Galli Restaurant SoHo
What Insiders Are Saying
Crowd-pleasing Italian in Soho. Bring a crowd of your friends sometime.
Everything was amazing, service was very fast. My girlfriend and I were there for our anniversary dinner in the food met our expectations, but we would have liked to take our time and not be rushed. Overall great though!
GREAT friendly neighborhood place. WONDERFUL food at reasonable prices too. Staff is just the best, efficient and care! Great mix of young people and long term Soho residents. We find sound level too high, but other than that its about as good as you can get!
I went here for a birthday dinner with 6 friends and the food was delicious. We split the magic mushrooms and mozz chips and everyone got their own plate. The chicken parm was out of this world. And a free bottle of wine on Mondays, what could be better!
Went for my brother’s 21st birthday with a party of 7 people. Fast and great service! Food was delicious!
Food was delicious, service was great! would def come back.
Waiter was very nice! Chicken parm was amazing.
Two moms took 4 college age girls to Galli on a Thursday night. Had a reservation and as soon as we all arrived we were seated (nice host showed us to the bar to wait). Once seated, waiter was attentive but didn’t rush us to decide on drink or food order. Yes, the restaurant was loud but had good energy and the girls loved the atmosphere. Cocktails & wine were delicious, food was good...chicken parm & pasta was a bit salty, salmon was good not great but two had shrimp salad and loved it. Overall, cool atmosphere, good food, great drinks and nice waiter. Also, love the area! I would recommend if you want a lively dinner spot.
I have been to Galli a few times and would highly recommend this restaurant to family and colleagues. The menu is excellent, portions are generous and the food is just delicious. The service is always great and the waiters always provide good guidance on choices. I can't wait to return. My only issue is that there is always a long wait for the bathroom. :)
Really cool place. Very casual atmosphere with excellent service. Food was very good. It is a bit on the noisy side but some of that was due to an extra loud group of ladies who in fairness were out having some fun. Great spot.
Wonderful food! Just wish that there was more light in the restaurant. Also the music was too loud
The back room is pretty with a brick wall and glass ceiling. I had the Caesar wrap and fries. The wrap was good but the fries were chunky, dry and tasteless!! Cocktails were strong and good.
Not rushing to go back anytime
Overall - disappointing. Food & service was mediocre.
Galli is a gem! Nice bar area with incredible staff! The ambiance was comfortable with appropriate background music. Service is the restaurant was timely and the food is probably the beat part of our experience. Five of us had very different dishes - pasta, seafood and chicken with different salads, and we all were very happy! The portions are just right, and the value of the entire meal with alcohol was incredible. I would highly recommend Galli for any occasion and look forward to another visit when I’m in NY again.
Cute spot, excellent food, great wine!
Service and food amazing. A gem tucked away in SoHo
the food was good. the service was good. my one complaint is the sound level. the music was way too loud. which then makes people talk louder and the whole thing is too loud.
Het eten is matig, niets bijzonders. De bediening brengt de starters en het hoofd gerecht tegelijk, waardoor je binnen 30 minuten weer buiten staat. Fast food service met een hoge prijs. Nooit meer.
Food was Amazing ! The pasta was perfection. I have no bad comments to make. You can’t go wrong with ordering here.
Great food - good service - very loud
Galli never disappoints!
Good happy hour!
Love, love, love the location and environment! Our server was a bit busy, so we didn’t get our bread and drink orders in for quite a while after getting seated. Food was great — would stick to the more sauce-filled dishes next time and skip the “salciccia” — May have gotten a little sick from it.
There are pro's and cons to this place. An attractive old brick building, however, it draws a younger crowd and is impossible to hear your dinner partners. Menu is nice and food is good, however, all of our main courses were way too salty.
Everything started off great, the server brought out the drinks and first course. I ordered the arugula salad, it was amazing. The entree was brought out and I was still trying to finish my salad, I felt pressure to either stuff my face with the rest or not finish it. I did not get to finish the salad do to the fact my entree was ready. I felt very rushed and was very disappointed. The food runner was not apologetic.
Great food (omg that truffle mushroom pasta! I could live on that), but very noisy. The waiter could hardly hear our order! Reasonably priced and good portions, would definitely return.
We arrived minutes before a very large party. The noise level was really high. We asked if there was another table and the Hostess was professional and accommodating in meeting our request. Food is always fantastic.
Took a date there and the vibe music and food was on point we enjoyed ourselves
Fantastic Mother's Day Brunch with great breakfast and lunch options to please the crowd. Great food and fantastic service. Will definitely visit again.
Not the best service, really didn't come by the table much. Too dark and the music was TOO loud and didn't sound good. Food was alright. Overpriced for what it is
Great service and atmosphere!
Food & deserts were very good & tasty.
Definitely will be back!
lovely, lively restaurant. with friendly services, and very delicious food. the grilled fish and tuna tartar are wonderful. Bread is not as good (but it is free so I am not going to complain). I will be back.
The food was okay. The stuffed mushrooms were drenched in some kind of sauce and had too much garlic. The rigatoni was fresh but over cooked. There’s potential but it just didn’t hit the mark during our dining experience.
The weirdest vibe imaginable, like someone put a nightclub crowd in a half-decent restaurant. I couldn't even hear my other diner for the majority of the meal, and they were playing music I'd expect to hear at a college reunion. Food was good, but not worth the price, particularly for the ambiance or lack-thereof. Cocktails were the only thing that was worth it.
Buen ambiente muy acogedor, camareros y personal a tu servicio estupendo. Precio bastante bueno para NY. Cocina excelente.
Galli is great for almost any food need. There are vegetarian and gluten free options, and every meal I've had there has been delicious.
Went for my birthday with my parents. Great spot, great food and fast service. Would definitely come back again!
Food was decent and the atmosphere was nice. It's a good place to go for a quick bite.
The pasta was delicious (especially the vodka sauce with prosciutto)!! I will be going back and trying out their other dishes.
The front of the restaurant is quiet and the back is very loud. The food was okay, we had mozz chips with pomodoro sauce, chicken parm sliders. The sauce is what makes the mozz chip okay to eat, the sliders were regular. For our main the penne alla vodka was super salty, the chicken marsala was decent the sauce added flavor the chicken itself was bland. The restaurant was in a great location but the food needs a few upgrades.
