   Also, das Essen war Mega. Wir hatten einen gebuchten Termin seit sechs Monaten und mussten trotzdem noch eine halbe Stunde warten auf den Tisch. Nach dem Essen wollten wir einen Taxi haben und daher war nicht in der Lage, uns ein Taxi zu rufen.

   We booked Gallagher’s as a special treat on the occasion of my wife’s 50th birthday The service was excellent, starter was excellent, but unfortunately our main course was disappointing to say the least, my wife likes her Fillet steak medium to well done, what was served was insulting, an almost cremated butterflied totally overdone piece of crap. I know most people would say, what do you expect, liking for fillet steak well done. It is possible to cook fillet well done without butterflying it and cremating it, I know, I cook it for my wife all the time. My sirloin was not great, tough as old boots. As for value for money, the place is over priced, even by New York standards.

    This was probably my 12th visit to Gallaghers. And the experience was amazing. The steak, lamb chops, burrata, etc. was delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly (rare), lamb chops flavorful, and the sides were delicious. The service (Kevin, Keith) was impeccable. They provided great recommendations, were very friendly, attentive, and cordial. Harold was also very welcoming and friendly! Gallaghers remains one of my top favorite restaurants in Midtown West. Kudos!

    Ate from the lunch special only $29, food was outstanding, received the same level of attention has the nxt table eating from standard menu. Food quality was amazing, clam chowder to die for, steak filet mignon cooked to perfection and cheesecake 1 of the best we've ever had. This place so good we have booked to go bk on our last night of our new york stay. Highly recommended and wish UK had a gallaghers :(

    We took our Grandson here for his Birthday and everything was over the top. We have travelled the world and all agreed when we left this was the best dinner and experience we have ever had. So much that I booked an additional reservation to go again before we leave for home!

    Lunch was just awesome as usual. The shrimp cocktail appetizer, and the turkey club sandwich were just out of this world. The best of all was the service by Nikki. She was so sweet and catered to our every need.

    Overall a good experience somewhat marred by a few small service issues. Server misheard my order and brought a medium-well steak when ordered medium rare. In fairness immediately and quickly rectified when the issue was raised and they comped our sides. Would recommend overall.

    We have eaten at many of the high end steak houses in NYC on our any visits there, and Gallaghers is definitely one of our favorites. The ambiance is great - old world steakhouse - and the maitre D and wait staff are top notch. The house drink is a manhattan and the martins are perfectly made. And, lest I forget the food - it is delicious. So many good sides - the green beans, the creamed spinach and the addictive hash browns and onion rings! And, the steak! Great for date night or pre-theater. It is definitely on our short list of NYC restaurants.

    Visiting NYC for my birthday. Ate at Gallagher’s. Loved the ambiance here. Giant fridge we can see into FULL of fresh meat! Service was good; got the job done, no extra warmth in service. They were busy. Loved sitting at the bar for a cocktail before dinner. Great experience!

    Me and my mother visited for their price fixed lunch and it was by far the best value lunch I have ever had. 30$ for a 3 course fine dining experience with lovely staff. Definitely worth the visit if you want a 5-star course meal for an amazing value.

    Very nice restaurant that serves big portions. We had great service and were not hurried at all. In fact, we said up front that we wanted to take our time, and that request was respected. Gallagher's is billed as a $$$$ restaurant, and that is accurate. It is expensive, and you pay for each thing ordered. Nothing is included with your steak, just meat, but it is very fine beef. Despite the cost, I didn't consider ordering anything but steak, because that is their specialty. My cocktail was very good and lasted nearly to the end of our meal. We had the strawberry shortcake and chocolate layer cake (our preferred one) for dessert. Both were fine but not special. They could upgrade their desserts a bit. Other than that, we enjoyed our evening and meal then took a very short walk down to the Neil Simon Theater and enjoyed the musical.

    This restaurant did not disappoint!!! The first surprise was that we were seated at a round table which was perfect for 8 women. Six of us did the Lunch Price Fix menu do we were a little rushed to see our show. But the waiter did his best and got us through in time. The food is delicious and plentiful. Highly recommend the sliced filet. They cooked it exactly as everyone ordered. Definitely recommend.

    Everyone in my party of 4 had the lunch special. Service was wonderful. Warm tasty bread. Tomato cream soup, Manhattan clam chowder (which had ample vegetables and clams), good ceaser salad, and a wedge salad that tasted as good as it looked. Entrees of salmon and sliced filet were perfectly cooked. Key lime pie had lots of flavor and not overly sweet. A good time that we will repeat.

    We were met at the entrance and from there the service excelled. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and we had the most wonderful time. The food was outstanding, the ambiance was second to none, but it was the service that really stood out. Adam was our server and he was exceptional. If you need somewhere special to go, Gallaghers is the place to be.
