Galli Restaurant SoHo
Love this place — the salmon entree is by far one of my fave in NYC, so simple and so good
The food was fantastic. The food does not match the atmosphere. We had to leave as fast as possible because the music was way too loud and club music. did not fit the scene at all. the food was amazing though.
Pretty good food. Service could have been better
The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was very food.
Food was great, complimentary bottle with a party of 4 or more. Had a full course meal, spread out, perfect timing.
The service was horrible. The music was extremely loud. we felt like an after thought as if we were bothering them being there
Favorite restaurant in New York. Perfect spot for a group dinner. Food and service are awesome. Music is fantastic. Galli provides a very unique and high quality experience.
It was loud in there, barely could hear myself think, and the food costs too much for the portion
The place is very nice. A bit small but ok. The food needed salt as it was very bland. Everyone in my party of 6 felt the same way. The table they sat us at was supposed to be for 7, but we ended up as 6 and thank god because they squeezed us in, we never would have fit comfortably. The staff stood near our table(seated near their station area) with the most miserable faces on. All in all we had a great girls night but do not think we would go back.
Love Galli. I've been there several times... mostly for lunch. This time is was dinner. The food is really good... exceptional in some cases like the beet salad and the chicken marsala. The service was very good as well and we were a group of 7 people this time. My only complaint is that the back room is extemely loud. There were actually some guys behind us who would literally shout like they were at a soccer match. If you want a quieter meal without having to shout and end up hoarse at the end of the night, sit in a booth or a table in the front of the restaurant.
The food was really mediocre to bad. Atmosphere was great and service was nice, too.
Good Restaurant, food was pretty good but not blown away. The only issue I have with this restaurant is that its extremely loud and you can't hear anyone
Waiter messed up the order of the plates.
Dishes were uninteresting. Gnocchi were overcooked (and surprisingly arrived very fast, before everything else).
The place is nice and the food is decent, but I was a bit surprised to have a bill of $100 for lunch for 2 (one dish of pasta, one salad, a tiramisu $14 and 3 small rice balls for our baby at $15!). Value for money is scary low, even for NY.
Galli is a great neighborhood spot suitable for a casual date, group gathering, or solo meal at the bar. Everything on the menu is generally very good and all reasonably priced. Service is a bit lacking but that doesn't prevent me from eating there at least once every few weeks.
Lots of great options, food was delicious. Very loud though unfortunately
Amazing food and ambiance! This is one of my son's favorite places to eat and he's chosen it for his birthday dinner for the past 3 years! Outstanding!
Very nice atmosphere with very good N. Italian menu choices. Very accomodating for larger parties.
My go to spot in Soho. Trendy and delicious
Great Atmosphere and really good food. You can’t go wrong with any appetizer. Might have been the best calamari I’ve ever had. Not that it’s a huge deal but the one thing that dissapointes me was that we didn’t get any bread!!!! So many good sauces but no bread. Only table not to receive any.
Food and service was great. The loud rap music didn't fit with the Italian restaurant theme and was distracting.
Even though there was a big room in the back, they sat us at a table right by the front door. It was a bit crowded at our table but we made due. Service was excellent, and food came out quickly, as did the drinks. Food, drinks, and appetizers were overpriced. I read good reviews about the rice balls but for $14, we received three golf-ball size rice balls. We went with family because the name of the restaurant was the same as our last name. When that was mentioned to the manager, he was nice enough to give us champagne on the house. We had a very nice time but I felt that overall, the value we received was not equal to the amount of money we spent. Not sure we would go back.
Great food and drink but very very noisy so make sure you can handle loud music and loud crowds
Nice place for groups. Decent food at a good price point. Nothing extraordinary. I liked the flatbread to share and some ppl got pasta dishes that were good. I got the veal but I wouldn’t recommend it.
Great, crowd-pleasing food. Really well prepared. Service a bit slow. Loud.
Food was average. Service was average.
Another great meal at Galli. Always busy and as tables close together noisy. Food and service excellent
Would recommend if you want a quick bite to eat as service is fast. Probably better italian in the city.
First time at Galli, will definitely return. Service was on point, food was delicious. Look forward to trying more of their specialties next time for dinner. Cool, Chic spot in soho for dinner or drinks.
The food and service were very good. The place is small and it was extremely loud. I had asked for a table in the back corner which they did provide, but the noise level was LOUD. Also, they only had 1 bathroom shared by women and men which left a long line of people waiting to use the restroom.
As always, everything was great!
I’ve been twice before and never had a problem. Fritto misto as an appetizer was good but then food took another 30-40 minutes to come out and there were only two other tables being served, restaurant was mostly empty. Today may have been an off day- salad leaves were gross and old and the cherry tomatoes were over ripe, mushy, and not fresh. One of my poached eggs was served wayyy overcooked for my eggs benny. Waiter offered drinks on the house and apologized which was very nice, they took some of the food off the bill as well. Much appreciated but won’t be back.
Great food, music and customer service. I will be returning !
Great food and ambiance the back brick room is beautiful and the pesto pasta is delicious
The service was lovely, food was pretty good but there was not much sauce on the pasta leaving it a little bland. It was SUPER loud, with most of the guests screaming. Definitely more of a party atmosphere than a place to have a date or other occasion calling for conversation.
Awesome spot with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Trendy vibes but not obnoxiously so.
I loved dining at Galli and it also looked like it had a good bar too! I would recommend others to check out this place and I hope to come back. :)
Friendly place and lively but food really wasn't particularly good
Delicious food, great service and location
Need to revamp the bathroom. Need additional bathroom space to accommodate customers.
