the waiters to check on us and get extra drinks as we needed refills. Also, their fountain drinks were extremely flat. No bubbles in the seltzer or sodas which left us with not so great cocktails. The neon sign, was super cute but no where to take a picture since diners sat underneath and ate. Overall, good experience, super cute date night spot and the food and portions were perfect. Some items were a little salty also so caution the waiter when ordering.

Really bad service. Spent 20 minutes waiting on my table while the waitress was busy chatting with other guests. I had to go in and ask the host to get someone to serve me. Then they got my order wrong ( I ordered a salad with chicken and it came without chicken). It's a shame because is a nice place with decent food and reasonable prices.

I’ve been to Galli several times before the pandemic, last night was the first time back post-2020 and the service definitely has gone downhill. Upon arriving to an empty host stand and fairly empty restaurant (Sunday at 5) we were a bit apprehensive but I knew the food would be good so we waited. A few minutes later, the hostess came out with food in her mouth and greeted us mid-chew. We clearly caught her during her dinner. After getting checked in, our waitress came over..and this is where service was noticeably bad. There was a language barrier issue, so we had a hard time understanding her. Not an issue really (lots of pointing at menu items) but she also didn’t seem to know the menu. We asked her opinion on different pastas, and she got the description wrong on most- offering vegetarian options when we said we wanted meat dishes, not knowing which pastas were tomato-based vs cream based, etc. She also did not really know the wine list (it’s not a big list) and brought out the wrong red I asked for. Finally, after a mishap with the bill where my friend ended up paying for the whole thing and not splitting it even though we gave her 2 different cards, we were just ready to go. She apologized and offered to re-do it, but we ended up just doing venmo later. Food was great, ambiance is cute for a date night but the wait staff leaves much to be desired. Maybe I’d sit at the bar next time but I don’t think I’ll be back soon unfortunately.

Very dismissive server. Had to ask for water to be brought to the table twice. He never checked up on us and had to wait over 20 minutes just to get a drink. When we were ready for the tab we waited over 15 minutes to try to waive our server down and just ended up asking another waiter to help us get the tab.

No flavor whatsoever. Too small and tables are so tight together, you have no room for your plates. Very “trendy” so you’ll encounter every “Instagram” influencer with cameras and equipment out shooting content. So also be prepared for that.

Stumbled upon this gem while visiting with our daughter in SOHO. Soho is worth the trip for shopping and street walking. The food was excellent. It was a great day so we chose to sit outside.

We were impressed immediately by the friendly and helpful staff and service. The menu is very good family, country Italian. The food items and courses were described and discussed without any pretense. Beverages and food arrived (and was taken away) in a timely manner, including the final check! The prices were fair with no surprises. We’ll be returning with friends

SOHO Location was great, but actually the worst service, horrific food and would not recommend this place to anyone. I felt bad for the waiter so gave a large tip-no silverware, did not pick up dirty dishes, served new plates on top of old plates, bread was gross and we did not eat the chicken or pasta-AWFUL all around and I eat out all the time:( would have rather gotten a $1 slice of pizza as this was also expensive for disgusting food

The food is terrible and the only thing worse is the service. None of the food is seasoned. It’s bland and void it f any flavour. I asked for garlic powder, Italian seasoning or anything that could season my dishes and they claimed the only thing they had fresh or dried was salt, pepper, and garlic olive oil. We had the stuffed mushrooms which we sent back, chicken park which was so planed I had no interest in eating and the chicken marsala which wasn’t as bad as everything else it was just the poor quality of the chicken breast which were likely previously frozen and my guess is freezer burned due to how spongy it was. We didn’t ask for anything we just simply had them remove full plates of food and when we asked for the check our waiter who was rude and acted bothered by us the hole time said “my manager said I can’t charge you” so at least they acted on it without us saying anything. In the end we were there almost two hours due to extremely slow service and had to try and find food that was consumable at 10pm so regardless of the no charge, the waste of our time was a huge disappointment.

The place is very dirty. The food scraps between connecting tables are not cleaned. Spider webs all over the rear open area. Noise level is super high.

All three of us enjoyed our appetizers and entrees. The Chicken Parmesan was one of the best had in a long time. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and accommodated several off-menu requests too. We had fun enjoying our meal in a chill, downtown NYC setting.

This restaurant was beyond disappointing. Our order was wrong . . . twice and our server forgot about it. She was busy socializing with the other workers. The food was meh and definitely not authentic. The parmesan came out in a shaker and they didn’t have a fresh grated option. Lastly, completely overpriced for mediocre food.

My family and I came back to Galli because we enjoyed the young, energetic vibe coupled with above average food preparation. The bolognese was excellent and the chicken parm was more tender and delicious than most of the veal parm I've had in the city. My only gripe is the herculean task it took just to get some bread. We look forward to our next visit.
