   It was with great anticipation that I went to Gallaghers for the first time. Dinner at 10 p.m. after a Broadway show, with a reservation made several days in advance. The dining room is charming, although a bit noisy and slightly cold due to the powerful air conditioning. We chose to have one of the house specialties: the Porterhouse, which came with baked and fried potatoes (charged separately). The meat was sublime—tender and extremely juicy. The fries were a bit too overcooked, while the baked potato was just okay. We finished with a Key Lime Pie for dessert, which was very good. Overall, Gallaghers almost lived up to my expectations. A (very) negative point: the prices charged and the ignoble practice (very common in this part of the world) of adding an extra 20% for gratuities.

   The crab cake and green salad are an excellent combination. Service from Adam was top notch. He was there exactly when you needed him to be. My partner had the filet and mashed potatoes. Smooth and buttery. It’s an experience for a special occasion for sure. Thank you!
