Galli Restaurant SoHo
Great place great food and wonderful service. Our waiter was so attentive and went above and beyond - even for a Saturday Night !
Early dinner reservation. Party of seven. Able to be seated despite a couple running late. Nice vibe. Music was not too loud and a very cool mix of genres.
Food was fantastic. Everyone ordered something different and each person thought that their dish was excellent.
Would definitely come back again.
Way too loud!!!!
It was my boyfriends bday but the service was horrible
if you think a charcuterie plate consisting of a few thinly sliced cold cuts, sorry crumbles of parmesan cheese, and three grapes is worth $19, come here.
the music choice, better suited to a club, was unbearable and felt at odds with the cuisine and atmosphere.
i would absolutely not come back.
Very nice ambiance and good food. A bit loud for our taste, but overall great date spot!
The food came too quickly and we didn't have time to enjoy a conversation. We felt rushed. Restaurant is nice, though, I'd go again and ask for everything to slow down.
Awesome restaurant. Food was great and our whole party had fun!! They were able to sit 8 people without an issue
Amazing wine, great food and friendly staff
Only thing I didn’t like was that my slice of cheesecake was too small everything else was cool
Would definitely recommend! Excellent food and cool vibes.
Great birthday meal
was given an out by time even though I had a reservation
Sheared the pescatore and funghi pastas. It was so delicious! The funghi was absolutely amazing with truffly and sweet notes.
Great food and vibe. Music was on point and made the experience that much better
First. Noise level off the charts. Plus, to make it more annoying, background music that was some sort of rap--club sound. What the hell is up with that? We are trying to eat and have some sort of over our meal conversation. Second. Food was great. Portions were good. Value was good. Our server Pedro was outstanding. Over and above. And everybody in our party said they would go back EXCEPT they couldn't tolerate that level of NOISE again. A shame.
It was pretty average overall. Good value and if you’re looking for solid Italian in SoHo, then definitely worth a visit. Otherwise, not a destination. The prices were fair though.
Love this place — the salmon entree is by far one of my fave in NYC, so simple and so good
The food was fantastic. The food does not match the atmosphere. We had to leave as fast as possible because the music was way too loud and club music. did not fit the scene at all. the food was amazing though.
Pretty good food. Service could have been better
The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was very food.
Food was great, complimentary bottle with a party of 4 or more. Had a full course meal, spread out, perfect timing.
The service was horrible. The music was extremely loud. we felt like an after thought as if we were bothering them being there
Favorite restaurant in New York. Perfect spot for a group dinner. Food and service are awesome. Music is fantastic. Galli provides a very unique and high quality experience.
It was loud in there, barely could hear myself think, and the food costs too much for the portion
The place is very nice. A bit small but ok. The food needed salt as it was very bland. Everyone in my party of 6 felt the same way. The table they sat us at was supposed to be for 7, but we ended up as 6 and thank god because they squeezed us in, we never would have fit comfortably. The staff stood near our table(seated near their station area) with the most miserable faces on. All in all we had a great girls night but do not think we would go back.
Love Galli. I've been there several times... mostly for lunch. This time is was dinner. The food is really good... exceptional in some cases like the beet salad and the chicken marsala. The service was very good as well and we were a group of 7 people this time. My only complaint is that the back room is extemely loud. There were actually some guys behind us who would literally shout like they were at a soccer match. If you want a quieter meal without having to shout and end up hoarse at the end of the night, sit in a booth or a table in the front of the restaurant.
The food was really mediocre to bad. Atmosphere was great and service was nice, too.
Good Restaurant, food was pretty good but not blown away. The only issue I have with this restaurant is that its extremely loud and you can't hear anyone
Waiter messed up the order of the plates.
Dishes were uninteresting. Gnocchi were overcooked (and surprisingly arrived very fast, before everything else).
The place is nice and the food is decent, but I was a bit surprised to have a bill of $100 for lunch for 2 (one dish of pasta, one salad, a tiramisu $14 and 3 small rice balls for our baby at $15!). Value for money is scary low, even for NY.
Galli is a great neighborhood spot suitable for a casual date, group gathering, or solo meal at the bar. Everything on the menu is generally very good and all reasonably priced. Service is a bit lacking but that doesn't prevent me from eating there at least once every few weeks.
Lots of great options, food was delicious. Very loud though unfortunately
Amazing food and ambiance! This is one of my son's favorite places to eat and he's chosen it for his birthday dinner for the past 3 years! Outstanding!
Very nice atmosphere with very good N. Italian menu choices. Very accomodating for larger parties.
My go to spot in Soho. Trendy and delicious
Great Atmosphere and really good food. You can’t go wrong with any appetizer. Might have been the best calamari I’ve ever had. Not that it’s a huge deal but the one thing that dissapointes me was that we didn’t get any bread!!!! So many good sauces but no bread. Only table not to receive any.
Food and service was great. The loud rap music didn't fit with the Italian restaurant theme and was distracting.
Even though there was a big room in the back, they sat us at a table right by the front door. It was a bit crowded at our table but we made due. Service was excellent, and food came out quickly, as did the drinks. Food, drinks, and appetizers were overpriced. I read good reviews about the rice balls but for $14, we received three golf-ball size rice balls. We went with family because the name of the restaurant was the same as our last name. When that was mentioned to the manager, he was nice enough to give us champagne on the house. We had a very nice time but I felt that overall, the value we received was not equal to the amount of money we spent. Not sure we would go back.
Great food and drink but very very noisy so make sure you can handle loud music and loud crowds
