While the food was good and the value of our meal was great (due to a Pulsd deal), the noise level and vibe of the restaurant was terrible. What I thought was going to be a romantic Friday evening dinner turned out to feel like eating a meal in a club. Gnocchi and Chicken Francaise simply don't mesh well with blasting hip hop music. It was also difficult getting the attention of staff as the restaurant's small bar was heavily populated.
Food was okay.
Service was subpar. Perhaps server was new. She barely checked in. Ended up asking other servers for water, additional drinks, check etc...
Salad was good and so was portion. Unfortunately our entrees were extremely salty. My husband sent his back and didn’t bother to order another dish. I ate a bit of mine and then gave up. We decided to leave with no dessert. Our waiter, however was great and very attentive. Restaurant is loud but fine if you’re into that vibe.
it was a lovely restaurant but a bit too loud. the food and service were both very good.
I’d recommend for a birthday celebration, not a date night. Food was okay, service was pretty bad but i think the waiter was training. Overall better for a young crowd.
Delicious food - a very memorable experience in NYC.
The food here was average. Unfortunately, the service was not great. It took a while for the waitress to come over to our table to acknowledge us or take drink orders. The appetizer was brought out after everyone got their food and the food was brought out at different times, so my husband finished his pasta before my children and I even received our food. With the amount of italian restaurants in NYC- I would go somewhere else next time.
Everything was delicious!!! Great atmosphere and music
Food was yummy
I loved Galli when I first came to New York to visit. I made tonight’s reservation for a late Valentine’s Day dinner with my boyfriend and we were both disappointed with the food. I first ordered the Pollo dish and it was bland and flavorless. Tasted like an expensive buttered noodles. My boyfriend ordered the Bolognese and it was basically rigatoni with red sauce and a tiny bit of meat. The service was okay, but nothing great. Overall I’m really disappointed with the experience for a Valentine’s Day dinner and I don’t see myself coming back anytime soon.
It was perfect
It was really great, definitely a little pricy but it’s the type of place that makes it worth it. Will be back!
I have no complaints. This place is amazing. I will be returning.
Terrible service , the waitress was rude and was annoyed when I asked again for the drinks she never brought us.
This place is incredible. I will be coming back for sure. No complaints, the food is out of this world
The food is great which is why I keep coming back. Second time made reservations and was sat next to host stand again. Which is loud, on display, and degrading. It is the bar area, with all happy hour noise
You'd be hard-pressed to find another spot in SoHo that accommodates bigger groups, costs less than $30 per entree, and bears little resemblance to the incredibly snobby see-and-be-seen joints up and down the block. Our server was incredibly kind and didn't rush us through entrees or dessert, even though there was high demand for a table. The music was bass-heavy and loud, and the environs reminded me a little of a club (what with the neon art & dark interiors), but it's a place I'd go again in the neighborhood for delicious pasta in a responsible-yet-decadent portion.
The food was extremely salty and ma
Some of the entrees were good, some not so much. It would be a pretty loud place if they didn't play pretty loud music, but they do play pretty loud music, so it's not exactly a restful dining experience. Service was uneven and the waiter did that classic thing that I've never understood where he disappeared right as we wanted to get our check. We had high hopes for this place as it's only a couple blocks from our apartment, but I don't think we'll be going back.
What looks like a fun atmosphere with great food on Instagram is actually just a gimmick. The food lacked flavor and the drinks were beyond disappointing. Only thing saving this place is that pink neon sign and the attentive waiters. Our waiter was very pleasant and I felt bad that I had to send my drink back twice. It’s not his fault everything was basically inedible.
Service was terrible the food came out super fast like they had everything already made. The cheese plate had three small pieces of toast and a couple of cubes of cheese and some meat slices. The food wasn’t that great drinks take longer than the food to come out. Again service was terrible I had to ask the server or get his attention every time I wanted to order something. Ambiance was the best part. Long line for bathroom.
Beautiful space but really overpriced for average food
The food was good ! The service was just perfect ! My boyfriend and I had a really great time for his birthday! Thank you !!!
Restaurant has significantly deteriorated since the last time I visited over a year ago. Ambiance is non-existent with tacky neon signs and bright lights, very different than the swanky, dimly lit atmosphere which we were accustomed to.
Food and service were both lackluster, with long wait times between each time we saw our server.
Prices have increased and the quality of the atmosphere, food and service has decreased. There are a lot better places to take your business.
My friends and I had brunch. Service could be greatly improved. The coffee we ordered arrived cold and some orders were wrong altogether. I ordered eggs Benedict and my poached eggs were overcooked so the yolks were hard, not runny. The field greens, hollandaise sauce and bacon were very tasty though. The place has great ambiance and that was my favorite part of my experience.
Their dishes are delicious, never disappointing. I wish they didn’t discontinue Vongole pasta...
Nice restaurant, good atmosphere, good service. Portions were ample and food was satisfying.
Besides the fact that the food wasn't what I was expecting, the staff is professional and caring, making you feel comfortable and well served. The place has good wine too. The restaurant was full of patrons, but that didn't bother me.
The pasta and the fish are fresh and perfect cook. The problem I had that the pasta sauce has too much garlic flavor for my taste, and the lemon chicken was lack of character, it was flavorless.
Still, it is an excellent choice to have a lovely dinner. It is kind of noisy, but it doesn't bother me at all, keep that in mind if you are looking for a quiet ambiance.
Overall very good, food was solid, drinks were strong, service was excellent. Our entrees were delicious and would go back. The charcuterie board was a little lite and not what we expected.
Such a SOHO gem! Love it here, perfect for a plethora of occasions.
Definitely get a pasta dish!
It was so noisy that we went elsewhere for coffee
Great vibes. Great food. Great service. Definitely check this place out.
My colleague and I had the worst service we’ve probably ever experienced. Our waitress never checked on us - not once. She got my colleague’s order wrong but we never fixed it since we couldn’t find the waitress. The waitress took my food without asking if I was finished (I wasn’t) and was generally just rude.
Great ambiance. Interesting menu. Portion size is perfect.
The food and cocktails were delicious, but the service (especially at this price point) was terrible, def not worth it. Pleasant, when we saw them, but that was rare and then they forgot all requests. Took forever just to get a drink, when we first sat down. Plenty other places in NYC to check out. Unfortunately, the kitchen needs to talk to the front.
Food was delicious but service was not good. The minute we sat the waiter told us that we needed to order quickly because they had another reservation for our table. We showed up on time to our reservation. That set the tone for the rest of the evening.
Overpriced, noisy, and food was meh
So noisy with blasting music while staff all hung around and gave poor service. Food was not good at all. Never again.
We hosted a Team Celebration party at Galli on Saturday Nov 30th. Appetizers and Entrees were offered in the 3-course Prix Fixe menu were perfect for our large group. Great atmosphere and Service was outstanding.
