Had an excellent meal here, only 3 stars for ambiance because we were outside and there were fruit flies everywhere, which I understand can't be helped to an extent. Other than that everything was perfect!
Awful experience - waiter was rude, impatient, food took a whole hour to come out (not even the appetizers). Food was not good at all, I can make a better pasta than what I paid for. Unfortunate that this is an "Italian" restaurant.
I frequent this restaurant at least 6 to 8 times a year for the past few years but last night was the worst experience I’ve had with them to date.
We had to be seated at the bar because they didn’t have seats available for my reservation due to the rain.
My friend ordered a margarita that didn’t taste like a margarita. The bartender was kind enough to adjust it but she ended up leaving it unfinished.
It takes about 15 minutes for our food order to be placed with the bartender and after that another 20 -25 minutes go by and I notice food sitting on the counter. I then ask (beyond hungry at this point) if that is our food.
Understandably The bartender says he’ll get a Runner to check on our order because he was very busy.
Another 10 minutes go by before our food is brought over. I’m livid because it was the same food that has been sitting for at least 20 minutes…it’s cold. The Runner apologizes and gets our food reheated. He was nice.
The Staff are always nice here but this experience makes me not want to visit this restaurant for another six months if it all again in the future.
Even trying to pay the bill was a hassle. Everyone one was unavailable for patrons sitting at the bar I guess ?
What was supposed to be a 45 minute girls dinner turned into 90 minutes of annoyance
I tipped according to the service I received 🙄
Love this restaurant! Italian comfort food at its finest, with some seriously high-quality ingredients. Great outdoor seating space. Loved our server. Highly recommended.
Although I have had dinner here in the past this visit was not great there was one waiter for the entire restaurant not his fault but the restaurant in general could’ve managed this much better the wait food and drinks was just ridiculous. The bar had no stock. The place was literally so dark I had to use the candle on the table to see the menu will probably not go back again
we made a fairly last minute reservation..outside, then it rained...the hostess was great!!! got us a table inside in a short time......not a great table, but hey, we were inside
my only criticism would be that we were ignored by our waiter for at least 10 minutes...I know everyone is short staffed right now, and we are patient...but just acknowledge people!!! once he came to the table we ordered everything right then. it came pretty quick and all was delicious
Food was disappointing with unsatisfactory portions. Ordered gnocchi with pesto and received 8 small dry pieces.
Quick lunch and really great choice. We ordered the chicken sliders and a Caesar salad and shared both. They were really tasty and so much food we couldn’t finish. Service was great.
Service was great and food is good but it’s too expensive for what it is.
Very difficult to order an after dinner drink (amaro). Not on the drink menu. Bartender was rude and not knowledgeable. Was like pulling teeth to get a glass of Amaro Montenegro.
The drinks were strong the service was good. The food was ok, nothing special. Wouldn’t come back.
Food was lacking in taste. Only good thing was the brownie. I will go back to have that brownie again.
The food was fine and the service was good. The music was very very loud - they were playing hip hop and when we asked them to lower it they wouldn’t.
Out of half their menu, got our appetizers after entree, missing standard cocktails
We waited for over 30 minutes for drinks. Got stale bread while waiting. Then left since a server didn’t take our order.
Horrible experience. We’ve been here many times prior to the pandemic (you could say regulars) and experience was was decent at bar. This experience was bad. Upon entrance, was told there was no bartender and no bar seating, okay (will revisit later). Ordered brunch and unlimited drinks. Waited 15 minutes for first round of drinks, which never came and ultimately asked the busboy for (who brought them a few minutes later). Bread at table tasted like it was from 2 days prior (saw the table beside send theirs back with the same complaint). Food came about 30 minutes later. Food was definitely not the quality we’ve had before. Flavorless. Asked for salt and pepper, which was never brought. We physically went to bar to ask for an additional cocktail. Cocktails (Aperol Spritz) tasted substantially different each round, which was 4. Throughout meal, no one checked in. When we asked for the check, it came about 15 minutes later. Overall, horrible experience and will not be returning. A good friend of mine who was a regular agreed that the place has went downhill and stopped patronizing months ago. I’m not one to leave reviews, but this visit really stood out to me.
Overall it was decent! Our server was very nice & service was as pretty good. The person who sat us though seemed very confused & also gave us the wrong menus. The food was good but nothing super note worthy. The restaurant is cute & in a great location.
We have six people ordered six different pasta. All of them are extremely salty.
Food was average. Menu is small. Service was slow and had to keep asking for our server. For an Italian the wine list is also very small. We ordered apps to share: bureaus salad was nice, tuna tartar along with the the arugula salad but it was missing the prosciutto so had to ask for this which took some time. Had the mushroom pasta and pesto pasta for main, both good and tasty. Restaurant is pretty dark inside to not so easy to see to eat. Overall it was an average meal. Would not return
Very accommodating. Staff was very friendly and amazing expresso martini’s 😍😍
music was too loud and food was so so. service was very nice though!
Celebrated a birthday. Had a great time.
Food was okay. They served a lemon with the sticker still on which was strange. Dined outside and was nice to be able to have a conversation without overly loud music, which I appreciated.
This place was absolutely awful. I don’t even know where to begin, the food was stale and arrived very very late, we ordered the burger and the tuna tartar. The servers were not apologetic at all. Our first server sent over another server who also proceeded to neglect us, then while we were finishing our last round of drinks, the biggest kicker - huge rat ran past behind me on the awning of the patio of the outdoor dining area. DISGUSTING. I have ate out several times and rats do NOT graze my back as I’m enjoying a glass of wine. I yelped in horror and the server nor anyone else who saw the incident did nothing! We had to personally go up to them.
A waited an hour for my food and it never came. So I left.
People who got there after me and ordered way more than me, got their food forst
Amazing vibe and delicious food :)
The service was excellent, the food was good and it was cool vibe.
Cute spot, food was good, drinks were yummy. We had reservations for 6:30 p.m. and left at 11:00 p.m.! We were never rushed out. Would def visit again.
The food was quite mediocre and the hip hop music just didn’t match the vibe of the restaurant
We went specifically for the rice balls, but since covid they are no longer on the menu. They should adjust their menu online to match what is in restaurant.
It may have been the loudest restaurant I have ever gone to. If you are looking for a quiet place to dine, this is not the place.
Great food, disappointed it wasn't the full menu.
Good was great. Meatballs and calamari, and chicken marsala are a must!
Service was horrible though, no one came to even take a drink order for almost 15 minutes. They after that we could barley get our waiters attention.
the staff was super nice don’t get me wrong. and the vibe was great! everything was presentable and pretty inside. but after a few hours of searching for a restaurant to go to, my girlfriend and i made reservations online to the galli for her birthday dinner. it asked our occasion so of course i put birthday. when we got there they seated us in the back it was a cute two seater table with a candle light. our glasses and forks were dirty but i tried not to pay any mind, but it really creeped me out since covid is a big thing right now. i ordered chicken marsala and she ordered penne vodka. my dinner was a decent size and hers was more like a kids meal. tiny bowl and barely any food in it. i did not like mine one bit, didn’t seem cooked enough and didn’t taste like chicken marsala at all. she said hers was okay and definitely not filling. mind you it was 24 for hers and 27 for mine. as we started finishing up(rather quick) we noticed others were being seated around us and given bread and butter with their water. (we didn’t get any of that) not even after we sat there for 30 minutes before ordering and after eating. the staff was nice but the service wasn’t that great. i hate saying bad things about any restaurant because everyone has a different experience and it definitely seemed like others were enjoying their time more than we were. i was hoping to get a nice desert for my girlfriends birthday and make it special but it turned out to be a total fail.
Service was below par. There was a staff meeting during the time we were waiting to order. Not the best time to hold a staff meeting.
Nice time sat outside waiter was gewat
Galli used to be a decent place to dine with friends or even a casual business meal, however, the quality seems to really have gone down in the past couple of years. The volume level (and music choice) was way too loud for conversation. The prices seemed a bit steep for the quality of the food, and the grilled calamari was almost inedible it was so rubbery. I would not go back nor recommend Galli any time soon.
Great outdoor setting. Happy hour NOT available for outdoor tables.
I've enjoyed Galli much more in the past. The waiter didn't seem to understand anything we were asking for (I asked for a side of bacon and received a gravy boat of bacon bits), and the ambience wasn't reflective of what was actually going on in the restaurant. Overall just ok, it's one of those places where ok food/service acceptable in the past because it was fun, but now it's not super fun so it's just ok food.
Food wasn’t the best , Shirley temple was flat also
Great food, great vibe, nothing but good times when I come here!
About as run-of-the-mill as Italian gets and lacking authenticity. Want some greens with that dish? You have to order an entree-priced salad. Pass.
