Excelled experience. Our First time here for my boyfriends bday. We had a great time. Fantastic food and great service. We will be back!

No trip to New York would be complete without a trip to Gallagher’s, fantastic atmosphere and wonderful food

Probably the best steak I've ever had, you will NOT be disappointed. The service is just okay, MAJOR attitude, I ordered a $24 glass of wine, they should have let me sample prior to filling the glass, most restaurants of that caliber would have.

Service is impeccable no complaints. Ribeye was just ok. Wife and son had filet they said really good top 10 steak. Had a great time waiter joked with us and made the experience really enjoyable

Excellent food, service and ambience. Grilling over hickory logs triumphs many times over the standard broiler. Looking for a chance to be back.

What a great steakhouse! We had a fabulous meal with excellent service and a great bottle of wine. What more can you ask for?

One of the best steaks we have had. Fabulous service, amazing food & a really thoughtful waiter who brought a surprise cake for my husband. We did the $29 3 course lunch. Such good value for money and each course was absolutely delicious. We will definitely go back. Would highly recommend.

Very nice restaurants. Super good prime ribs. U can taste the beef!! But port house for two is only good but not excellent.

Wow !!! Had heard other reviews about Gallagher’s so said we would try and it didn’t disappoint!! We went for the lunch special and by far it was the best meal we had while in nyc ..
the steak was the best steak I’d even eaten and that’s saying something .. loved the restaurant decor with an abundance of wall memorable to gaze at while waiting .. service was prompt and waiter were helpfully pleasant but not overbearing as some places can be .. ..
if you couldn’t manage to finish your dessert no prob they wrap it up for you for take away ( we didn’t have that problem!!!)
It was just fab from start to finish please put it on your list while in nyc

Amazing food and service!

Lovely evening. Fabulous food. One of the best French onion soups I have ever tasted. Very attentive waiters.
Only negative is that the sides are too big for two so smaller portions that would be more suitable for 2 would be a good option and would be more favourably priced for 2.

We were on vacation and the four of us went to Gallagher’s for dinner. It is a beautiful old restaurant in midtown Manhattan. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and in general, a great atmosphere. We enjoyed most of our food. The hash browns could have been crispier and my husband’s half of our filet mignon was tough. My part was very good. All in all we had a great experience at Gallagher’s steak house.

The best steak I have had in years 2 weeks in a row service is all done by seasoned professionals the cooks cook your Oder to exact specific drinks great deserts wonderful a great night out to be had by all

I introduced another NYC friend to this astounding restaurant when we celebrated her birthday. The waiter was fantastic-very professional, friendly and anticipated everything we could have wanted. The food was , as always, outstanding. My friend will be coming back with her husband.

I asked for a ribeye rare and it was medium rare !!! So for the price I was a bit deceived...

I was with a friend this past Saturday I ordered the filet. The filet was delish however it was cold when it made it to the table and HAD to it back.

My friend ordered the dry aged steak and it was not seasoned well and under cooked. Unfortunately, we didn't send it back just because the preference is not to.

Our service was great and provided by Ceasar. He was AMAZING. THANK YOU CEASAR!!

Anything on the menu but stake should be your first choice🙂

On the booking I said it was for a birthday but the staff did nothing to acknowledge the fact , my husband loved the steak , I had shrimp and they came breaded which was not made clear so the meal was dry and disappointing . The tables are far to close to each other and had to be moved so I could get in and out , you could hear the conversation of the couple on either side. Very expensive for what it was and I wouldn’t go back

So glad we booked this, it made our short stay even more enjoyable! The place is great and the staff were brilliant, they are very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The best steak I've ever eaten and it was great to have a seat in full view of the ovens and pass. We finished the evening off at the bar and they certainly know how to make a cocktail! Would definitely book here again.

Being our 1st experience we felt the tables were very close together and if you wanted to visit the rest room the table had to be moved out in order to do so. Although the food was very good we felt it was overpriced for what it was.

Gallaghers is my go to steakhouse in NYC. It is classic, old school, and rich in tradition. The oysters, salads, and sides are excellent, as are the cocktails and wines. Once you are seated, which may take awhile even with reservations on a weekend evening, there's never a rush. The steaks and salmon are superb. It is pricey, and there are no burgers.

Its the 2nd time my wife and I have been there, 1st time was 5years ago, and it didn't disappoint the 2nd time around. Superb place if you love your steak, also if you love tuna or swordfish. Make sure you go on an empty stomach, as the portions are quite big, it may seem pricey on the menu, but the steaks and fish are melt in the mouth. And don't forget the NY cheesecake, best in NYC by a country mile.

Outstanding Food , my Steak was cooked to perfection, mouthwatering aged beef cooked and prepared at the right temperature. My brides tuna was delicious as she enjoyed her Pinot while my friend tried the full body Red.
It happened to be my birthday so I was pleasantly surprised with a candle on a cake🙏 The famous folks that reminded of last time I dined there will always be part of the great history of Gallagher’s. Thank you!
